Thanks lucky
I'm at goal in terms of the size I want to be. I don't weigh myself as no scales but still have an ideal weight in mind although that makes no sense at all!! I think I'm probably 4 or 5 pounds off it so not too bad.

Home all day with ill DD (nothing serious), have had time to do some stats, yesterday was 760 kc, eggs, chicken, mange tout, coffee and schloer, today is 700 kc, pilchards, tomatoes, feta, spinach, coffee and schloer. No exercise. I have a rare party on 12th December, considering wearing a proper figure hugging party dress, it has 3/4 length sleeves and below the knee but it is a lot sexier than my usual blend in don't look at me shift. Would need to lose a roll from waist and tummy to have the confidence to wear it.

@onanothertrain Happy Birthday. It's great to see people having achieved the goal weight / size and continue to maintain that and stick to BSD principles. That's much harder than it seems I think!

Hi, feel like I haven’t checked in for a while. Much calmer appetite this week, although there is chocolate in the house which occasionally calls to me! Weighed in at my ‘usual’ weight of 10.3 ish and I’m happy with that given the last few weeks.

I'm so annoyed with myself, Salces have jumped up 3lbs 😢

Lucky they'll probably dip again tomorrow if you have a good day today. Fluctuations are normal.
I've lost 8lbs 4 in two weeks. I'm happy with that. My clothes already feel better.

Could be water retention Lucky, do you drink enough? Oddly, the more water I drink the less I retain!

Try to forget about it Lucky. Food diary strictly for a couple of days and just keep going. I find one week every month is unsuccessful (run up to and early period), could be that? It is worth it and you will get there. 3 lbs is nothing, don't let it dishearten you. Maybe look at your goals, remind yourself why you are doing this. As Bear says it could all be water weight and gone very quickly.

Well done APlace, I am 5ft 5 1/2" and find 8 lb loss does make a difference in clothes. It took a lot for me to go down a dress size (the joy) but I think most of my fat was the dangerous tummy fat.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I will keep plodding along. It’s all my fault for giving in to food yesterday. I waited too long to have lunch and ended up having a bread roll with my soup which kicked off carb cravings.

Better day today sausage and scrambled egg, coffee for breakfast, soup for lunch and a couple of squares of dark chocolate. Leaves me with 149 for dinner, will probably have halloumi and veg.

Hey lucky I find letting myself get hungry to be one of my main weaknesses, because then my good choices go out the window. I have to constantly have the next thing to eat planned and at hand to stave off panic! I've found having a hard boiled egg available or a bit of houmous and veg really useful. I cracked a lot last week and it was having some bread with soup that set me off too!
Weighed in at 11st. 13lbs this morning, very chuffed with myself. This is the first time I've been under 12 st since just after I had my son 4 years ago! I'm 5ft 6, so I still have a way to go, but it's really cheered me up. Been doing this 23 days now and I've lost 8lbs, so not as amazing as it could be (too many little slip ups) but I'm still pleased at the progress! Smile

Thanks Guru, I would be sylph-like if I ate like this all the time! Staying off the wine makes a big difference in what I eat.

@Westwing1 Maybe you can answer a doubt I've had for a while. When I meal plan I'm reluctant to include any meal that goes over 400cals as I feel there isn't enough left for the other two meals and coffees. How do you manage to stay under 800 calls a day with one meal at 500?

Wine is my nemesis!

Another reasonable day for me although I keep forgetting to calorie track! Had bacon, egg, avocado and cheese for lunch, and chicken drumsticks, veg and cheese for dinner. Snacks have been mostly a slice of cheese, a piece of ham, half a mini pork pie, and an apple. I bet that’s about 1400-1500 cals? That’s ok for me in maintenance, I seem to be able to judge it fairly well and overall my weight is pretty stable.

I did 25k Steps today, including a 7km run and an hour at a trampoline fun play place with Ds- it was so much fun!!

I have two meals a day. I started on 1st Jan (original!) and realised quite quickly that I far prefer one good big piled plate to satisfy my eyes as well as appetite. I very happily have one coffee in the morning, busy with school run and then dogs. Then a scrambled egg at midday, maybe some mushrooms and peppers in with it, main meal with DH in the evening. A couple of days a week I don't eat anything until the evening meal. I don't get faint or starve, one small meal and one proper dinner just suits me. When I am off wine I drink Schloer light from a wine glass which is 19 kc for 100 ml so having two large glasses is v low in kc. I should of course drink water or herbal tea but I rarely do. Snacks are are tomatoes and rocket leaves and tiny amounts of feta , or almonds (no more than 8). This way of eating is partly driven by my DH who loves to sit down in the evening and have a proper meal with me.

Thanks all. Closing the kitchen at 1000 cals exactly. Had chicken and stir fried cabbage and leeks.

Going back to no breakfast from tomorrow as it works better for me!

@Westwing1 I agree with 2 meals a day being the best tactic.

Had my first blip yesterday. Had a terrible day with some traumatic news. Ended up eating a lot at dinner time and followed up with ice cream. And the scales have punished me severely this morning for this!
The key is to get back into routine again today and not let the blip become full relapse!
On to new thread and renewed determination.
