London Marathon 2024 Ballot Results

Entered the ballot for the 9th year in a row and fully expecting to be unsuccessful, but still excited to hopefully find out the results in the next week or so! It seems to be dragging, although I remember when you had to wait for the result by post in October! Anybody else excitedly/anxiously awaiting an email?

I wouldn't worry too much about not getting g a place in Manchester at this stage.

It's just a marketing ploy to ensnare London rejects to sign up!

I hadn't even thought of entering a marathon and entered on New Year's day. There were still advertising for places after that date!

Probably not helped by being the partner for the ASICS 10k this Sunday, and today being one of the bib collection days

Manchester do this every year. You can enter the same week… it won’t sell out its just marketing

I didn't get in which I'm pretty relieved about tbh. I haven't completed C25K yet so signing up for a marathon was probably a little ambitious! 😂

A big fat rejection for me too. The burden of fundraising is a bit much for me at this stage of my life but I might consider it in a few years time.
Looking like Paris for me but I’m eying up and few March ones too so it’s not too hot. I like winter training and I’d rather a not too warm 26.2🤣

I can't make lets do this work either :( I've lost count of how many times I've entered, I think this is 15th year possibly 16th?! I wish they guaranteed a place after 7 entries like they used to!

Defo give Paris a go. I have done it three times and it is a very well supported event that is just as big as London. Cracking start as well at the top of Champs d'Elysee before looping around Paris seeing the sights. Finish line is by the Arc Triumph. Nice flat course too. If you book everything early you get eurostar and a night in a hotel for under £450-500.

Someone I know from school guy rejected again, 8th or 9th time applying. I mean come on, that is just shit.

Thanks. I thought so. Fairly sure it’s never sold out. There’s a first time for everything, but not likely in July.

Today was my 15th rejection. It's definitely becoming my annual day of rejection
