New Yearathon 2018

It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

Caved and got the Killer Cardio DVD.
Did the first workout today. Found the rest intervals quite odd as am used to pushing through each move/circuit as per the other DVDs.
Quite enjoyed it for the sake of variety but I would still say BFBM is the best cardio JM DVD.

PGL run residential adventure holidays for kids (age 7 to 16).

I took yesterday as a rest day in the end.

My knee is still a bit sore. I can just about manage squats, but not lunges. Plank seems to be OK. I modified 6W6P L1 so it was all floor work (I swapped the first 5 exercises for the evil abs circuit from NMTZ).

I hope it recovers soon - I'll get bored if I can only do one particular circuit.

Six week six pack L1

My knee feels better with each day that goes by. I presume this is good. However, I can't yet do squats/ lunges/ moves which involve lateral movement (e.g. Jumping jacks).

Today I did a modified version of NMTZ. I did the warm up circuit, and the 4 floor circuits (plus the abs circuit from BFBM).

(74/176; 61h 45min).

Blody, How long were the rest intervals compared to each circuit** in Killer Cardio?

blodynmawr · 17/04/2018 21:32

Oub good news on your knee.
Sophie wasn't counting but would guess about 20 -30 seconds each.
Worked from home most of last week but was back in the office today. This meant I returned to the usual 40 min of KBFF first thing and 2 x walks (at lunchtime and when I got home) to get to 12,000+steps.

Thanks Blody.

My knee is still improving: both squats & lunges are now OK (still can't manage things like jumping jacks or plank jacks though).

I'm still mostly sticking to floor work for the moment. Today I did a modified version on 6W6P L1.

I walked DS to cricket yesterday (a little over 2 miles), but didn't get time to exercise (an adult has to stay on site for the duration - which meant standing around for 2 hours). Ironically I'm more tired than usual this morning, despite yesterday being a 'rest' day Grin

6W6P L1 this morning - no modifications as I reckon my knee is OK again.

Hanging round at cricket for 2 hours doesn't sound fun. Is there anywhere you could go for a run round a field or pitch while they're playing?

SophieLion · 23/04/2018 07:40

Lower body and upper body workouts from KBFF and booty camp workout from 10 minute Body Transformation DVD.

Really enjoy KBFF! Fun workouts. Time passes quickly and great for core and obliques!

Rest day yesterday (I did a loaf of painting, so ached more today than I normally do after an exercise session). Just a short one today as I'm on swimming lesson duty: 6W6P L2

Feeling tired today, so I did strength rather than cardio: NMTZ

Still a bit under the weather so went for six week six pack L1. Funny how when I first did this at Christmas it seemed so hard and now it's my workout when I want to take it a bit easier!

I also did 6W6P L1 - for a similar reason.
