Oh I completely agree about accuracy. I did do some research and weirdly it did seem as though it was considered very accurate but I too am sceptical. The thing that’s really pleased me though is the fat has come down while the muscle has stayed constant, as has my weight. That’s very motivating and I’m convinced it’s the regular fasting.

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 08:21

I took a photo of last nights dinner (that I had this morning 🤭). That was bloody delicious. Home made Keto coleslaw, asparagus, a portobello mushroom and pan fried smoked haddock fried in a coconut and Parmesan crust. It was bloody lovely.

I have some smart scales too. You stand on them and they immediately Bluetooth 10 different ways in which you are a fat bastard straight to your phone. They insult me ways I was previously unaware existed.

I haven't eaten a mountain of shit this weekend yet. Does someone drop the medal round or does it come in the post?

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 16/08/2020 08:27

@justanotherneighinparadise that looks lovely. I'm trying to include more fish as I always default to chicken really. I bought some salmon yesterday that I'm going to do in a jerk style marinade I think.

Kimlek · 16/08/2020 08:35

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa simple pan fried seabass in a bit of butter is very quick and easy. I do it a lot as my kids love the crispy skin!

That’s made me roar 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Patchworksack · 16/08/2020 08:36

oyster that made me laugh! DH buying smart scales really pissed me off. I was perfectly happy not knowing my body fat Blush

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 08:38

What is everyone’s body fat out of interest? I wonder if us ladies are all saying the same percentage.

I think my DP was around 22/23% and I’m now 32.8% 🤭

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 16/08/2020 08:40

Thanks @Kimlek 😊

Patchworksack · 16/08/2020 08:40

justanotherneigh do you have a recipe for the fish? It's not something I am very confident cooking, beyond salmon in a parcel which is my go-to recipe.

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 08:41

My muscle mass is more then his though which made me laugh. He hates exercise and i tell him he has the body composition of a mollusca 🐌

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 08:45

From memory it was a cup of almond flour (i substituted for coconut) and ounce of grated Parmesan, 1 teaspoon of dried parsley, salt and pepper. Then a beaten egg to dip the fish in first.

I need to try it with smaller bits of fish as it didn’t crisp like I wanted it to, so I need to keep practicing I think and see what the foolproof recipe it. It was nice and quick though!

Patchworksack · 16/08/2020 08:48

Thanks. My body fat says 33%. Not sure what DP is?

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 08:53

I wonder whether 33% is the stock female fat measurement on these scales. I’ll go and google.

Patchworksack · 16/08/2020 09:05

I've just done an online body fat calculator based on height, weight, and measurements of waist, hips, wrist and forearm and it came out at 26%, upper end of acceptable for women. Bit of a difference!

fufulina · 16/08/2020 09:07

👋 checking back in - end of week 15. Total of 18.8kg off, including 0.6kg off in 9 days on holiday in France! It’s a sodding miracle.

I kept to the principles am aiming for for maintenance (when I get there in about 7kg) - TRE (12-6 window)

  • low carb (bar gin, some wine and two ice creams)
  • lots of water
  • a shed load of steak, avocados and eggs

Definitely went over 800 cals every day, but was mindful and didn’t get into the feeding frenzy.

It is, frankly, a miracle that I lost weight on holiday in France. It gives me faith!

I now am under 25 BMI so want to up from 800 a day, and need to start some weight training. Hmm. Maybe will try 3:4 for a week, then 4:3, then 5:2.... it’s a conundrum!

Lovely to see such a busy, supportive thread. This thread has been fundamental to my fast800. Onwards and downwards!

Patchworksack · 16/08/2020 09:14

Wow fulfina that's amazing! Well done!

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 09:18

fufulina great stuff. Well done!!

I can’t decide what I think about the scales and how accurate they are. I’m going to just keep an eye on it as see if it starts creeping down. It seems like an average body fat tor age group is 23-33%. I would agree that I’m high end of normal so that sounds about right.

Oysterbabe · 16/08/2020 09:18

Here's all the data mine spat out at me on Friday. It'll be good to compare after 8 weeks. I plan on measuring my waist and doing photos again then too. I have scrawny arms and legs and a big fat tummy. It's like someone stuck cocktail sticks in a potato.

Your scales are obviously more snazzy that ours! We have the Fitbit ones, it only tells you BMI and %fat.

DuckPancake · 16/08/2020 09:47

Morning folks 👋🏻

I have those smart scales, I used it once and was so offended/sceptical that I haven't used it since!!! It reads a different weight each time I stand on it in quick succession?!

I gorged on a Domino's last night (half a large pizza, wedges and all 4 cookies) in anticipation of the start of my F800 today. Plus I was fuming at having to clean up slime off the floor and walls. Was probably good exercise...

Starting with 14:10 today so I'm due a meal at 11am today. I bought the F800 recipe book in Waterstones yesterday. Pleasantly surprised at how easy and delicious everything looks! Picked up some avocado, full fat milk, feta cheese, philly and olive oil. Have most of the other things condiments.

On my 3rd cup of black tea this morning. Only just starting to get a couple of hunger pangs.

Is anyone else incorporating the 3x weekly HIIT training? I have an exercise bike so I think I'll give it a shot. The fact it doesn't take much time is very appealing.

Did anyone watch the episode on fasting on the new (un)well docuseries on Netflix??? I think a 28 day water fast is taking it too far perhaps 😂 but everything else resonates the F800 so I'm raring to go 💪🏻

Here's to a new week 🙌🏻

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/08/2020 09:47

I’ve got the Renpho one and they weren’t particularly expensive. £30 I think from memory. DP can download the app to and also use them, as I assume could anyone else in the household.

Cantteach · 16/08/2020 10:01

5 days in and I've lost 5lb in total. Dh had lost 8! I've not been hungry and I've enjoyed everything I've eaten. Really fancied a glass of wine last night but I resisted, partly because I knew if we didn't finish the bottle last night, we'd finish it tonight which I didn't want to do. If I could have had just 1 glass I might have cracked!

I'm to terrified to check my fat % as I know it will be high. May be it's something I'll do in the future.

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. Just the good news I need to read when I’m arguing with other people on here about why they can’t possibly order meat and vegetables in a restaurant 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank god for you lot xx
