New Yearathon 2018

It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

I don't know how you find the energy to do two levels together Oub! I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong as any exercise I do always feels so hard. Perhaps I'm using weights which are too heavy. Usually use 4kg dumbbells and then 5kg for things like deadlifts and less weight for a few (eg supermans with arms out constantly).

OublietteBravo · 23/03/2018 19:17

NMTZ

I'm a wuss - I have 1kg and 3kg weights.

(56/194: 47h 45min).

Both levels of 6W6P

Grin at wuss!
But I think heavier weights do make a difference. If I do L1 of a DVD that I usually do L2 or L3 but use heavier weights then it can still be really hard.

Not exercising today: was out last night, got to go out again tonight so need to conserve my pressure energy Grin
Hopefully will do a DVD tomorrow.

SophieLion · 24/03/2018 09:24

Precious energy!!! (Not pressure energy Hmm)

blodynmawr · 24/03/2018 16:11

Hi both, am still doing BFBM and 10,000+ steps every weekday despite failing to post regularly! Got the SportsRelief app too which has added to my motivation over the past few weeks.
Well done Oub on your exam results WineGinFlowers.
I use 5kg or 6kg weights too Sophie. I like to feel that I have worked out IYKWIM.

Killer Butt and Thighs L1

67 days

Hello Blody! Was wondering where you'd got to Smile I find it helps with my motivation if I keep track of my exercise on a daily basis (well almost daily).

SophieLion · 26/03/2018 06:42

Blody, I could well be wrong but suspect a shorter, more intense workout with heavier weights is probably the same as a longer, less intense workout with lighter weights.
I just prefer the former as normally under time pressure and want to get it over and done with Grin

SophieLion · 26/03/2018 07:29

6W6P L2 (used 5kg weight throughout. No way I could have done an Oub and followed with L1 Grin I'm wrecked!)

68 days.

OublietteBravo · 26/03/2018 18:37

Hello Blody

Back to cardio this evening: BFBM

(59/191 - I realised that I counted day 56 twice; 49h 40min)

Dance for an hour.

Opps 69 days

Do you think you are on track for your target Oub? Think I'm just using the same target as youGrin

OublietteBravo · 27/03/2018 18:34

Strength: NMTZ

I'm more or less on target. Assuming that we'll be 1/4 of the way through 2018 at the end of March, then I need to be on 50 hours and 62.5 days to be a quarter of the way to my target.

(60/190; 50h 30min)

Killer Arms and Back L3

blodynmawr · 28/03/2018 07:34

I have come down with a cold so have only managed 10,000+ steps and 1 x 20min KBFF each day so far this week. Feel slightly better today so hopefully can get back to BFBM tomorrow.

OublietteBravo · 28/03/2018 18:57

Both levels of 6W6P

Off to jump in the shower and then out for dinner with DH (both DC away at the moment).

(61/189; 51h 35min)

OP posts:
SophieLion · 29/03/2018 13:10

Hope you enjoyed your dinner Oub and hope you're fully recovered now Blody.

Dance class. Tomorrow will most likely be a rest day as won't have time to exercise (busy day).

Welcome back Oub!
