Parkrunners Assemble - reviving the thread that will remind you "do not forget you barcode"

Hi everyone,
it's been a while since we've had a thread for Parkrunners to share how their run went. So if you ran today , which event were you at, how did you go and if you have the 5K app, did you get any new achievements?

I'm in Australia, so we are at the start of our summer and it was a sunny morning in the low 20s so great for a run. I was at Mosman (Sydney) with my son, it's a 3 lap, out and back course with a short steep hill at the turnaround , that seems longer and steeper each lap.
I came about half-way and the only 5K app achievement I got was for Date Bingo.

I’m off to Sewerby tomorrow - nice parkrun by the sea. It will be my 99th parkrun and am hoping to find a 99 flake afterwards 😃

hope you enjoyed Sewerby @MirandaWest we have family nearby so have done it a couple of times when visiting.

Sounds fun @QueSyrahSyrah and well done in the stopwatch bingo.

Unremarkable run here - ran there and back, started with the parkwalkers as they were mates I hadn’t seen for a while so we chatted our way around the first half lap or so and then ran the rest.

I’m still waiting for that elusive last stopwatch bingo number…there’s always another week.

I’m doing my 100th parkrun tomorrow 😃 Will be a bit of a drive to get there but a, meeting up with other people who wear colourful running clothes and to top things off I’ve got a helium balloon too. Will be unlikely to blend in 😃

No parkrun for me this weekend - my local one is cancelled for 2 weekends because of events in the park.

It's winter school holidays in NSW so my son didn't have football and we managed our first parkrun in months. We were tourists at Pamboola Wetlands on the south coast a very very flat, very very cold run round a nature reserve. It was a beautiful setting with lots of kangaroos and birds on the course spoiled only by my knee playing up and having to walk for a large section. I got alphabet bingo, position bingo, date bingo and some other alphabet related achievements and my son smashed his PB so happy all round. Hope everyone else has a good run or volunteer

Exciting morning here with an inaugural parkrun to attend. It’s very local and the RD is a friend, she’s worked so hard on this and I am delighted launch day is finally here ☺️

How exciting! I’m running & volunteering this morning. My goal is to reach 100 runs & 50 volunteering on the same day, which will be one day next spring.

NHS Parkrun day. I'm off to Valentine's in part of my uniform.

I’m at my home parkrun - haven’t been here since May 😃 think it will probably be my slowest one here this year - is very warm and my legs don’t like going too fast when it’s warm 😊

A stop watch bingo number - first time for ages 😀. Great turn out from the local hospital for the NHS and lots of blue. Not a bad time considering the humidity.

And I realise it is my parkrun birthday today - 6 years since I turned up after couch to 5k not expecting any hills…..

Event went really smoothly, 115 runners and i got roped in last minute to be parkwalker which was fun. I missed my last stopwatch bingo by 1 second AGAIN 😂

Well done to all the runners this morning. We also had an NHS75 parkrun this morning. I volunteered this week after some local tourism last week. Hope the inaugural went well @CalmConfident - looking forward to seeing where it is, as I suspect it might pop up in my NENDY list.

I (stupidly?) decided i wanted to extend my run so ran before parkrun (4.2 miles, longer than i planned) then i ran parkrun and obviously couldn't give up half way round, then ran home!

All in all it was 8 miles🤯🙃, pretty chuffed with that

Happy parkrunday! I volunteered this week, barcode scanning this time. I got drenched when the heavens opened. It looked like it was hard work today for the runners.

We had a wedding at my usual parkrun as well, wonder if we were at the same one!

Lymington for us today./. Holiday has been planned around 3 new locations...

Pleasant enough, rain held off, and mix of grass tarmac and trails with a bit of a climb each lap...
