5 km in 29 min 32 sec

Pleased with that! It’s about 50 seconds faster than last week, and the first time I’ve run a self-paced 5km in less than 30 minutes since I went back to running.

BezMills · 11/03/2024 15:29

that's really great @OublietteBravo !

Last week, was hard to find time, a lot going on outside of the gym! :
Monday teaching boxercise
Tuesday stretchy bendy class
Sunday BodyCombat

I can only dream OublietteBravo! Today - 43 x25 m swim, and 1 hr pilates class,and I've joined the council gym 😊

BezMills · 11/03/2024 20:13

How does Leslie boost the walks Roonetta?

S&c today. My shoulder is very achey after yesterday paddles swim and my legs are already seizing up after the squat and lunge fest. I feel properly crocked!

Great running @OublietteBravo

This threads full of action lately 👏🏽

46 ✔️
Strength class followed by HIIT sprints yesterday
Chest, triceps and shoulders today and a 4k fast walk after work

roonetta · 13/03/2024 13:53

Hope you are feeling better today Motherforkin. Watch that shoulder 😉

With the WWL, essentially you walk to the beat so she boosts the walks by increasing the pace of the music, so you are jogging instead of walking. Did another 2 mile boosted walk today. Am feeling a bit bleurghhh at the moment so hoping a bit more effort with my exercise will put a spring back in my step 😁

6km run at lunch
Short hamstrings session followed by Pilates class tonight.

Pilates wasn't as enjoyable as usual as I'm suffering with my SI joint causing pain also into my bum, groin and lower leg. Had an MRI last night though, so will see if my rheumatologist contacts me 😑

Goodnight 😴

That sounds painful, Florence. I hope your consultant can help.

I was fine yesterday Roonetta but between fetching and carrying the dog to the vet, ds being sick and working late, I gave up on the day and ate a load of cheese.

S&c this morning to make sure I actually got to it. I had a chat with the woman at the station beside me about how we both hate having to go there but usually feel better for it, so there must be something in the air.

I definitely love the feeling afterwards @MotherForkinShirtBalls It's what gets me through it.

48 ✔️ Back, biceps and core done.
That's it for today as I'm at the hairdressers tonight

Had a day off so served my early strength session but went to Pilates later on instead 😍
Weekend off now as I'm going away 🙌🏼
Have a good weekend all

This week has not been good. Made myself go to my s&c class this morning. Turns out I don't love the feeling before, during or afterwards Florence 😂hope you have a nice weekend away.

Imfreetofeelgood · 17/03/2024 20:07

Well after a good start on Monday, things went a bit pear shaped😳Tues nil. Wed 4 mile dog walk. Thursday nil. Friday 6 mile dog walk, 1 hour pilates and body bar. Sat, nil. Sunday - swim. Still it's more than I was doing, so staying positive. I borrow the dog 2 days a week (just in case anyone was worrying he doesn't get out much 🤣).

Lot of activity today between dog walk, tidying the garden (hacking back overgrown everything), a run with ds and a short sea dip. The dip was my favourite, I need to find more hours in the day to do it more often.

@Imfreetofeelgood that is still a really good week, imo

I had another week where I struggled to find time,
Monday : taught boxercise (penultimate week of Beginners)
Weds : Lovely Hannah my Pilates instructor, is back after taking time off for things.
Sunday : BodyCombat (despite the rather unpleasant sensation of my hangover kicking in during track 3/7, I felt GREAT afterwards)

(38)

I'm going to do MOAR this week

OublietteBravo · 18/03/2024 13:06

5km in 29min 23sec. Surprised to be faster than last week as it felt hard (and the barrier was down, so I had to negotiate the kissing gate twice).

BezMills · 18/03/2024 13:54

@OublietteBravo it's so funny, I've noticed a few times that 'hard' runs can be slow or fast and so can 'easy' runs! Well done on a great run!

S&C and more clearing out (the joy of a bank holiday weekend)

OP posts:
roonetta · 19/03/2024 13:14

Hope you enjoyed your weekend florence

Great going everyone. I am really struggling to fit in any more than twice a week at the moment, although I do walk to/from work 3 days a week so I'm not totally stationary 😁

Nat Hayward Pilates with the 'ring of doom' done. God I hated it - felt like a fish out of water and my balance was shocking.

roonetta · 19/03/2024 13:17

We have our bank holiday in a couple of weeks motherforkin so I can see myself doing lots of garden tidying 😏

BezMills · 19/03/2024 15:04

Had a really good class last night. A new person who'd got in touch via the Boxercise office turned up, and loved it. She was a proper duracell-bunny type, just started slinging punches in torrents and kept it up for the whole class! This morning she's bought the 10-pack and booked ahead 4 classes. I'd call that a result!
Can I just share two comments, the first from a regular who brought her teenage daughter to class since day 1 (who has gone from extremely tentative to slinging BOMBs)
"Really great session. It's lovely being in a safe & inclusive environment!"
and from my new participant
"Already booked! what a great group!!!"

I'm ever so pleased, couldn't be happier with that kind of feedback.

roonetta · 19/03/2024 16:54

Amazing @BezMills! You deserve it, you have put in the hard work 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️

That's great, Bez, well done. All your hard work is paying off.

We have a run of long weekends between St Patrick's day just gone (Sunday, so Monday off too), good Friday (not a bank holiday, but I get it off work) and Easter Monday, Roonetta. And we have a family gathering the following weekend so I've a lot of incentive to clear the crap!

Short run today. Dog is limping so my step count has fallen off a cliff while he is resting.
