Stuck to my meal plan today at work.

12pm. ff greek yogurt and berries

4pm. spinach and salmon omelette

Plenty of water and feel full of energy today!

Sleep has been a little strange these past few nights, I keep waking up randomly through the night and woke up starving at 4am this morning for some reason. Not really hungry at all during the day so that was weird.
Still sticking to it though. Weighed myself this morning and had lost another 2lbs so thats 5lbs off in 4 days!
Wont do another weigh in until Tuesday morning when it's been a full week.
Cant wait to see how I've done Grin

I have just had cake for breakfast and now feel sick. I need to join you!

I had loads of success with 5:2 pre-kids and found it easy - now my youngest is 2 I feel like I can do this again (no breastfeeding, better sleep, better routine with work/school/childminder). Like you mummyofbananas my husband does shifts and I am in charge of majority of cooking which makes it really hard for me - I think I will find this harder than before children because then I could just avoid food totally for part of the day but now of course I can’t do that so need more willpower than before.

I am a rubbish poster, usually lurk but I look forward to reading all your successes and will try and post occasionally too.

Any recommendations for good dairy free Fast800 meal idea sources? I currently drink hemp milk and use Alpro/Flora dairy substitutes, I'm not sure if they're compatible.

I can't believe that I'm still sticking to this, I didn't expect to make it more than a couple of days. I really feel like if I can keep it up for at least another couple of weeks I will have a much better chance of changing my bingey food habits.

It's really helpful to read about all your meal ideas! I have managed to have some lovely dinners which have still felt like a treat, scallops and shallots and peppers (200 cal), rabbit casserole (400 cal), duck breast with asparus, roasted pepper and plum tomatoes (500 cal) and tomorrow is a pigeon 'roast' (chantenay carrots, cauliflower mash and purple sprouting broccoli - 366 cal). It's just the evening cravings for cake, nuts, or anything sweet that I wish would bog off!

Hello again, I have not been on since august as I have fallen off the wagon massively. Being back at work and in a high tier area has been depressing so my carbs and alcohol levels have been high.
I am eating shit all day long and I’m still starving so giving this a go again. 6 pounds on since august as well. Suspect I won’t be able to make 800 but last time I was quite happy on 1000.
Day 1 - no breakfast yet but might have eggs. Chicken for lunch and hallomi with cauliflower rice for dinner.
Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone!
I was starving last night but didnt give in. I think I didn't eat enough fat yesterday and I only managed 730 cals so it's no surprise.
I tested my ketones on a keto stick last night and it was good (maroon colour) so that spured me on.
I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I'm 7lbs down in 6 days!
Fitbit came, I've already done 2000 steps this morning and I'm about to go out on a walk, it'll be interesting to see how many steps it takes to do my usual walk. I'm aiming for at least 10000 a day.

Food today will be
Lunch at 12pm; ff greek yogurt with blueberries.

Dinner 4pm; really feel like some Chinese food so I'm making pork dumplings/pot stickers but using cabbage leaves instead of wonton pastry. Really looking forward to this.

Hope everyone has a good day today!

937 calories and 21g of carbs. I’m happy with that but need to have an early night now to resist snacking!!

Well today mark's 1 week since I started and I weighed in the same as yesterday so that's a loss of 7lbs over the week.
To anyone whos done this before, how much did the weight loss slow down as you moved further along?? I'm planning on sticking to this for 12 weeks as I have at least 2 stone to lose.

Not sure what I'm eating today but went shopping yesterday and have plenty in.
I'll have lots of greens with each meal today as yesterday that was lacking.
The Chinese dumplings were delicious though and very filling!

Can’t help on the shakes, I’m afraid, I prefer real food. ( that’s not a criticism, I know some people find them convenient)

This weeks menu plan:

Mon veg stir fry w cashews
Tues: : quinoa nut roast from the book ( leftovers for lunches)
We’d: veg mozzarella pasta, again book recipe. I’m a bit raised eyebrow at pasta, but I have a pea variety.
Thurs; veg sosig and squash mash, green veg
Fri: salmon and broccoli
Sat: might try nigellas roast veg w bulgar wheat. Bit Carby, but I’m more relaxed at weekends.
Sun: Thai prawns, cauli rice

I've put ON 2lb in 2 days! I have stuck so rigidly to no more than 800 calories and I've been burning off 250 calories a day with exercise too...I don't know what's happened? Especially as I was easily going through 3000 calories a day before I started this diet 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Sorry fell of thread. I’m back! Hello to newcomers.

Sw - 11.10
Week one - 11.4.5
Week two - 11.3
Lost my way for a bit!
Week 5 I think this is - 10.13.5

Bmi now healthy. Want to be at least 10.7 if not lower.

Plan today
almond porridge with raspberries
Greek salad
Spag Bol but no pasta

I’m doing 1000 and about 60 carbs. I find this manageable and less likely to binge! I also like 3 smaller meals rather than 2. I fast 5/530pm-830/9am. So 15-16 hours. Love to be at goal by Xmas!

@conduitoffortune have you been eating a lot of salt or is your period approaching?? I doubt it'll be a real gain if you've been sticking to the plan.
Keep at it and drink plenty of water. Try not to get too disheartened, I bet it'll flush off in a few days.

@conduitoffortune if ur exercising it’s prob coz ur making muscle which weighs more than fat. Take your measurements to see them drop. Also the day after exercise ur muscles can retain water so looks like u weigh more.
Keep going! It won’t be fat!!!

@Nonononon I lost 6 pounds in the first week and then 2 pounds then 1 a week but I only did the 800 cals for 2 weeks as I found it tough! I only had a stone to lose though so I was pleased with that.
Today I finish on 1017 calories which is higher than I’d hoped but I was hungry! 51g of carbs.

Today was eggs for breakfast, chicken and cauliflower rice for lunch, gammon and veg for dinner. I cheated with 120cals of dark chocolate mid afternoon.

I was disappointed in the nut roast. It looked good in the tin, but was tricky to turn out, and then very crumbly when sliced.

Been out for my walk and have almost 10000 steps already.
Lunch at 12pm; chicken thigh salad
Dinner 4pm; mackerel with asparagus omelette.

Hunger is starting to go completely now, I was ok during the day but was getting really hungry at night, had non of that last night though, I think the fat in the cheese helped so lesson learnt, need fat in meals! (Sort of difficult when you only have 800cals to play with but not impossible!)

Woo hoo. I reached my bmi of 25 today. Can't believe it. Going to try and drop a few more lbs that I can then eat back of Xmas but still hopefully stay in my healthy range. My dh can't get over the change in my body shape. He keeps telling me I'm like a different person. Hope everyone else is doing well and keeping motivated.

@Orangeblossom7777 I have the strawberry shake, I bought it as a backup for days I might be struggling for time to cook lunch. I didn't realise it contains Stevia, which I can't abide. It is also very textured, kind of gritty, not a smooth shake. On one of the Fast800 FB-pages I've seen it recommended to add couple of fresh strawberries and ice cubes, blizzard it, let it stand and then bliz it again. I'll try that next time I want to try the shake again but as it contains Stevia, I don't think I'll order them again.
