Ah that is a pain @OublietteBravo nothing worse than being ready to train and getting stymied!

Wednesday off, Triple Trouble Thursday. Weights at lunctime (pb in all 3 exercises, kaching, got to love beginner gainzses)
30 mins mobility (skived a bit on the leg exercises cos legs were deaded) before BodyCombat. Again skiving on anything too leggy (lunges and squats were done literally half assed).

Today I am off up to Hampton to pick up a bunch of good 2nd hand boxercise gear. Bit of a mission to say the least, but I will have plenty time to look out of train windows and do admin.

Other than a walk later, and maybe a walk tomorrow, I'm resting til my long run on Sunday morning

One planned and one unplanned rest day. Currently waiting to go in to strength and conditioning class and looking at the programme, filled with regret.

hello, my mum has osteoporosis and I'm worried about it too, do you think 30 days shred will help with bone density has it has weights or is there any other beginner program? I can only workout 20-30 min daily, have small children. Thank you.

Yes @Alohapotato there are lots of great strength workouts on YouTube. Try Caroline Girvan - her strength training workouts are amazing, and she has several 20-30 minute workouts. Start with smaller weights, or even try her beginner workouts, although these may be longer than 30 minutes. Start small and build up. I think any strength training helps prevent osteoporosis.

I had an exam today so I'm drinking wine this evening instead of running 😂

I started my weights journey with 30DS, Aloha and moved on to free weights after that. I don't have the discipline for home workouts these days but I've heard good things from the others here about Girvan. Even body weight training is a good start and you can build on it once you're confident in your form. It's very easy to injure yourself going too far too fast (as I know well with my banjaxed shoulder 😥)

@Alohapotato I haven't done Fuel. I had a look and see the workouts are all around 30 minutes. I would second what Motherforkin has said about not going too fast. I also injured my arm by increasing the size of weights too quickly. If you've never used weights before, I would start with her beginner programme as I think she tells you about good form etc. which is important. If you just want to get stuck in then start with smallish weights. Even if it feels easy while you are doing it, I guarantee you the next day you will absolutely feel it. Any workout is better than none, just get started 😊

Hello, I just did day 1 burn program from Sydney Cummings. Children were having breakfast and watching tv.
I only used 1kg weights as they are the only ones I have and I modified the jumping bits because I live in a flat but I loved it.
Should I do all the program with 1kg weights and then going up in the next program? as @roonetta says I'm afraid of injury myself.

Generally, take a rest day after a work day to start with. Once you are in a routine you will feel whether you want to add volume on a training day or even train 2 days straight

Thank you! Do you do pilates at pilates studio or at home? I want to start doing pilates again too, it helped me lots with back pain.

I do it at a studio on a Wednesday, it's at my gym but it's the only pilates session there that I can get to. Sometimes I just do some youtube pilates at home around my other workouts, mainly for the core and stretching aspects

I love pliates but it's a struggle to get to class because my bastard colleagues keep booking meetings that clash with it. Then my instructor took time out for new baby and I'm waiting for her to get back (so I can once again struggle to attend!)
