Marking place

Dontbugmemalone · 05/11/2020 13:03

Thank you @Cream123.

I feel the same, it is hard to stick to it. I've had a tiny bit of progress and lost 1.5kg in 3 days, which will hopefully keep me motivated.
I've made a omelette wrap with hummus and carrots which didn't turn out well but tasted good.
I am aiming to eat 600 cals today and leave some for a chocolate apple later. Not good but I would like to join in with the family.
Good luck to everyone.

1questionshootout · 05/11/2020 18:55

Mmm my ploughmans lunch was really good, and full of protein (1 veggie sausage, pickled egg, 30g cheese, tomatoes, celery cucumber and blob of branston)

Tonight was one of the few things I cook that DH likes, the Halloumi ratatouille from the Fast 800 recipe book. Says it serves 4, so that's 1 for me, 1 for lunch tomorrow, and he polishes off the rest!

That looks delicious @1questionshootout
I might buy the recipe book!

Glad everyone is doing well! I'm having a massive plateau although I haven't been as strict with myself since my holiday so only myself to blame.

Have decided to really go for it over lockdown and make a massive effort to hit my target by 2 December! Have also started the 30'day shred workout plan too to go with it - I'll be a new woman by the end of lockdown GrinGrin

nibdedibble · 06/11/2020 12:14

I’m STILL on that plateau and it’s doing my head in! And now I’m premenstrual and just want food...on the plus side I’m not craving sweet things I guess! Aarghgh I will never be slim and fit again

(But well done everyone else!! 😁)

mummymacphee · 06/11/2020 13:54

@nibdedibble I feel your pain! I am losing at a glacial pace and the temptation to say 'bugger this!' and dive headfirst into a carbtastic binge is almost unbearable! I'm only resisting because my husband didn't think I would stick to this for 12 weeks and I want to prove him wrong 😁

@1questionshootout your meals look delicious!

KOKO everyone!

BillBaileysPasoFace · 06/11/2020 16:19

It is I, 1question in new username.

Thank you-I find the recipe books a bit hit and miss, but I’ve learned to tweak and adapt them. For the ratatouille one, chop the veg small So that it cooks more thoroughly.

bluepixie · 07/11/2020 07:45

I managed my first 800 day yest! Was fine! Taken a while to get there really couldn’t it first 2 weeks. Prob fuelled by my monday celebration which I could feel the bloat for the next day. Really hoping for another loss on Tuesday and into bmi healthy range.
I’m making the beef redang from the cook book tmrw I’m excited already(but doing it with lamb)
Happy weekend everyone

BillBaileysPasoFace · 07/11/2020 08:13

Happy weekend! I'm probabaly going to be a bit more realxed over the weekend, but I will get out for a not-parkrun this morning.

Forgot to photograph last night's dinner, which was garlic prawns with courgette and spaghetti (main F800 book). Lunch today is the courgette canapes from the same book (slice raw courgette into fat coins and top with dips of choice, I have egg mayo and guacamole). Tonight will be salmon fillet with leeks that I need to use up.

bluepixie · 07/11/2020 16:56

Early close of kitchen at 932 and 28g carbs.
Slightly annoyed at being over calories. But hopefully lower carbs will offset it

mrscee · 07/11/2020 21:09

I am on week11 and I've lost 1 stone 10.5 lbs and 5 inches off my stomach doing the fast 800 I love it

mummymacphee · 07/11/2020 21:11

I was doing okay until DD left half her cheesecake- somehow it fell into my mouth on the way to the dishwasher 🙄

To be fair, who leaves half a piece of cheesecake!

LyndaLaHughes · 07/11/2020 21:19

I'm on week 10 of the Fast 800 and have lost 1 stone 11lb and am back into the healthy weight range. It's been a game changer for me. Feel better than I have in a long time and really loving the food.

bluepixie · 08/11/2020 17:27

Wow amazing losses. If I could loose even half I would be so pleased
I’m currently watching a film with DS and really want to raid the biscuit tin!!!!!!!! Not going to do it. Not doing it!

AlgonquinBay · 08/11/2020 18:25

Scales finally shifted today yay!! About a kg down and finally beat the plateau SmileSmileSmile

bluepixie · 08/11/2020 18:51

Well done @AlgonquinBay how many weeks into it r u?
I stayed strong and did 15 mins of excercise instead :)
Def not Ruining it for a rubbish biccie!

wishingitwasfriday · 08/11/2020 19:29

Can I join? I've been on the plan for 10 weeks and have lost 32lb. Beginning to lose my way and get distracted by treat foods. Am hoping to knuckle down this week and get back on it. Have planned my meals for the week, hoping I can stick to it before moving on to 5:2.

bluepixie · 09/11/2020 10:41

Welcome @wishingitwasfriday
Today plan
Greek yog and rasbrrries
Heck sausages with onion peppers and harrisa paste
Marinated chicken with salad
900 and 40g carbs. Weigh in tmrw!

BillBaileysPasoFace · 09/11/2020 16:53

This weeks dinners:

Veggie sausage and broccoli
Leek and mushroom omelette
Edemame stirfry

Veggie steak cauliflower cheese and celeriac chips

And possibly a takeaway from a local restaurant for our anniversary.

floofycroissant · 09/11/2020 22:51

Hi all, I'm considering the Fast 800. For a total beginner is the online course my best bet? I really like the idea of getting a shopping list with recipes abc the structure you get.

Is there much point starting the 12 weeks with Christmas on the way? I don't want to go mad, but I don't really fancy skipping a proper Christmas dinner.

BillBaileysPasoFace · 10/11/2020 06:35

You don’t have to commit to doing 12 weeks, try a block of 3 to start with and see how you get on.

Some people like the online version, because it does all the planning, has shopping lists etc. But it really isnt essential.

Portion size is key, make sure you have a good set of kitchen scales.

floofycroissant · 10/11/2020 07:33

Thanks @BillBaileysPasoFace, I hope this doesn't sound stupid but where do I swing up for the block of three weeks, is that not online?hope that's not a stupid Q, I'm still researching this all atm.

AlgonquinBay · 10/11/2020 08:02

Thanks @Cream123 - I'm about 15 weeks in now and have lost 11kgs in total -
only 1-2 kgs or so until I make my target but progress has slowed down a lot!!

I'm in a similar position to you @wishingitwasfriday which is why I've slowed down! Probably moving to 5:2 soon, I'm currently loosely doing 2:5 and having weekends off.

AlgonquinBay · 10/11/2020 08:06

Not sure about the online course @BillBaileysPasoFace but definitely worth starting now - you can always have Christmas Day off, I think most of us built in the odd treat/cheat day along the way and it's been fine.

Just get yourself a decent calorie counter app and stick to the 800 calories a day, limiting your carb intake. Losses in the first few weeks are normally huge (which keeps you motivated when you're starving hungry) Smile and then you just get used to eating less!

Skippii · 10/11/2020 12:15

Can I join please? I started BSD on Sunday, so far so good. I have loads to lose, don't want to set a target as it will be so big, so just concentrating on one day/week at a time.
