The pasta was great heated up for lunch!

Tonight I turned the nit roast into a sloppy joe with mushrooms, served with butternut squash mash and broccoli.

Last night I had a really rather good veggie burger with greens and swede chips.

Today I’m trying that thing nigella did with bulgur wheat and roast veg. Bit high in carbs, but I relax a bit over the weekend.

Lunch tuna salad
Dinner Thai cod with slim noodles
In at 850 and will do my steps (didn’t do any yest as pouring all day!)

I’m hoping I’ll be 10.11 tmrw would love that and would be stone off since I started
Would love to be at bmi 23 by Xmas then maintain / put on the odd pound but prob won’t make that!

Made it through the weekend and stuck to the plan.
Weighed myself this morning and I'm down another 3lbs this week so thats 10lbs in two weeks, really pleased with that as I thought I wouldn't lose as much this week but it's still coming off nicely.
I'm still in ketosis, doing my 10000 steps and feeling really good now. I feel so clear headed and rarely hungry. Really feel like I can stick with this for 10 more weeks it's so easy. Cant wait to get this weight off and hopefully I'll be feeling more like my old self as we go into the new year and I can wave this year goodbye!

Meals today.
Lunch at 12pm; ham hock with mushrooms and tomatoes.
Dinner at 4pm; roast pork with kale and sugar snap peas.

I just finished )my first week and I am down 6 pounds (12st to 11st8). I'm happy with that because I've been really busy with work/kids so that's with very little excercise. x

Hi there

I’m new to fast 800, started today. Half way through book and already having a big impact on my mindset. I have c. 4 stone to lose.

Please can someone check I’m doing this right?

Fast until 11am. Raw carrot snack

Breakfast at 11:30 - 20g porridge oats, 1 mashed banana, 100ml oat milk, 1 tsp peanut butter. Handful of flaxseed

Lunch at 12: skinless salmon fillet. Green salad.

Mid afternoon snack- 1 Sharon fruit.

Beer stir fry with mixed veg for dinner. No rice. Milky coffee for desert.

Herbal tea, water, tea with oat milk throughout day.

I don’t have working kitchen scales so need to address that.

Is there a simple app I can keep track on?

I have an unboxed Fitbit. Don’t do any exercise and have stressy FT job with 2 very young children.

I use my fitness pal for counting calories, I'm on my second week and finding it not too bad so far. I have small children as well it's so difficult to fit in excercise :(

Hi all!

I've been trying to do Fast800 on my own the last few weeks and failing badly. I've gained 10lbs in the last 5 months but in the last 2 weeks the bloat is just awful and my clothes aren't fitting. Really need to get back on track. I've lost 40lbs but I just need to lose this last 20lbs I've been losing and regaining all year!

Think I just need somewhere to be accountable and work alongside!

Hello! Yes I find the same. It is nice to keep up with other people with similar goals!

I’m 2 weeks in now and today am 11.3, according to digital scales only a few 0.? Away from where I was last week. So the same. Bugger.

This first two weeks I haven’t tracked or measured anything which I will do from today. I don’t have an image in my head of what 800calories is like, whereas 500 I can do automatically from past 5.2ing - I need to measure some go-to day plans out so I can just do the same on repeat. I know from 5.2 not having to think about it was the main thing that made it work for me!

It is annoying not to have moved at all though because I know I haven’t eaten huge amounts this week and I always leave room to get the estimates wrong - I did test the Xmas cake I made! Grin I have split the calories up over the day however and want to move to not having breakfast - this week I’ve been moving it later and later. I also have not been watching low carb particularly.

So basically this week I’ve been slack and so it didn’t work Grin who knew?! I haven’t actually read the book for this. Is there any major instruction I have t followed (except eating Xmas cake!)

How are you splitting the calories up across the day, and does the book say anything about this? I was so hungry today! I have been having very small breakfast and lunch so far and then something more meal like at dinner but this way I’m spending more of the day noticeably hungry. Pre kids when I was 5.2ing I could easily go the whole day till dinner without eating anything at all, but I suppose that was after I had been doing it long enough to get used to it. I also did more like every other day because I didn’t want to lose the rhythm of it/habit I’d got into.

PhoenixMama · 06/12/2020 21:10

I split the calories up over the day to a degree - I usually have 2 eggs around 10am and then soup at 1 or 2 (or a little lunch) and then a light dinner. When that's all I'm eating I'm good but recently I've been eating so many carbs and then craving carbs and I'm stuck in a vicious cycle.

My intention for the next few weeks is to be really strict 5 days a week and then have 1 weekend day when I'm not (just too many foodie activities coming up to be saintly) Hoping that keeps me on track!

Hello everyone just checking in.
Still sticking to the plan, 800cals a day, IF, no carbs (still in ketosis) walking hasn't been as much this week due to the rain.
Today mark's the end of week 3 and I've lost 13.5lbs!! So close to getting the stone! But I'm quite happy with it. I can see a difference, my skin was terrible last week but I think it might have just been purging as it's all cleaned up now, I hope it stays that way.
Only 1.5 stone to go and 9 weeks left, if I continue to lose 2-3lbs a week then I'll get there (will have Christmas day off BUT only the one day and I'm still going to stick with my intermittent fasting time frame)
Hows everyone else doing?? What's everyone's plans for Christmas? (Food and drink wise Grin)

Wow that’s great! I have had too much carbs this week so I don’t think I will be seeing the same kind of results this time round but there is still a bit of time! I am veggie so low carb is harder but I’ve done it before... I will take inspiration from you!

I think I must be getting this wrong. I saw there was a documentary about this on channel 4 that I will watch as I don’t have the book. In the first week I did low carb as much as possible but I haven’t this week and I think I’m going to find scales haven’t moved again. However I am sure I’m not getting the calories totally wrong - might not be exact but I really specifically know what 500 calories is so I don’t think my estimates can be too crazy - and I lost so much in the first week so can’t be totally wrong?! I am going to have to go back on MFP to check myself but I just hate having to write everything down. I do remember with 5.2 actually I didn’t have to do MFP forever, so hopefully it will be the same here. I find I end up obsessing and am trying to avoid that.

Hi everyone. I'm just bored and thought I'd check in and see how everyone Is doing??

I'm still on my paleo/whole30 plan, so eating more carbs these days but zero junk. I am amazed but actually I am still gradually losing, I am now under 10 stone for the first time ever in my adult life I think. 9.13 on Saturday. To do that without even counting a single calorie or gram of carbs is a bit mind blowing.

Good to see a few regulars still here!

@thenewaveragebear1983 Oh we miss you! The thread's not the same without you! Amazing job on getting below 10 stone - I know how much you wanted that. Is the paleo working better with your running?

I posted last week that I was back on it 100% and then only hours later dd was admitted to hospital and the whole week went sideways. I basically survived on sandwiches and lattes! Not sure what I'll achieve in the next few weeks... I'm under a lot of work stress and various life disappointment and struggles so as much as I want to get back to it my body's desire for carbs & sugar as comfort are really hard to get over. We'll see...

@PhoenixMama thanks. Sorry to hear about your dd. Hope she is ok.,

The paleo is working well with the running, I feel like they compliment each other well and I'm off that rollercoaster of dieting to compensate for the fuel I needed for running (if that makes sense?) it's very similar to BSD really except for the no dairy, although I do eat occasional carbs like a banana or potato (still no rice or flour) and I was feeling amazing until I caught coronavirus in November, that really knocked me for 6. My big fear after doing BSD for so long was how would I ever eat normally again, but although paleo is quite drastic/restrictive, there is something incredibly liberating about just eating 'these' foods and not 'those' foods and just eating. I do actually feel free of dieting which is incredible, and also to be Losing Weight as well is just fab. I have naturally drifted back into a 16:8 style as well, just having 2 meals most days and not really snacking which is very bsd style too. Christmas will be interesting with no sugar or cheese though!

Hi everyone! Just checking in.
I went a little bit off track for two days last week, but got straight back on it. When I weighed myself on tueday I was the same weight as I was the week before (so no loss) BUT I weighed in this morning and I've dropped 3lbs Grin so that's a loss of 1st 2.5lbs in just a little over 4 weeks. And I had two days off plan (wine, pizza and mac and cheese was involved..)
After my two days off plan the first couple of days were quite hard to get back into the swing of things, I wasnt necessarily craving carbs I just wanted to eat lots, but I was firm with myself and just said no, I need to do this. As of yesterday I'm back in ketosis, still sticking with 20/4 fasting and the 800cals a day.

This has given me hope that when Christmas comes, I can take the day "off" and although it might be a little tough to get back on track for a couple of days, as long as I do it straight away and dig deep, I'll be able to continue without any real damage or set backs.

So, 1st 2.5lbs off in 4 weeks.
8 weeks to go!

I'm really enjoying the plan, I love all the food, don't feel hungry so I'm not constantly having to think about food and use will power to get past cravings.. I'm just not craving anything anymore.
I wish I tried this sooner.
