Quad DOMS here too, after heavy squats at lunchtime. In the evening the mobility hit them with lunges and deep squats, then BodyCombat just put the last nail in the coffin. OW

I ran 5km. It wasn’t pretty, but at least I did it! 31min 37sec. Not too shabby given I haven’t been running since 18 December.

I'm off to Bournemouth to do a bit of BodyCombat tourism - they have a free* launch event for the new routines.

( * spending 40 quid and half a day travelling to get a free class lol )

Strength and conditioning followed by cardio kickboxing at the gym. The kickboxing class was crazy busy.

Bournemouth was amazing! 400 of us doing BodyCombat in a hall with a huge soundsystem.
Today I did weights. Wasn't a great session but I got through it. Then BodyCombat, straight after. Ow!

Yesterday I fast walked 5k, so an active rest day really but I power walk so I class it as a workout 🤷🏻‍♀️ tell me if you think differently...

Today I did 13k 'long slow Sunday' with run club this morning, then a 9k walk this afternoon. Currently at 33k steps.
I'm definitely ready for bed

Welcome Florence! I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis.

I've started the Iron Program on the CGX app and done the first 3 days so far. Today is an active rest day so planning a 5km run/incline walk combo (not allowed to do uphill runs because of my dodgy knee).

I think tomorrow should be a rest day for me.

@SophieLion I don't have the CGX app (too many other gym memberships etc!) but I LOVE Iron Series on Youtube so I'd love to do Iron 2, enjoy!

Days exercised 8, although I haven't finished today yet.
Went to my early morning strength session this morning, then I'm going to go to my other gym this evening and go on the stairmaster(whilst watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy)

I only just got the app actually Florence and still on the trial period.

I love Caroline girvan but I've done you tube iron twice, epic heat twice, fuel twice etc etc and wanted to do something new to keep me motivated. I was trying to avoid paying out! There's also very interesting articles

Weights today. Better this time, definitely needed the rest yesterday.

Getting my boxercise class set up in my spare time. Today I did my insurance, booking and payments, plus sent out a bunch of DMs to my friends who might be up for it. I have 5 definites for my first class already, so chuffed.

Mobility today, after weights yesterday. The Simplistic Mobility Method from Tom Morrison. It is surprisingly hard, especially the day after squats. Legs were very shaky towards the end. (7)

30 min run done at lunch. Off to the gym after work to do a glutes class then Pilates.

@BezMills Never heard of that SMM so just been having a look for my husband! Do you rate it?

Yes I think it's really great. The FB community is really supportive too. You can get a lot (a lot) of stuff for free on Tom's youtube but the program is a complete integrated thing. Worth it imo

I tried to go running on Monday, but there was no hot water at the clubhouse - and I just couldn’t face a cold shower afterwards. Still no hot water today, so I went running at 15:15 (so it was daylight, if chilly), then drove home and had a shower before logging in and doing another couple of hours work. So that’s my second 5km of the year. Must add some other exercise back in.
