Another thread to keep going!

3 mile WWL done. Half term means a bit more time to exercise. Can't count on more motivation though 😏

BezMills · 28/07/2024 16:32

Motivation comes and goes, for me at least. I've been really enjoying the new BodyCombat release. It's always easier if the exercise is fun, or at least not horrendous!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/07/2024 07:09

I’m feeling reasonably motivated at the moment as my dodgy hip gets noticeably worse if I don’t exercise. But I do wish I enjoyed exercise. At least I got up and got it done this morning, and after tomorrow (or at worst Wednesday) work should ease off, so I won’t have too much trouble fitting it in.

T25 speed 2.0 done. Challenging for the co-ordination but not as bad as yesterday’s cardio.

OublietteBravo · 29/07/2024 11:22

Today’s run was 30min 05sec. I’m quite pleased with that. Faster than last week despite being hot (I went an hour earlier to compensate) and running the loop in the harder direction today.

Long few days for work, but back to real life today. I'm updating now to make myself go for a run this afternoon.

OP posts:
BezMills · 29/07/2024 16:27

I have ludicrous hamstring DOMS from circuits on Friday. Bladdy kettlebell swings, really gets you. I should at this time be chilling and getting ready to teach my Boxercise class, but work has been ludicrous and I'll have to just run out of here in 30 mins, no shower, smash a can of coke and teach straight away lol.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/07/2024 07:23

T25 Beta circuits done. Gah. Two more to go this week.

72

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/07/2024 07:48

Can’t count; 73!

roonetta · 30/07/2024 15:48

2 mile WWL done ✅

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 31/07/2024 07:53

T25 dynamic core done. There were a couple of moves I couldn’t do at all and felt tired just looking at. Pilates class booked at lunchtime since I’m working at home.

roonetta · 31/07/2024 16:28

Nat Hayward strength workout done ✅ 🥵

spikeandbuffy · 31/07/2024 19:57

40 mins netball, I must be mad
Won 4-1, I scored 3 of them

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 01/08/2024 07:31

Wow, well done, spikeandbuffy! Very impressive especially in this heat.

T25 upper focus done. I had to have words with the cat who wanted to be on the mat between my hands when I was doing push-ups. Shaun T doesn’t have to put up with this. That’s the end of week 1 of Beta; I should get another full week in next week and after that it gets a bit scrappier because of holidays and work travel.

Does anyone else have days when they just feel weak? I have pathetic upper body strength anyway but today was particularly feeble.

75 - half way to target for the year.

I forgot to post the last few days, 2 x s&c and a long walk yesterday (my watch died so not sure how long).

And yes Professor have lots of days feeling oddly weak compared to others. I've been trying to track it to see if I can work out what the variable is, but there are too many.

OP posts:
ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/08/2024 08:46

No T25 today, but a Pilates class and a skating lesson later on, so I’m counting it as an exercise day.

76

roonetta · 03/08/2024 10:13

Haha at the cat Professor. One of mine (now sadly departed) used to swipe my head while I was doing push ups, so I feel your pain 😁

3 mile WWL done ✅

S&c this morning. We're heading on holidays tomorrow so I'm not sure what exercise I'll get done while I'm away. I'll try to get in a run before we head off in the morning.

OP posts:
ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 04/08/2024 08:55

T25 dynamic core done. Marginally less feeble than last week, but that’s not saying much. The cat behaved herself this time - I exercise later on Sundays than on weekdays so can distract her with breakfast.

Have a good holiday, MotherForkin!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 05/08/2024 07:18

T25 core cardio done. I really wasn’t on form this morning, but at least it’s done.

78

BezMills · 05/08/2024 10:51

Last week took Thursday's BodyCombat off due to home things. So just did my Boxercise on Monday then Combat on Sunday. 109

Great consistency @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson and @roonetta and everybody else. Summer is so difficult to keep consistent, I find, due to all the different disruptions to routines.

OublietteBravo · 05/08/2024 12:26

I went back to running the loop in the easier direction: 28min 55sec.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 06/08/2024 07:28

Good going, Oubliette!

BezMills, I actually find summer easier - I only have myself to get out of the house in the morning, so I don’t have to get up quite so early to get exercise in. We’re not going away for another 10 days so I should be able to fit in one more week of T25. Admittedly then I plan to go away and eat everything in sight, but I’ll worry about that when I get home.

T25 ripped circuit done (stupid name, effective exercise). Two more to go this week.

79

roonetta · 06/08/2024 09:53

Thanks Bez! I echo what Professor said about the summer being easier to find some extra time for me. Making the most of it before it's over 😉

Have a fantastic holiday Motherforkin!!

Well done Oubliette, great time!🥇

3 mile boosted WWL done. I was a pool of sweat by the end, but that always makes me feel like I've worked a little harder

59

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 07/08/2024 07:33

T25 upper focus done. Probably this is the easiest of the Beta cycle. One more to go this week.

roonetta · 07/08/2024 11:49

3 mile WWL done ✅
