Finished L1 of the Shred. I’m noticeably stronger than at the beginning of last week, which is heartening. On to L2 next week.

I think my target is 150 for the year, since I didn’t start till this month.

Imfreetofeelgood · 26/04/2024 20:49

5 mile walk and then 40 minutes bodybar workout at home.

florenceandthemac · 27/04/2024 10:48

Back, shoulders & arms on Thursday and some HIIT on the rower.
Missed my strength session yesterday morning as I was so tired, and also couldn't run at lunch as I had physio. But I did a 10k walk in the evening.
Today I've been out for a 7k run with run club, and was supposed to be out hiking this afternoon but I'm going to the football instead now. Glad I went for a run 😊
Happy weekend all! Lovely weather here today

pelotonaddiction · 27/04/2024 11:10

I've signed up for a couch to court netball taster session!

S&c this morning. Might run with ds later this afternoon. I was exhausted yesterday too, Florence so took a rest day.

That sounds fun Pelo. I was trying tonget a friend to start hockey with me but she's totally uninterested and I'm not brave enough to go by myself!

So jealous @pelotonaddiction, I love netball! Unfortunately, I have psoriatic arthritis which also affects my nails, I lose them regularly. They're far too tender to play netball, makes me 'sound like a girl' when I say that I'm scared to play netball in case I "lose a nail", but I know I'll be in tears regularly if they take a knock. I can't even load the dishwasher and washing machine without pain in them.
Anyway, enjoy 😅🥹 I'm chuffed for you

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 27/04/2024 12:20

Yoga class - quite gentle but very good for sore shoulders. DD and I have a skating lesson this afternoon too.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/04/2024 17:52

Started Shred L2 as the dread was getting disproportionate. Still hate it! At least this way I only have to do it four more times this week.

OublietteBravo · 28/04/2024 18:04

Shred L2 is my nemesis. So much harder than L1 or L3!

Ds and I didn't get around to our run yesterday so we did uphill sprints today. Nearly killed me.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/04/2024 06:31

Shred L2 done. Owwww. Not quite my nemesis- that’s L2 of Ripped in 30 with the whole cardio circuit in plank - but close.

OublietteBravo · 29/04/2024 13:33

The showers up at the clubhouse have hit water this week, and it isn’t raining. Which makes the whole 5k thing more bearable. I think I might have hit a plateau with my time though: 27min 54sec - a mere 3 seconds quicker than last week.

I'm tired today so I did a barre/stretch youtube thing a lunchtime (would never have thought of it only for the mention uptrend- thanks for the inspiration!) Meeting a friend for dinner so I'll walk there shortly.

Sometimes those stretch days are just what you need.
And you don't feel as lazy/guilty as doing nothing

Imfreetofeelgood · 29/04/2024 19:58

1 hour pilates class

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 30/04/2024 06:42

Shred L2 D3. Twice more to go this week. It’s not noticeably getting any easier!

roonetta · 30/04/2024 10:49

No matter how much I exercise, or what type of exercise I have been doing, Shred kills me every time! It is not to be underestimated! Well done Professor, keep going. The skating sounds fun too 😃

2 mile WWL done. Can't seem to summon the motivation to do any strength/Pilates workouts at the moment 😞

31

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 01/05/2024 06:35

Shred L2 done - only one more this week. I’ll try to knock that on the head tomorrow and do something else on Friday and Saturday.

Know what you mean about motivation, roonetta. I wish I didn’t find exercise so boring!

roonetta · 01/05/2024 11:48

Forced myself to do a Nat Hayward strength workout. Only realised when I finished that it was 50 minutes! Will feel that tomorrow.

florenceandthemac · 01/05/2024 15:30

Somewhere along the way I've sold myself short on exercise days. I would be reporting 81 on here, but I've just looked at my workout log and I'm on 86 🙌
Monday - Strength class and 6k run
Yesterday - Chest, shoulders & triceps and a 4k walk
Today - Legs at lunch, then I have a run after work and pilates class tonight.

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson Do you notice any weight loss on Shred?

Imfreetofeelgood · 01/05/2024 19:48

4 mile walk yesterday
60 x25m swim and 1 hour pilates class today.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/05/2024 06:36

Shred L2 done - half way through!

@florenceandthemac, I’m impressed with your workouts. Once a day is quite enough for me. I don’t think I’ve ever lost any weight doing the Shred. But then I’ve never really combined it with a proper diet, and I find it makes me hungrier. What it does do is really quickly improve my fitness.

florenceandthemac · 02/05/2024 09:17

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson ah that's great it kickstarts your fitness.

@roonetta Is it a subscription you have for Nat Hayward?

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/05/2024 13:09

I was really unwell on Tuesday so I didn't do anything yesterday either. S&c today.

That's a lovely surprise Florence !
