I'm finding it hard to do anything other than classes this week, my enthusiasm is waning significantly. S&c this morning.

Well done Motherforkin and Oubliette! I hear you on the waning motivation Motherforkin. Mine has disappeared this last week and I've no idea why. I forced myself to do a Caroline Girvan chest, back and shoulder workout today. I really struggled with the renegade rows, haven't done them in a long time. We'll see how the rest of the week pans out.

Hope everyone is okay 💖

I’ve been exceptionally lazy over the bank holiday weekend. Back out running today: 5k, easy direction, 29 minutes dead.

Slow run--more of a plod really.

S&c at lunchtime. The (new) instructor managed to totally screw up the rest breaks meaning we were finished the class with 15 mins to spare so he decided we would do the conditioning stack twice, which close to killed me.

Went to netball. Appear to have torn my calf Angry

I did a sort of stretch up, calf went pop and immediate severe cramp and I can't walk on it

OublietteBravo · 29/08/2024 14:53

Oh no @spikeandbuffy! That sounds painful. Sending healing vibes your way.

I had meetings over lunchtime, so I went for an afternoon run: 5k, hard direction, 29min 26sec.

Ouch, I hope you're not in too much pain Buffy.

I managed two sea dips today. Weather was absolutely gorgeous so I snuck out between meetings this morning and then dd wanted to go after school so I got a second in with her. Plus 16k steps from multiple dog walks.

S&c and a sea dip with Dd on another amazing day here.

Haven't seen you in a while, hope all is well.

I'm on crutches for a bit and they've referred me to a trauma injury physio or something technical like that

Thanks Motherforkin, we currently have the lurgey in our house so no exercise going on. DH seems to have it worst with flu like symptoms (or man flu 😏) mine is just a sore throat and annoying cough. I am praying the kids won't get it just as they go back to school/college on Wednesday.

I thought Professor was on holiday but had noticed Bez hasn't been on here for a while. Hope all is okay 💖

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/09/2024 08:20

Hello all, yes,I’ve been on holiday- I’ve done some swimming in the hotel pool last week, and a few minutes of yoga most days, but not enough to warrant recording here! Coming home today, back on it tomorrow, I hope. DD is back to school on Wednesday so the usual grind starts again.

Buffy, very sorry you’re injured. I hope it heals fast. And I hope you feel better soon, roonetta.

OublietteBravo · 02/09/2024 20:26

My run today was great! 28 min 26 secs (5k in the harder direction).

Dh came home with a conference on Sunday with man flu, Roonetta, I have great sympathy for you 😉. Glad you enjoyed your holiday Professor. Well done Oubliette, that's a very fast time. Hope you're not too incapacitated Buffy.

S&c this evening. Somehow it was both all legs and shoulders.

Back on it with T25 core speed, which may have been a bit ambitious- one armed burpees and other horrors. And I can’t do the quick transitions between moves. I’ll do a couple of other random DVDs this week and get onto week4 of T25 Beta on Sunday for the first full week of term. Try to start in a routine even if I don’t end in one!

That sounds truly hideous Professor.

Swim today. I was planning to go for a short run while ds was at football but it was cancelled so I made an ikea bed instead. Full body workout came as a free gift.

OP posts:
BezMills · 04/09/2024 13:05

thanks @MotherForkinShirtBalls

I've been a bit up and down lately, a lot happening on the non-exercise front (and then consequently less happening on the exercise side, which hasn't improved my outlook tbf).

I did BodyCombat at the weekend and I'm looking forward to a long weekend away (sadly for a funeral, but I'll make the most of it, including, I hope, some BodyCombat tourism)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 04/09/2024 22:03

That sounds tough Bez, I hope you're OK.

S&c today.

I can't remember when I last did my hill walk so dog and I went up there this morning. It wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting.

OP posts:
BezMills · 05/09/2024 12:19

I did Sprint this morning (short intense Spin class). It was HORRIBLE. But yeah, did it anyway. BodyCombat tonight, and I've been looking into my options for BC Tourism when I'm away in a week's time. Might be able to make a sesh on Thursday night if I get a following wind on the travels, and then there's Sunday morning too. I did the Sunday class in June, really would like to do so again. I'll need to arrange a sofa in Edinburgh though, hotels are $$$ at the moment.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 06/09/2024 09:19

Well, I had two mornings of total failure to get up in time to exercise - hopefully I’ll be able to do better next week now that I’m back in the term time routine. It’s been quite a shock to my system!

Hope you’re doing OK, Bez - it sounds like you’ve got a lot going on.

T25 speed 1.0 done. Mere two-armed burpees are trivial compared with the one-armed ones on Tuesday.

I can't even contemplate a 1 armed burpee, Professor! I did planks today instead of burpees at the early s&c class. I did manage a new/current deadlift pb, which was nice. 65kg for 6 reps, so I've a bit to go to get back to my now decade old one, but getting closer is good.

OP posts:
BezMills · 06/09/2024 14:29

Haha to 1-armed burpee. I threw my back doing them this one time and I've basically given myself a lifetime Note From My Mum that I don't have to do them. Ever. I would consider a slow motion version, there's a bit of Sun Salutation that is more or less a slow move from standing to plank via a couple other poses.
