Amazing Hermione Star - is Body Pump purely weights? I don't want to start the 30 day trial until I finish BS but think I would love to try it if it is an introduction into weight lifting.

BS Cardio 2 done. I am giving myself a star today as when I watched this workout yesterday, I didn't think I would be able to get through it, but I did and am feeling proud GrinStar

Might try the Les Mills trial after BR Hermione if it is ok with hand weights - although I'm also pondering BodyShred - decisions, decisions Confused Got to get through another 56 days of BR yet though, so I have a while to think it over! Grin

Had a workout rest day but did a 3 mile run. Work tomorrow so will try to get up early again to Jillian!!

@roonetta it is strength training with weights, but is fast in places and really gets your heart rate up - I was thrilled to discover it counts as cardio as well! I am super impressed at your cardio efforts - to quite Gollum “I hates it”

Didn't manage to get up early on Saturday so did Day 35 and day 36 of BR this morning - boom!

Feel like it's definitely getting easier as I get fitter - I managed the burpees today without stopping and didn't find the cardio too bad at all. Struggle with some of the strength sessions though.

Just need to work on not eating as much chocolate now, as I'm still carrying some Christmas chub.

How's the weekend going for you all?

Thanks Hermione - I like the sound of Les Mills and will be doing the 30 day free trial once BS is done. I also “hates” cardio but I have some stubborn weight still to shift so it’s a necessary evil for me 😕

Well done on building your strength and stamina up Algonquin. It feels great to be able to do things which were difficult before. I also know what you mean about Christmas chub 😂

Two rest days for me. My body is definitely feeling the effects of Body Shred and I felt like a couple of days off would do it good.

What number workout are you currently on Algonquin? Well done for getting up early to get your workouts in!

BS cardio 2. Killer Angry (hot not angry) Awesome calorie burn though.

Can I join if I am just attempting 6 week 6 pack? Just looked up BS and it looks intense...and expensive! Is it worth it?

You can get Body Shred on her App, or I do it from the website Bilibili.com which is the Chinese version of YouTube. Type her name into the search bar and it will come up. I think you can also get second hand copies on EBay if you prefer DVD versions, but I think the price and availability varies depending on where you are in the world.

OK thanks for your help. So far have managed the lower level of 6W6P twice, and can only hold the side planks, not lift lower leg up! Will be chuffed if I can even manage that!

I was the same with those side planks when I did 6W6P @napody!

Still going with BR - workouts 3 and 4 are tougher but do-able. I'm liking cardio phase 1 as it flies by but I hate those kick outs with arm circles - they kill me! She reckons "suicides" are the worst but I could do those all day compared to that one!

Well done everyone for all the hard work - this regime is really giving me a focus during the hardest month of the year, don't you agree?

I agree Yesbutno about the "suicides". I don't get what she finds so hard about them, but she doesn't seem to find one arm burpees a problem!
