Well done on getting so far in BR, Wineloffa. How are you finding it (other than the cardio!)?

I’d forgotten that I was going to try Epic Heat! I do love Jillian though.

I’ve done Killer Buns and thighs and Killer abs - are they part of Killer body or is that a diffent thing? If they are, then I enjoyed them, Killer buns and thighs in particular. I might do that today.

I’m finding it really hard to motivate myself lately!

Wineloffa · 13/09/2021 10:52

@gratedbeetroot I’ve mostly enjoyed BR, the variation of workouts has been good. Just finished my first workout 11 and it was pretty horrific though! Jillian must have stolen some of those moves from SAS boot camps!

I think Killer Body is different to Killer Buns and Thighs but there’s that many workouts it’s confusing sometimes!

I know what you mean about motivation! Sometimes it’s easy to sneak in a few too many rest days!!

Also did a full body power flow with Adrienne this morning abs now my arms are like jelly. Think I need to go and lie down...Grin

roonetta · 13/09/2021 17:08

Hi Wineloffa Smile well done on nearing the end of BR Star. I don’t think I have done Killer Body either. Would be interested to hear your thoughts. Glad you enjoyed Caroline - she definitely is a beast!

Also finding it hard to motivate myself mainly caused, I think, by things getting back to normal so I have less time during the week. Not sure what my excuse it at the weekend though Blush.

Three rest days again, so I made sure I changed into my workout clothes as soon as I got home from work and picking up kids from school and made myself do BR workout 4. Not the most effort I have ever made, but at least I got it done.

Days exercised 164?

Wineloffa · 13/09/2021 22:17

Hi @roonetta, on work days I get up at 6.15am to work out or I definitely wouldn’t do it otherwise. On weekends and days off, I work out around 10am. Well done on 164 days of exercise!

I bit the bullet today and subscribed to Jillian’s app. After a bit of browsing, I’ve decided to do Slim 60 when I finish BR. I’ll report back my experience and opinions. X

roonetta · 14/09/2021 16:38

Thanks Wineloffa. Hope you like the app.

Well done @roonetta!

I’m about to do Lift & Shred L2, followed by a power yoga session from Jillian’s app.

Only one more week of BR and then I’m done! Happy Saturday everyone!

Hey ladies, hope you don't mind me jumping in. I have a lot of weight to lose, prior to the pandemic I had done really well and was working out every day sometimes a couple of times a day. I have not exercised since but started a little this week. I will be mixing it up and starting slowly, at least one day a week I am hoping to do Jillian Michaels Banish fat boost metabolism video ...but not all of it. As I say I'm starting slowly as I don't want to overwhelm myself. I'm also eating better, so hoping to keep going in this way.
Noone at home needs to lose weight so it's super hard so any support from yourselves would be super helpful and last time I lost weight it was a forum like this that helped.

Thank you in advance!

Wineloffa · 18/09/2021 14:30

Welcome @Andits123! You’ve come to the right place to chat about all things Jillian!

I haven’t done the Banish Fat Boost Metabolism programme so I’d be interested to hear how you get on with it.

Best of luck on your weight loss journey. Slow and steady sounds like a sensible approach. X

Welcome @Andits123 🙂

BFBM is one of Jillian’s longer workouts and is tough. It will definitely help you drop the pounds as it is cardio based. You are wise not to do all in one go! Do you have any other of her DVDs? If not and you want to try some of her others, go to the website bilibili.com and type in Jillian Michaels. This will bring up pretty much all of her workouts and might help keep things interesting by changing things up. You mention you sometimes worked out twice a day, but I think with any Jillian workout, once is enough so you don’t become overwhelmed and give up. Best advice I can give is to not try giving up everything you love food wise, and to start slow. Sounds like you have already decided to do it that way, so I reckon you are on the right path..

Good luck and please keep us updated on your progress 😊

Thank you @Roonetta for the great advice and the website for Jillian's other DVD's. The only other one I have is the 30 day shred, did that a few years ago and it's a killer! Yes, I'm planning on going slow and steady and hopefully getting some of this weight off. Weekends for exercise are much easier as once I get back home and have sorted dinner I'm way too tired to do anything.

Thank you once again and you seem like a great bunch of people will definitely keep you updated on how I'm getting on Smile

Hello all - sorry, this thread dropped down my list!

Welcome @Andits123 BFBM is one of her tougher DVDs IMO but a great cardio workout! So don’t worry if you can’t do it all. The exercises are easy enough but it’s is a long one. Good luck and well done on making a start!

I agree with roonetta re considering mixing it up with other workouts. I wouldn’t fancy doing it more than once a week tbh. But you might love it!

Please do stick around and keep us updated on how you’re doing Smile

roonetta · 20/09/2021 17:30

Hi Beetroot Smile

I can’t seem to find the time for exercise at the moment and haven’t done any since last Thursday Blush. I am really cross with myself and think it will only get harder once I have to be back in the office three days a week. I did walk two miles to and from work today so that’s something at least. Will get back to it tomorrow.

gratedbeetroot · 20/09/2021 18:00

Hi! I’ll join you on the naughty bench Blush although the walking counts! The DC are back at school however there’s been so much to catch up on that I wasn’t able to do during the summer that I’ve been focusing on that. I really am going to get back into it though! I’ve been running a couple of times a week because I don’t want to go back to square one with that.

Thank you @gratedbeetroot for your lovely welcome and the reassurance about the dvd. I went on a cycling lesson with a friend and still a bit sore 🙈 but it's great for burning calories. I have another lesson booked in another couple of weeks. I can ride but need practice to be able to indicate. May try some skipping today.

It's my son's birthday weekend coming up so I need to eat super well until then. I've been keeping track on mfp and have been doing well, better than I have for a while. Although I had a cupcake at work, 300 calories! I knew I would regret it but had it anyway, wasn't that great and a total waste of calories! Overall it was a good day ❤️

I'm like you and struggle for time amongst all the other stuff I have to do but have more time at the weekend.

They do say to lose weight 80% is about your diet so if you're eating right and then running 2,-3 times a week, you will still working towards that loss!

roonetta · 21/09/2021 13:55

Making room for you on the bench Beetroot Grin
Well done on keeping up with the running. My DC have been off school already with nasty colds (not Covid thank god) and I managed to catch it, albeit a milder case. Will be a miracle if either of them manage to do a whole term without illness or isolation. I'm beginning to get fed up with this now.

Good luck with the cycle lessons Andits - that sounds great. My DD's birthday was this weekend and although they were ill with colds, we still managed to pack in LOTS of food. Don't beat yourself up about enjoying a treat now and then, although I feel your pain when you feel like the treat wasn't worth the calories - wouldn't it be great if we could refund the calories back when the treat wasn't enjoyable?

Managed to do BR workout 7 and 2 mile WWL.

One more day of Body Revolution to do tomorrow and then I’m finished!! Feeling very pleased with myself that I managed to stick with it for 3 whole months!

Starting Body Shred on Monday because a few people online commented that it’s a better follow on from BR. I know I said I was going to do Burn 60 but I’ve changed my mind.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
