Starting today, weighed in at exactly 147 pounds, aiming to lose a stone but first target is 8 pounds to take me under 10 stones. Plan for today is black coffee, plenty of water, cottage cheese for lunch and a vegetable/bean and quorn sausage stew for tea 👍🏻

Unfortunately exercise will be very limited as I have to self isolate, usually I walk around 4-5 miles with the dog!

I am starting today too and weighed in at 146 with a target of being 9.12 so am also bang on with wanting to lose 8 lbs!

I’ve put on about 5/6 lbs since September, I lost quite a bit in the year until then but took foot off the pedal as just bored and fed up with counting calories. But I’ve had a break now and I’m ready to get to target by the end of the year!

I’ve had 2 cups of hot water and lemon this morning, fasted until 11.45 and I’ve had high protein yoghurt with 10g of choc protein added for lunch.

Dinner will probably be a tuna salad with a couple of boiled eggs and a low fat hot choc later this evening.

Ok so went shopping and started today.
Book still hasn't arrived but I've been reading up and watching youtube clips etc.. also watched the 'lose a stone in 21 days' on C4 catch up so have a good idea.

Today was;
Fasted until 12pm, had 100g of peppered mackerel, a bag of pea shoot salad and two (ConfusedGrin) black olives for lunch.

Dinner at 4pm, two pork chops (fat removed to keep cals down) cooked in soy sauce, garlic, Chinese seasoning and some sesame oil with half a large head of broccoli.

Two black coffees and lots of water.

I forgot to weigh myself this morning so I will do it tomorrow.. I'm dreading it but I have to do it, and plan on weighing every day to keep me on track.

Really looking forward to the book coming on thursday.

I have a massive cottage pie in the oven and have topped half with potatoes for dh and dd and the rest with turnip mash for me. I put 4% fat minced beef, onions, leek, carrots, parsnips, tomatoes, stock and a dash of Worcestershire sauce and the sprinkled some cheese over the turnip. Hope it tastes really nice as am starving.

Had a prawn, tomato and red onion romaine lettuce wrap for lunch and a small bit of cheese, cured meat and grapes as a snack.

Weighed in at 163 this morning, long way to get to 140!

Had a smoked salmon fritatta at 10, roast veg salad at 12 with a bag of okra chips, and it will be tuna and prawn fried cauli rice from the BSD book for dinner.

Bit headachey tonight, but a seedlip and light fevertree is hitting the spot.

Weighed myself this morning, its terrible but no worse than I thought. I'm ok with it as I know I'm doing something about it now.

Made my food for the day last night and logged it all on mfp. Marco's look good with 33g carbs in total for the day. Lots of veg, fats and protein in there.

I'm doing 20:4 fasting so will have lunch at 12 and dinner at 4.

Lunch is; HM coleslaw using FF greek yogurt and cold (left over) pork.

Dinner: tuna salad with olives and feta.

Been out on an hour walk this morning so feeling good and slept well last night.
Had a bit of a headache last night but took some paracetamol and it went away.

Good luck to everyone today!

Day 2 - very headachy today and bloody starving this morning.
2 cups of hot water and lemon first thing, managed to hold out until 11.45 and I had a snack of hard boiled egg. Lunch was tuna steak with stir fry veg, small snack of 1/2 a small Apple and 10g of cheese. Let me tell you - 10g is nothing Confused
Just had dinner - cod fish cake with a large mixed salad and a Pepsi Max.
I’ll have a low fat hot choc before my window closes about half 7.

I’m not observing the carbs to the letter but I am aiming to stay at 800 cals for 2 weeks with 16:8 IF.

I found a nice herbal tea today so that’ll help me up my water intake and take the hunger pangs away!

Hope everyone has had a successful day

Can I join? I have managed to put on a stone and a half in lockdown 😡 I re-downloaded MFP and was shocked by the amount of calories that my (genuinely healthy) meals were adding up to, and that's without the evening carb binges. I don't even want to think about how many calories I have been mindlessly putting away with all the sharing bags of sweets and crisps, and toast and bowls of cereal I have been scoffing whilst watching the TV after work.

MFP gave me 1200 calories a day but I decided a week ago that I could see if I could stick to 800 and I've just about managed it so far. I know that if I give myself one cheat day though, there is a high chance that I will lose the plot and go on a week long eating spree.

I've lost 7lb so far, which is probably a reflection of just how much I was eating until 2 weeks ago 🙄 and I think I have about 14lb left to go. I've been 'jogging' for 30 minutes a day too but that's only burning about 200 calories.

I've been weighing myself every day. I don't know if it's helpful or not because it's disheartening when weight goes up! Hoping for any sort of loss when I wake up tomorrow!

Welcome @conduitoffortune , @2020iscancelled and @Nonononon . The first few days are the hardest but the headaches and hungry feeling will pass. I've been doing it about 10 weeks now and have lost over 1.5 stone with 3 lb to go to healthy bmi. I had to have a word with dh today about leaving sweet stuff all over the place. There was a container of chocolate covered raisins on the table ( along with snowball, chocolate cookies, floury baps and crisps) and every time I went into the kitchen today I ate a handful of the raisins. I so want to get to a few lbs under my healthy weight so I can eat up to for Christmas.

Yeah, I’m telling myself the headaches mean it’s working!

Food yesterday - smoked salmon fritatta ( I keep a batch of these on the freezer) at 9-30 ( I had zoom call at 10 so wanted to eat before that), leftover tuna cauli rice with a miso soup for lunch, dinner was 2 Linda McCartney sausages and cheesey leeks.

Today’s plan- Greek yog with berries, chop salad with a leftover sosig, dinner mushroom chestnut casserole, one of my favourites from the F800 recipe book ( again, from the freezer).

Resisting the wine is my biggest struggle, but if I can get through the twitching hour from when I get home to after dinner it gets a bit easier.

I was really tired yesterday.. little bit hungry on the night time but it passed after a couple of hours and had a headache on and off.. I'm like you @billBaileysPasoFace in that I just tell myself if I'm feeling grim (in the first week or so anyway..). That it just means it's working! Grin
Although I had a great sleep and woke up just before my alarm went off.

Today's plan:
Lunch at 12: 100g frozen berries with 200g of FF greek yogurt.

Dinner at 4pm: two egg parmasan and spinach omelette with 100g of smoked mackerel.

Lots of water and one or two black coffees.
Hours walk too.

I hope everyone has a great day!

No weight lost again today! I've been sticking to 800 but I haven't been limiting to the fasting hours, does this make a big difference? I don't know how I'll cope with the added deprivation of no morning coffee with milk, or the crappy fibre one bar that I look forward to all day and save until as late as possible in the evening!

Day 3 and still starving but I would say less so than yday so that’s a good sign. I’ve managed to go longer in my fast today as well.

Today’s food is a high protein waffle for lunch with half a high protein yoghurt and maybe a small amount of blueberries.

Dinner will be salmon fillet with courgette, I’m going to try and make some sort of courgette chips - let’s see how that goes! I used to do it loads with parsnips and carrots so giving this a go as less carby.
Depending on cals I’ll also probably have a small amount of apple with cheese as a snack.

I weighed myself this morning and it said 4lbs loss - surely that’s not right? In just two days? Obvs I know it’ll mostly be water at this point.... but it’s reassuring I’m feeling less bloated.

Will do a real weigh in after a full 5 days on plan.

Good luck for today everyone!

Had a shocker of a day at work yesterday, meaning I didn’t get eating my lunch till 4! Dh was making a spicy noodle dish so I had a small bowl of that for dinner about 7...and a glass or 2 of wine. I need to work on my using a bad day at the office as an excuse to drink. But hey, these things happen.

Ginger pear porridge today, ainsleys Szechuan soup for lunch, and Vietnamese prawn rolls for dinner.

No way... I've lost 3lbs in two days! Grin
I decided not to weigh myself every day because I'm one of these people who, if I see a gain, will get disheartened. But I decided to have a look this morning and yep 3lbs down! Amazing. Yeah yeah I'm sure its water or whatever but still, feels good for it to go!

Today's plan.
Lunch at 12: cauliflower and feta soup, found online from BSD recipes.

Dinner at 4pm: 4 egg, spinach and tomato omelette with some parmesan cheese.

Water, black coffee and at least an hours walk.

Book is coming today so cant wait to read that and I ordered a fitbit which will come tomorrow so I can make sure I'm getting at least 10000 steps in each day. Once I've got all that under my belt and have more energy (still feeling quite tired) I'm going to start with some HIIT x3 a week.

Hi everyone sounds like you're doing well! Today was another good weigh in for me - another half a kilo gone, nearly at target now.

For those getting headaches, I used to take a High Five Zero hydration tablet which helped.

That's a great loss @2020iscancelled well done. Weight does seem to whoosh off quickly in the first few weeks which helps with the motivation.

Keep at it and you will definitely lose @conduitoffortune - i didn't like the black coffee either but I think 3 or 4 coffees a day with skimmed milk only adds about 50 cals to your allowance and made it much easier for me to get through the day!!

Day 4 here, haven’t woken up hungry. I could eat definitely but it’s a reassuring sign that my body is getting used to the fasting process.

Stuck to my eating window and cals yday and head aches have calmed a bit.

Dinner last night was lush, salmon fillet with tender steam broccoli and roasted courgettes with Parmesan crust. So easy and not many additional calories, worth it for the extra taste.

Today will be portobello pizza mushrooms for lunch followed by 1/2 a high protein yoghurt with a small scoop of protein powder (for about 100 cals in total) then I’m thinking prawn hot and sour ramen bowl for dinner - without the noodles or with a very small of noodles if I’ve got the calories.

I’ve set myself the initial goal of sticking to this for 7 days and to hit 10k steps for 7 days.

Saturday night is our treat night so I’m actually considering a very light lunch of tuna salad then having a thin crust pizza - I’m sure there are ones for like 700 cals for the whole thing?

I figured if I go over 200/300 cals on one night that’s not a big deal when spread across the week.

Good luck for a strong Thursday everyone!

@AlgonquinBay great loss! Must be exciting to almost be at target!

How much have you lost can I ask and has it been consistent?

AlgonquinBay · 19/11/2020 21:51

Thanks @2020iscancelled - started at the beginning of August and I have lost 13kgs altogether now. Losses went like this:

August - 8kgs
September - 3 kgs
October - 1.5kgs (but went on holiday for a week)
November - 1.5kgs so far

So steady losses but they have definitely slowed down. In October I went up to 1000 cals per day and had a full week off for holiday. Am now just doing 16:8 and 5:2 (800cals) 2 days per week.

I also got into a good exercise habit and now work out most days (usually a 30 minute hit-type workout on YouTube).

@AlgonquinBay

Well done that’s excellent! It does slow down a bit as you get closer to target, I don’t mind that so much as long as I get the quicker loses at the start, which you def do on this (because it’s brutal Grin)

I am also thinking just 2 days a week in the future to maintain. And hopefully get back to working out and running in December.

Feel great today. Tiredness has gone.

Food today.

Lunch 12pm: bacon with lots of spinach and romaine lettuce and 20g of cheese.

Dinner will be at 4pm: two red bell peppers stuffed with beef bolognese sauce, roasted in the oven.

Went on an hour walk but fitbit didnt arrive today like I'd hoped.

I'm at work all weekend so I'm going to prepare my meals to take in with me so I'm not tempted to snack/go off track.

Has everyone had a good day today??

Actually only had one stuffed pepper as I couldnt be sure of the cals and felt quite full after one.
Had a cheese string instead of the second one 😆

Hoping I can join! I've got about 3 stone to lose (2 stone I've not lost since my third child and a stone from lockdown). There's also a lot of diabetes in my family and my sweet tooth is ridiculous so I'm thinking this is the way to lose the weight.

I'm going to do a shop tomorrow and start Monday. My OH is working nightshift for the next few weeks so I think it will be a good time to start when I'm only cooking for myself (I'll just add carbs for the kids).
