It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

Managed 40 min of KBFF every morning last week, despite not feeling 100%, plus 10,000 steps most days. Feel much better today, and have done 40 min of KBFF, a 20 min brisk walk and am almost at 10,000 steps already. Lighter mornings are helping the motivation! Didn't do much yesterday (other than eat a lot of chocolate Blush). Need to get back to the goal of a full 50 min BFBM at some point this week....

In more exciting news I got the results from my October 2017 patent exam - and I passed! So no more professional exams - I'm

Congratulations Oub! Thanks👏🏻🍾 That must be a nice feeling.

Good to hear your news too Blody and sorry you haven't been feeling that great.

I'm lying in bed and thinking about what exercise I will do tomorrow morning. Perhaps 6W6P L2. Do either of you plan your exercise in advance or just what you feel like doing at the time?

SophieLion · 13/03/2018 07:10

6W6P L2. Those plank moguls are the worst exercise for me. Might have done L1 today but was under time pressure as got one of DCs home ill Sad

6W6P L1 & L2

I agree that the plank moguls are evil. I also dislike spider planks followed by mountain climbers (in L1), and I'm not keen on the jumping jack knives (or whatever they are called) in L2

7km run

I guess we all have our own things that we find difficult. All the ones you mention I don't find too terrible but the side planks with hip twist in L1 and the moguls in L2 are awful for me! I find those side planks harder than the side plank with T bar in L2!

Dance class - although spent a lot of time today talking about a piece of rumba music.....not as much dancing as usual.

SophieLion · 15/03/2018 13:12

Perhaps I should have said 59.5 days Grin (although I guess it balances the days I do a DVD and a dance class)

OublietteBravo · 15/03/2018 18:45

Unplanned rest day yesterday. My upper arm was very painful. As a rule of thumb, I reckon if you're in too much pain to be able to manoeuvre yourself into a sports bra, then you are allowed a rest day!

It feels OK today, and I stuck to cardio (so no weights): BFBM

All three workouts on KBFF. A really fun, enjoyable DVD.

What happened to your arm Oubliette? Sounds v painful

No idea what I did to my arm. It was fine when I exercised on Tuesday evening, but very painful when I woke up on Wednesday morning. Seems totally fine now. A bit of a mystery...

Just done both levels of 6W6P

5km run in the rain with the DCs as part of the half-marathon here.

SophieLion · 19/03/2018 08:42

Taking a rest day today. Think my body needs it: legs sore as we ran a very fast 5km yesterday and all back muscles and abs sore from the KBFF works outs (I used 1.5kg hand-weights throughout so think that's made a difference).

OublietteBravo · 19/03/2018 19:03

I had a rest day yesterday - I tend to have at least one per week.

Back to cardio today: BFBM

6W6P L1 plus 10 min JM booty workout
Dance class later

Yes I also take at least one rest day a week. I think it's important to allow the muscles time to recover.

Hadn't got round to showering or changing after tennis this morning Blush so decided to do a 7km run while DCs were swimming. See, there are advantages to not showering WinkGrin
