New Yearathon 2018

It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

What other DVDs do you own Oub? I personally need to mix things up a lot to stay motivated (although I definitely have my favourites).

It's a shame there are so few of us on this thread. I remember there were lots of people involved when you started your old thread(s). I wonder what happened to them all.....Easter Hmm

Easter hols has meant DIY and a change to the usual daily routine. I have managed 12,000+ steps per day since Good Friday but have not done any JM or weight training. I will see how I feel about BFBM or KBFF tomorrow... Whenever I re-start the JM workouts my arms will know it Blush.

OublietteBravo · 05/04/2018 19:38

I did 30DS L1 and L2 for a change. It was hard work - I'm definitely ready for a shower!

I'm not really sure which other DVDs I have. I think I've got KBFF, Killer Abs, Ripped in 30, and... probably some other ones too. I really should have a look.

Six week six pack L2

Hello Blody 👋

Oubliette - I also have 30DS and Ripped in 30. Not overly keen on either of them to be honest. Not sure why Hmm Might have even given 30DS away! Do you like Killer Abs? I read lots of reviews a while ago and I think people said it's not as good as 6W6P. I'm glad you got me into that DVD by the way - I really like it. Thank you Smile

OublietteBravo · 06/04/2018 18:46

I'm not keen on Killer Abs - level 1 makes my lower back hurt no matter how careful I am with technique, so I tend to avoid it. I'm not sure I've ever tried L2 or L3.

Just a short session this evening: 6W6P L2

1.5km run. Obviously intended to do more but tripped and fell. Hurt my hands and knee but ok. Bit of a shock. Sad

OublietteBravo · 08/04/2018 17:45

That sounds unpleasant Sophie - glad you are OK.

I had a rest day yesterday (kids to PGL), and I've just done NMTZ

Extreme shed and shred L1
Bit annoying as hurt both my palms so can't put any weight on them. Planks are hard!

OublietteBravo · 09/04/2018 19:18

30DS L2 & L3

You have my sympathy Sophie - planks are hard even if you haven't hurt your plams.

40 min KBFF and 12000+ steps each day this week so far. Arms surprisingly OK Grin.
Hope you're palms are better Sophie.
I have many DVDs too Oub but tend to stick to favourites. There is a JM Yoga Meltdown one which was filmed outdoors in the desert, when they are all wearing dark glasses Hmm, which simply creases me up so I cannot follow it. Others, such as 7 day Shred, are just too hard!

6km
Interval run

I did that DVD once on YouTube Blody. Doesn't she give some odd explanation at the start as to why they're wearing sunglasses? Something like "we didn't realise it would be so sunny in the desert"!!?Grin

OublietteBravo · 11/04/2018 18:51

Just a quick session as DH and I are off out for dinner Smile

Legs were still sore from interval run yesterday so fancied something with a bit more lying down Grin

Ooo dinner out with DH sounds lovely Oub!

There is new 2018 JM Cardio DVD on Amazon. May try it for variety but doesn't sound like it will be challenging, based on the reviews Confused.
Still 12,000+ steps and KBFF every day this week so far here.

SophieLion · 12/04/2018 13:09

Great minds think alike Blody! I was on the JM site earlier checking out her DVDs and saw this and thought of you and Oub Grin

I tend to get most of my cardio from running so don't really have any cardio-only DVDs. Although suppose KBFF is a lot of cardio (but very toning for abs and arms - especially if use hand weights for punching).

OublietteBravo · 12/04/2018 19:24

I'm tempted by the new Jillian, but not sure I can justify getting another one when I only use a few of the ones I already have.

I did two levels of 30DS this evening: L1 & L3

Had a rest day yesterday as muscles were feeling sore and tired. Not sure why as I'm careful to stretch properly Confused

6km interval run today.

OublietteBravo · 15/04/2018 14:52

I had a rest day yesterday as I had to go and pick up the DC from PGL.

Today my right knee is very sore. I'm still debating whether to have another rest day or whether I should adapt 6W6P L1 such that it is all floor work...

Killer Arms and Back L3

Hope your knee improves Oub. I also have a sore left knee. Was a bit funny but since falling last week during my jog, it's got worse. Might go to see a physio and get a sports massage while I'm at it.

SophieLion · 15/04/2018 18:59
