OK - I woke up with some muscle soreness after last nights squats and lunges in LBT class. This did not put me off accompanying my 13 yo to his gym induction - I did 50 minutes cardio machines. Alas, I am now finding getting off the toilet a tad challenging 😂

I find it hard not to make exercise competitive with myself sometimes Florence, which always ends badly for me. I end up stressed and under pressure and it's a recipe for burn out..I hope you can find the right balance for yourself.

I think I'm going to feel the same tomorrow imfree! I went to s&c this morning and ds and I did some uphill sprints instead of our usual c25k run this evening. He absolutely trounced me in all of them, then we had some short races on the way home when we were supposed to be doing an easy jog back. Of the total of 11 sprints we did, he won 8. I only won 3 because he had a stitch and I cheated😂

Dh's birthday tomorrow so I may end up having a cake filled rest day.

52 x 25m swim - and that's me done for the day as my thighs are still complaining g. Fortunately my swim was not affected. Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday

40 minute cardio in gym and 50 mins swim with DS (not counting lengths, as he was more keen on playing Tag and diving for sinkers) - but at least I've been active. The joys of being an "older mother". What is WWL roonetta?

Did a pilates session on Thursday lunch, then a HIIT stairmaster session in the evening.
Pilates again Friday, a 20k family bike ride Sunday, and pilates yesterday.
I'm going to carry on doing more pilates classes each week (I used to only manage one a week really), but I'm going to reintroduce weights sessions again this week.
Also, how fast did that long weekend go...?

I didn’t run yesterday due to the bank holiday. Pleasant running weather today. My 5km time is still improving - under 29 minutes (38 min 49 sec).

Short run today. My options on leaving the campsite were flatish, narrow, overgrown rural road, uphill with path or uphill without path. The uphill with path was very uphill.

Thank you! I'll have a look at that. 3 mile dog walk and 1 hour pilates class. My achilles and calf are playing up, so I've cancelled tommorrows LBT class, as I'm scared to lunge,and there were lots of them last week. I'll replace with a swim.

Happy Friday everyone!

I made it to my strength session this morning for the first time in three weeks, so I'm on a high. I barely did any lower body, as I can't squat or lunge without pain, but I gave everything else a good go. Finished it off with 20 mins HIIT on the stairmaster.

Yesterday I did 45 mins 'dynamic' pilates, and Wednesday I did a chest, shoulders & triceps session, so that brings me to 61 ✔
God I've missed this buzz!

Anyone got any good weekend plans?
