I have decided I am not getting up early to do my exercises. While it is nice to have them over and done with first thing, I was getting up at 5.15 in order to get them and everything else done before kids got up. I also felt I wasn't giving it my all as I was half asleep, which is probably not a good idea when throwing dumbbells around. I am going to make myself do at least 3 days of strength workouts a week and try not to stress over it not being enough.

Yesterday I did a 2 mile WWL along with my walk to and from work.
Today = Girvan lower body dumbbell workout done and a 2 mile WWL.

Hi I’m still here, trucking on with Jillian’s 30 Strong January Challenge. On the home straight with it and have quite enjoyed it. Also doing Adrienne’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge so quite a lot to fit in every day!

I bought 8kg dumbbells last week so I’ve also done a few Caroline Girvan full body dumbbell workouts to try then out. Glutes are sore today!

Not sure what I’m going to start in Feb when my challenges are finished. Might do Body Revolution again as I think I’ve had the best results so far from it.

Just finished a 30 day shred level one workout! I've decided to cycle through level one of the various JM dvds over the next few weeks to get back into the swing of it, I get a bit bored doing the same level over and over as I've been doing the DVDs for so long. Also have to work out when to incorporate my Restore your core workouts which is as much postnatal rehab as exercise! Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

@StyleDesperation well done on starting the Shred! I agree that the worst thing about the 30 Day Shred is having to repeat each level for days on end. I find that boring and lose focus so the last time I did it, I did L1, 2,3, consecutively, then repeated for the rest of the month.

I did a full body dumbbell workout with some guy called Keith on Jillian’s app on Saturday and my arms, legs and glutes are still sore!! I did a 30 min abs workout from the generator on the app yesterday and Yoga with Adrienne. Mondays are my rest days. I’ll go for a walk later and finish up Adrienne’s yoga challenge.

Decided not to repeat Body Revolution now that 30 Strong is finished and started Slim 60 this morning instead. It’s another workout from her app which looks quite similar to 30 Strong. Think I’ll enjoy it!

I always hated the repetition too Style. I did the same as Wineloffa and did the levels consecutively. I like your idea of doing L1 of different programs. Let us know how it goes.

Good luck with Slim 60 Wineloffa and well done on completing 30 strong, along with all the other workouts you are doing! You are killing it! Star How did you find Caroline's workout?

I had a few rest days, although I do walk to and from work on a Monday and Friday, though I don't count that as exercise. I found a lovely 20 minute Girvan HIIT workout and did that today. I enjoyed it.

Morning! I started Jillian’s Slim 60 last week and it’s going well so far. I like to do heavier weights workouts at weekends though so this morning I’m
going to do Keith’s dumbbell workout from the app followed by Yoga Inferno.

@roonetta I really like Caroline’s full body workouts whenever I do them. She’s brill and I’ve heard good things about Epic and Endgame, they’re both on my list!

@StyleDesperation how are you getting on with the Shred?

Yes all good here, have only had time for one other JM this weekend, level 1 of Ripped in 30. But it feels great to be moving and it doesn't seem to be exacerbating my post natal issues which is amazing! Have been doing loads of walking this week but getting hardly any sleep because of DD. How do you have a recovery day with a toddler?? 😂

@StyleDesperation well done! I love Ripped in 30, such a great workout. I know what you mean about finding the time to exercise with young kids. Mine are older now so easier for me to fit it in.

This morning I did Lift and Shred L1 and Yoga Inferno L2. Both Jillian workouts and both really tough!!

Great exercise ladies Star.

Managed the following this week:-

Tuesday Girvan full body dumbbell workout and 2 mile WWL
Wednesday Girvan chest and triceps and 1 mile WWL
Thursday Girvan leg day

Walked to and from work Monday and Friday. Don't usually do any exercise at the weekend, too busy with housework, washing etc.

My DS had a dreaded positive test today, so that's him at home now until after the half term. He is okay, but full of a cold, so I am keeping everything crossed that the rest of us don't get it. Luckily we didn't have anything planned over half term.

I am therefore working from home until he is negative as the office don't want us in if anyone in our family is positive. Did a 2 mile boosted WWL today to make up for the fact I wasn't walking to/from the office.

I do have the 6 week 6 pack dvd but for some reason have never done it. Will def give it a go.

Decided to have pizza for valentine dinner tonight so did the lower body kickbox workout first! Did a bit of walking to and from work today as well, just nice to get some fresh air.

Sorry to hear about the covid @roonetta. Really hope you don't get it and that DS recovers fast. Can I ask what is WWL?

WWL stands for 'Walking with Leslie' Style. It's a gentle walking programme which burns lots of calories without injuring myself Grin. I love Jillian's workouts but occasionally had problems with my knees with all the jumping, not to mention my pelvic floor isn't great any more Blush

Did a 20 minute chest and triceps workout and only managed 1 mile WWL today.

As DS was feeling better today I managed a 20 minute full body strength + cardio (well she said it was 20 minutes but was more like 25) and a 2 mile WWL which was done by a young man for a change and was a lot faster. Enjoyed it.
