Run / Walk / Swim / Cycle 1000km / miles in 2021 here we go again!

Third year for me aiming to be as active as possible most days. So join me in setting a goal and keeping on track by logging on here . I’ve set a 500mile run target this year to be realistic as I’ve nursed foot issues most of 2021 which really curtailed my running miles but sea swimming and trail running have developed into my passions. What’s your challenge this year?

I'm in and aiming to walk 2021 miles. I have a collie so walk a lot! So far 36 miles done

I wonder how far people's dogs, especially collies, walk?

I was just wondering that myself. My dog runs around so much on every walk he easier does twice the distance I do.

13km with the dog and 7km running in last 2 days.

My dog actually has a tracker thing not very accurate though as often tracks him as doing less than me when he does at least double running back and forward to inform me I should go faster

Early super frosty Dog walk but managed to get a lush sea swim in at lunchtime it was a stunning blue sky day.

Another 7 miles so 43 done. I think my fitbit would explode if I put it on the dog.😁

14km today - in two 7km runs because work was a bit mad.

Forced myself for lunchtime run made it upto 7.5km wish I’d got 8km as it would have been a nice round 5m but I’d reached home and needed lunch

3k in the snow yesterday!

7k today. Tried out my new trail running shoes. Pleased with them.

I think I did about 6k but Runkeeper thinks I did an extra 2k in the house because I forgot to switch it off.

Great runs everyone particularly in this inhospitable weather! Very glad we don’t have snow - I run in Nike’s Zoom Fly 3 and am liable to go over an ankle in anything but the lightest of rain.

17.43km run today - random distance! sort of pre-training for the Hackney Half right now - just getting some km in. Proper training starts in Feb. Oh and I bought a treadmill!

I only managed 3 runs this week, less than I’d planned but better than nothing and it was a full on week at work (primary school) so I’m not beating myself up.
I ran along the beach this morning in gloves and woolly hat, it was -1 degrees and I passed a lady in a bikini getting ready to go for a swim! Hardcore or what!!

Lovely cold run this morning - went the other way up the canal to get to a big bridleway. The canal was busy, but loads of space everywhere else.

I've run 19.8km so far this year.

I'm only counting long walks not the short turn DH and I do every day to get out of the house. Walking so far for the year is 15km.

I've managed 15km running so far since last Sunday and 28km cycling. Which I'm pretty pleased to have been able to fit in as I've worked 7 days this week.
