New thread needed! All runners welcome, whatever your pace or distance.
Cold icy run for me this morning, couple of exciting sliding episodes! Not a fan of the ice...

10km this morning (and a sea swim!) - only managed two runs this week as have been resting my knee, which is thanking me for it.

The key seems to be to ice straight after, but I'm still going to see the physio on Tues as a precaution. So @UnaOfStormhold, I'm feeling you today!

If I pick up any tps at the physio I'll let you know...

Thanks @50footwave - I've been reading that icing can help, will have to give it a try! Good luck at the physio.

We add our runs onto a monthly cumulative total, in miles. So you have 6 miles to add!

Thanks! I normally measure my runs in km, but I think today's outing would equate to just over 5 miles, taking us up to...

VanillaAndOrange · 27/02/2021 13:15

Lovely run, by the way, taking in a bit of the sea front and a long, slow hill that I didn't need to stop for at all.

Amaura · 27/02/2021 13:23

Look at us with our mileage

Two 5 miles and a hilly 16 miler to add. A shame that we’re short a few days this month as feeling like I would have smashed my highest monthly total otherwise.

Absolutely glorious this morning, felt like summer. Trialled my larger run vest which went well.

Always with the cross posts (I’m clearly too slow)

Sounds like we all enjoyed the good weather today. I can’t report a swim like @50FootWave though!

No swimming here either! I can’t imagine the temperature of a river full of snow melt!
Another gorgeous run today in one of my favourite routes. Really enjoyed myself.

Just short of 8 to get to 50 for the week again. I did not enjoy the hill so much today

5 miles for me today, without too many complaints from the niggly foot apart from towards the end. Gorgeously sunny, although I did of course manage to fall into the one muddy puddle I encountered... it’s a skill Blush

I saw this and had to share with with you !

Very true @CalmConfident!
Oh dear @Spudlet, that was a very muddy puddle!

No sunshine here (well much later in the day). Foggy run. Went with a friend and really enjoyed it. Felt back in the swing of it.
Loving the pictures

Lovely 10k mudlek in the spring sunshine, working hard on form so hopefully my hamstrings and knees will be happier tomorrow.

Love the piechart CalmConfident!

Tempo Intervals after work. It was so cold I got the gloves back out.

New month so new total

5km yesterday, my fastest of the year (still slow at 32 mins!) so feeling good. Knee still niggly, physio today to find out why.

Loving the photos, and the mud!

6km yesterday. I've not been managing many runs if late but feel better about this week! I'm pleased it's March. The photos are all beautiful!

WhatILoved · 02/03/2021 06:26

Good luck with physio. Aged 21 I completely dislocated my knee cap and spent months in a brace, so I get niggles still too, it's the first part of me to tell me that I have put on weight! I find if I don't do any of weighted exercises with legs it gets very weak.

Purpleraindeer · 02/03/2021 07:34

I was so excited yesterday as I thought I was posting the first mileage of the month and then for some reason it wouldn’t let me post. Sad

Supposed to have done an easy run but I was a bit stressy yesterday (work) so ended up going much too fast but it felt so gooooood

Intervals this morning, went well. Cool and grey here, perfect for running!

Thanks, @WhatILoved.

Turns out I have patella tendinitis - nothing serious, just a case of too much running too soon, and nothing a few weeks of slower, shorter runs plus some cycling/stretches won't cure.

So nothing above 5km for me this month, but as the physio said, better that than me telling you to stop completely!

Annoy · 02/03/2021 17:06

Wow didn’t we all do well in March... over 1000 miles 👍👍 Well done everyone!!

Did my 1st run in over a week yesterday, I’m a teacher and went back to school after the half term break off and I’ve just been knackered getting back in to work routine.

Managed a measly 1.5miles with a colleague yesterday, it’s our Runday Munday and Swim, so ran to a tarn, had a dip/swim and ran back 😀
