Launched my Boxercise class last night. 9 people came, it went really well. Hopefully will see them all, and more, next time, in two weeks.

Feel you with the night sweats and poor sleep Motherforkin. Not sure why, but my menopause symptoms make me want to work out even more to try and combat them. Not sure it's working though Confused

Good luck with the class Bez.

I wish I had the discipline for the peri symptoms to push me, Roonetta! They mostly make me want to stay in bed at the moment. I'm back to the doctor next week to see about tweaking the doses so fingers crossed.

Early strength and conditioning class today to get it done. Managed 6x50kg squat which I was surprised to get to as I've been hovering at 45kg for ages.

Ah, I wasn't outside in the elements florence. I do an indoor walking workout called Walk With Leslie where I am warm and dry Grin

Did a nice Nat Hayward strength workout today

stuck in a bladdy call (that the organiser was 15 minutes late to) which is delaying me getting out to the gym before school run. Hoping to smash out some PBs (thanks to good old beginner gains still in effect)

Thanks folks Blush 8 years ago me used to crack out these weight for warm up, so I find it a bit dispiriting that they are now PBs. I need to change my mindset as well as my body!

Cycling today. Not intentionally or too far but it was bloody hard work so I'm counting it.

My running has been slower lately, and when I go out with the aim to 'fast' run, I can't get near my previous pace. I have started to accept the tendon pains caused by my inflammatory arthritis will probably hold me back forever now, but at least I can still enjoy running I guess...
However, today was the first time in a while I haven't had sore lower legs while running, and I was flying! It will only be a one off but it felt like a good day!

'Fast' Grin 6k run at lunch.
Then a 50 min bodyweight hamstrings and glutes workout, followed by an hour of Pilates this evening

Sadly didn't get to the gym, just the way it goes. I will go at lunch today, then mobility plus BodyCombat later. Triple Trouble Thursday it is!

It is hard to fit everything in some weeks, you just do what you can

I don't know how you manage to fit so much in Florence and Bez. Work is mad at the moment so I'm time poor but even if it wasn't I don't think I could find the time (or energy!) for three sessions a day!

S&C at lunchtime (I'm booking slots in my diary to make time). I'm fairly meh about the instructor who was supposed to be on but she was subbed by the owner who is an absolute craic vacuum so it was fairly hard going.

I didn't get on great at weights today, I only had a short time so didn't warm up fully and just jumped under the bar and warmed up by working my way up from empty bar to my current max + 2.5KG. That didn't feel too great, and in the end I just binned the whole workout and went home after chatting for ages at reception to my friend the PT

Today life got the better of my plans, completely. Ah well, I get plenty of exercise, and a quiet week won't matter. I'll hammer it next week!

Ah that's a shame @BezMills! But next week is definitely a new week, and everybody needs rest/an easier week every now and then.

@MotherForkinShirtBalls I do have a full time job but we have a makeshift gym in work, so I train in there on my lunch.
Then after work I exercise while my DS is at his clubs/activities.
Unless we walk/hike at weekends, I actually don't really do any structured exercise then, as that's my family time.
I have been going out with the local run club on Sundays but that will only continue for the next month or so.
Well done on your S&C. I know how you feel regarding a crap instructor, I feel a bit like this about my Pilates class, but I just carry on as I want to fit some Pilates in somewhere.

Did a chest, shoulders and triceps session at lunch.
Also went for a 4k walk after work but that was only while my DS did some hill sprints as his football training was cancelled. Enjoyed the time with him though

Amazed I didn't feel sore after the weights
I've got a couple of dumbbell bars coming tomorrow to go with my plates, means I can have a set of heavy and a set of medium and not have to swap mid workout

I've not done a spin class since Christmas Day so I need to do that this weekend... been focused on weights

Nice, @Paw2024 New Kit Joy is definitely a thing!

I have taken a tactical half day, so can sack off to the gym at 12 sharp for a couple hours and then still have plenty time to get to school pickup (I have DD on my own all weekend so this is my last chance to gym it before Monday).

The work out space at work sounds really useful, Florence. Although then I'd feel guilty when I didn't use it 😂

Unplanned but needed rest day yesterday. S&c this morning followed by cardio kick boxing and dog walk. Taking ds to buy new, proper running shoes later so we can do the c25k together.

Love that you're getting the young fella into running. I'm hoping to get our DD into boxercise in the future. I aim to do parent and child sessions in the future when I get the right paperwork.

Dd used to do a Cave Kids class a few years back, Bez and she loved it. It was in the gym where I did s&c/weights/functional/caveman training so she loved doing what I was doing.

Love hearing all about everyone's DCs exercise!
We got my DS into running when he was about 6. He's nearly 10 now and runs 10k faster than both of us 🫣
He's also currently enjoying CrossFit/hyrox style kids classes at the gym. He would love your boxercise class @BezMills

So good for them to be brought up in an environment where exercise is part of normal life, isn't it?

@MotherForkinShirtBalls it literally started out as us using an empty office at lunch and bringing our own equipment in.
Our employer then gave us a budget to buy a TV and a range of dumbbells etc
I love it! I'm in the office three days a week and use it those days.
Hope your DS enjoys the running.

Went to a Pilates class yesterday, and am about to go out with run club now for a 9 miler.

@florenceandthemac that's one big reason I took the opportunity to become a BodyCombat instructor. Boxercise is even better because I can run kids or parent+child sessions. I'm short a couple of tickets for that but should be able to get them by summer hols.
