London Marathon 2024 Ballot Results

Entered the ballot for the 9th year in a row and fully expecting to be unsuccessful, but still excited to hopefully find out the results in the next week or so! It seems to be dragging, although I remember when you had to wait for the result by post in October! Anybody else excitedly/anxiously awaiting an email?

It's a no. 9 rejections in a row. Still can't complain as I was accepted in my very first application!

So you have to have signed up via them?

When you enter the ballot it's done through them. The email confirming your entry into the ballot will have a reference number on it. If you try to manage your ballot entry it shows if you have been successful or not.

What is your B plan if you're not successful this year? Will you try a different marathon and hope to get a fast GFA Time?

I didn't get in, but am secretly relieved, it would be my first full marathon. Best of luck to those who made it!

Lost count how many times I have been rejected by the London marathon ballot. I seriously recommend doing the Paris marathon that is the week before. You can enter online and get a place immediately, none of this ballot nonsense or being hen pecked to death by charities.

I messaged them and asked if that meant if entries are ONLY open until Sunday and they replied non-commital. “It depends” basically. But a marketing ploy to scoop up everyone that got a no I guess.
