New thread all Smile

plink I love the circuit workouts but they always fool me into thinking they are going to be easy but they hurt!! Shoulder intervals are definitely the easiest of them all and there for my favourites Grin

Yeah I miss mothercare too - not that I need it, but was a bit nostalgic as was only place with a feeding room in our town and also dh made like 10 trips in one day when we had first dc Grin

PlinkPlink · 19/08/2020 14:02

They were great those feeding rooms. DS had a massive cluster feedy day once when we went to our local mall and I was so grateful to have it there 😂

10 times in one day is pretty impressive though 😂😂😂

yumyumpoppycat · 19/08/2020 14:50

I may be exaggerating a tiny bit, but it was a lot 😂 he and staff were on first name basis before too long!

Don't think I could cope with 6 months of 2 week periods by the wayShock

Purpleraindeer · 20/08/2020 10:47

2 week period poppy - that is awful.

Good weight for the little one plink - you’ve got the good milk obviously!

I’m on a trying random workouts phase - I did max out strength last night (ow the press ups Shock) and t25 total body circuit this am. Yikes. I had forgotten how hard that was. I looked at the clock as I was tired and I had only done 3mins! Grin

WhatILoved · 20/08/2020 20:31

16 day period! What a nightmare... that happened to me when I went on copper coil. Didn't work for me.

I have slings for babies that like them when they start with me to help them settle, I have a Manuka, but I have to admit I've never been a lover of wearing babies, not even my own! I was always jealous of people that could wear them all day. My boys got quite heavy quickly and I never really mastered it. My husband loved using the sling, the babybjorn one, but then lots of articles came out at the time saying they weren't good for hips.

I've been doing a couple of random workouts with my kids for a laugh like the Brazilian butt one with Leandro. Basically just camera on bums for the half hour.

I'm on week 5 of Lift4 and deffo feeling stronger and can see more definition round collarbone area. However I can't seem to increase my weights at the same rate as the people on there do!! Still on 5kg and 8kg dumbells. I must have been a weakling to start with.

On hols for 5 days next week and obviously not taking dumbbells etc. Might do nothing, might go for morning run or random workouts. Might do some Core de Force with kids if it rains as requires no equipment and they do martial arts. Anyone tried that?

yumyumpoppycat · 21/08/2020 09:01

WhatIloved core de force would be perfect for a holiday workout with your kids - it's quite fun and there are some fairly short workouts if you just want a quick blast.

Leandro is nuts there is no way that workout can be done with a straight face 😂

Purple enjoy your random bb workouts! T25 is deceptively hard! Think it's one of those where the fitter you are the harder you end up working so it doesn't get much easier

I have a scan in a few days - really surprised and lucky how quick it's been arranged. I suspect it could be thyroid but I had a normal test for that last year. Have heard there are some more comprehensive tests for thyroid but will see what happens with scan before asking. From googling 2/3 week periods aren't that bad and some youngish women are having them going on for months Shock

Reastie · 21/08/2020 10:20

Whatiloved do you have bands? They can be great for travelling. I used to take all my weights on holiday with me Blush .

Yumy periods sound miserable, hope it’s not making you anaemic. I had similar when on the copper coil too. I put up with it for a year before giving up on it. I think they prescribed something to stop the bleeding be as heavy every month. Hoping the scan goes ok and glad they’re looking into it.

Purple I know the feeling of being spent with only a few mins into a workout and the feeling of so much to go!

No workouts all week to rest my back and it was working until yesterday I carried a hoover upstairs and lugged the buggy into the boot whilst Ds was in the carrier on my chest and now it’s back again. I’m beyond miserable. Hoping for a run tomorrow but who knows. I’m not sure what to do for the best. Maybe I shouod be sensible and go for a walk...

yumyumpoppycat · 21/08/2020 15:40

Oh no Reastie Sad I guess if you go for a walk you can suss out whether or not you could have a run in a day or two? Hope it settles quickly.

I don't use birth control we mainly use more old fashioned methods Blush but actually been fine touch wood.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/08/2020 15:50

Sorry if that sounded weird/ rude - I just meant bleeding not caused by b/c . I might end up on some kind of pill now though if it continues! I tried the pill years ago but forgot to take it so we gave up on that option!

WhatILoved · 21/08/2020 16:50

Yummy when I was in my 20s it was not unusual for me to have 10 day periods and long cycles (which is why I should never have been prescribed copper coil!). So all could be fine. Most of 30s on bc so no idea if it would have continued. If you do have to go on something I've tried most things and pretty much anything other than nothing or combined pills make me bleed constantly. But everyone is different!

Yes reastie I have bands and one of those cordless ropes for travel. Could take them I suppose. Hope you feel better soon. Sounds rubbish!

yumyumpoppycat · 22/08/2020 11:03

10 days What - that is a lot. Mine always used to be 7 days long and come every 25 days but at least I knew where I was - now I haven't a clue! Enjoy your vacation

Purpleraindeer · 23/08/2020 17:27

Hi all Smile

WhatI - I always do cardio only workouts on hols. I’ve not tried corps de force but I’d heartily recommend t25 after the last few days. The first 5 don’t need weights and they’re great. Or the HIIT only workouts from lift are good too. Also max30 but they’re harder.

Poppy - glad you’re getting seen quickly.

Reastie - hope your back is feeling better. The fact that you hurt it picking up the hoover just makes it even worse!

T25 speed 2.0 today. Was like old times Smile. As usual the balls of my feet hurt afterwards but it was worth it! I love that workout.

WhatILoved · 23/08/2020 21:30

Thanks for recommendation Purple, will give it a go

yumyumpoppycat · 27/08/2020 21:16

Woohoo purple - speed 2.0! I need to do that one soon.

Dd2 and I swapped c25k for body attack as it was raining, it was a 22 min one with lots of jogging and not too many push-ups - she was smiling a lot more than when we do our jog thing at the park and we did loads of hi fives Grin

Purpleraindeer · 28/08/2020 18:00

Poppy that sounds really fun with your dd. I love it when my 2 join in. They were doing squats holding my trainers for weights today

I’ve been away with no weights so doing the HIIT workouts from lift 4 which I’ve enjoyed. Back home and planning to do 2 wks of fast 800 to shift a bit of lockdown weight. I figure short/sharp is the best way for me. Poppy I’ve seen you’re on one of the fast800 threads so I’ll join you Smile. I’ve bought my eggs/avocado and spinach and I’m all ready to go!

yumyumpoppycat · 31/08/2020 16:20

Purple I am off now to find you on that thread!

Purpleraindeer · 02/09/2020 18:27

It’s ever so quiet on here
I’m doing lift 4 for a couple of weeks whilst I’m doing fast800 as I didn’t want to do anything new.
I felt a lot more tired than normal after my workout today and felt overall weaker so I guess that is the effect of the lower calories.
Hope you’re all ok and ready for back to school Smile

WhatILoved · 02/09/2020 22:45

Purple, I'm really enjoying Lift4, but a week off and my muscles felt so weak!

School starting- my biggest worry is that my son will struggle with the lack of physical exercise! he's had so much over the last 6 months and loves being outside!

Hope all goes well for everyone!

PlinkPlink · 03/09/2020 21:14

Hello!!

WhatILoved - ohhhh yes. Youll really feel taking a break in the middle of Liift4. I did that before and regretted how much it set me back. It set me back for weeks after.

Purple - what is that? 800 cals a day? If it is, I'm not sure I could survive doing that and Liift 😂

Yum - that's really cool you do workouts with your DD. I bet its lovely 🤩🤩 how old is she?

Reastie - how are you doing? The things we try and do with kids attached to us 🥴 DS has decided to become part monkey and climbs everything he can now. He's managed to get up onto the lounge windowsill using the heating knob on the radiator bit he can't get down. So quite often I'm holding DD and taking DS down from the window. Not great for my back. Good dose of rest will help. Can DH rub some Tiger Balm into your back? That stuff is amazing!

Roman - where are you these days? Hope you're okay 😊

Well, my journey on the 21DF pots has begun. I weighed myself today... 12st 13lb. Eep. I'm trying not to panic though. It'll come off in time especially if I stick to the pots. Slow and steady.
In just lbs, that's 181lbs. Which oddly is the biggest weight I got to (when I was monumentally unhappy in my life). Being that big again has been a big fear since I lost it all but its nice that the reasons behind my weight gain this time are super happy ones.

Looking forward to losing it all and getting a new sodding wardrobe too. Sick of my maternity clothes 😂

yumyumpoppycat · 03/09/2020 22:35

Ooh plink good luck with pots! If you still have bbod there are quite a few short videos of autumn and her brother making meals and batch cooking etc

What that sounds like it will be a bit of a change of pace for your ds - my daughter is the opposite really which is why I have been trying to encourage her a bit more. She was sound asleep super quick today after her first day back!

My dd2 is 9 by the way! It is fun once exercising together once I have persuaded her to get her trainers on and great to spend some time by ourselves.

Purple I hope you have more energy tomorrow. I remember literally conking out on the sofa for naps last time I did 800 diet strictly - it does get easier but I def found it hard to combine exercise - if you get into ketosis hopefully that won't be the case though?

WhatILoved · 04/09/2020 20:57

Yes my younger son sounds more like your daughter. Bit more chillaxed. His very first day of school not until 15th! His only worry is that he won't like the dinners!

I did Cize with my older son last weekend as he did a bit of street dancing on zoom over lockdown. Once they start going fast I can't do the moves. Never been a great dancer!

Don't think I could survive on 800 calories! Well done for sticking to it.

yumyumpoppycat · 05/09/2020 15:34

Awww whatiloved it will be your ds first day at school! nothing cuter than the first day of school photos!

I always feel like I am not properly exercising if I do the dance workouts but sounds like cize is a step up then.

WhatILoved · 05/09/2020 18:52

I agree I don't feel it's as much.

Purpleraindeer · 06/09/2020 09:15

Hi all
Hope your ds first day school goes well whatiloved. Mine are back without incident although ds seems to be struggling with being told what to do - fair enough really!

Since I last posted I did lift 4 legs and then chest today. That legs one is a killer. I felt properly sore - it is the deadlifts that do it every time!

Finding my diet difficult to understand. Am sticking to Cals and macros and visibly look thinner but have been at the same weight for the last 3 days. What is that all about?

yumyumpoppycat · 06/09/2020 19:24

Purple I think peoples bodies respond to adapting to ketosis in different ways; apparently it's vital to drink lots of water to flush things through and metabolise ketones Confused if you look thinner you know something's happening so it's either water retention or you are a bit bunged up. Sounds gross but I only lose lbs if i am regular so to speak Blush there are some random theories about fat cells filling up with water before reducing in size.

No exercice but we went for a long family walk today.
