Exercise every day 2018

Anyone up for tracking some exercise every day in 2018?

I currently do yoga and bootcamp classes at the gym and stopped running in September due to an injury (but not injured any more!)

I don't drive so walk everywhere. I wouldn't count walking as exercise unless I went further/faster on purpose, but willing to count say 20 mins easy yoga so that I don't burn out with intense exercise every day.

I'm hoping the streak will appeal to the my obsessive nature and mean that I push myself to do more this year.

Anyone else up for it? Grin

What apps do you use/recommended dress? Ouch, that sounds sore. I'd be laying off abs for a bit. Is it worth going to see the nurse?

Workout 9/365 - pranced round my spare room doing jumping jacks and squats and whatnot from the app with my music going. I quite enjoyed it! Grin

Last time I tried Zumba I was crap at it, but coordinating dance moves is good for preventing your brain ageing apparently so I am a bit more tempted to try again. I did yoga today. I'm a bit achy.

QuinoaKeen · 09/01/2018 23:25

Day 10/365 done.

Very busy day today so I got up early for a 30 minute dance cardio workout from You Tube.

I was so terrible at it. I just jumped around most of the time while they did their steps Grin. I remember a Zumba teacher telling me to 'just keep moving', so I did.
Still, it was almost 3000 steps and I feel better for it.
Have a great day everyone Smile.

9/365

50 lengths and 1/2 hour of yoga.

Signed up for a yoga class tonight and for zumba tomorrow. I enjoyed it previously but get a bit bored once i have learned the dances. Hope it helps with the brain though!

Submariner · 10/01/2018 17:02

I'd love to be able to do 50 lengths Best. I will have to crack on with my swimming.

Pushed for time today so did half hour of my fitness app. I'm quite enjoying it. I'm doing 4 'days' at a time of their beginners program, which adds up to about 20-30 mins and starts of really easy but gets me sweating by the end. Never knew a 35 second plank was so challenging! 10/365

Thabks sub. Am training for a 1.5 mile sea swim. Did it last year and could swim 80 lengths in 40mins so still have a way to go. Sadly i still look like a tubby duck rather than a mermaid!

Wishingandwaiting · 10/01/2018 18:18

10.5k run
1 hour gentle hot hatha yoga

WeAreGerbil · 10/01/2018 21:44

10/365 Yoga with Adriene this morning (but only a gentle session) and mixed cardio / weights at gym tonight with my DD.

I'm a bit achy from something so just some gentle yoga tomorrow maybe.

Sub the app we use for couples kettle bells is call 'kettle bells by fitify' and the abs app we use is called 'abs & core workouts'

The kettle bell app I thoroughly recommend!

10/365 done, legs this morning and full body couples kettle bells and yoga this evening.**
(+3 hours shopping cardio with sil)

QuinoaKeen · 11/01/2018 05:38

Day 11/365 done.

One hour of cardio and weights in the gym.
Feeling good 😊.

@dressinblack shopping cardio is my favourite type of cardio!

Bestbees · 11/01/2018 06:52

10/365 1.5 hr yoga class. Stretched out

Submariner · 11/01/2018 07:03

Ooh dress those Dutiful apps look really good, and looks like there are some I can take into the gym and try out some new stuff. Thank you!

Should say Fitify not Dutiful!

dressinblack · 11/01/2018 09:56

Sub, We use the fitify app everyday and will be buying the full app later, we enjoy it that much.
11/365 done.
6:30 am couples kettle bells and I ran the school run whilst DS rode his bike (I cannot run but bought beautiful new running trainers yesterday). I plan on running to collect and will do abs and yoga this evening once we have cleaned the gym.

Alittleconcerned1980 · 11/01/2018 17:04

1/2 hr spin ROM
1 hour body pump
10 swim just because I knew water was really warm

Submariner · 11/01/2018 22:12

Just another quick 30 mins of my app after work. Tomorrow will be busy again so will probably be the same then.
But at least my 'don't have any time' days have 30 minutes of exercise in them now, rather than slumping on the sofa with my phone like before. 11/365

11/365 45mins of Zumba. 30mins yoga.

Agree sub, i know truthfully i can always fit in 30mins really!

QuinoaKeen · 12/01/2018 13:21

Day 12/365 done. Just.

Did not feel like it after a long day, but not wanting to leave this thread I did this workout:
I had to do the modified version pretty much throughout. But I did it.

Bestbees · 12/01/2018 14:43

12/365 1/2 hour yoga and 40 lengths.

Thinking ahead here but any tips for what to do whilst travelling? I have a few weekends away planned which will be fine due to either lots of walking and one which involves white water rafting! But what about abroad in hotel things? These are trips i am taking students on so cannot use gym/go for run. Any ideas welcome!

VivaLeBeaver · 12/01/2018 20:27

Did free weights then a core class yesterday.

Today did spin, then BodyPump, then repeated triceps/biceps track of BodyPump x3as someone I know needed filming for her instructor status. She messed it up and still hasn’t got it right but I nearly cried when she said she needed to do it again and said I couldn’t!

Submariner · 12/01/2018 22:06

Best will you have a phone or iPad to get YouTube? I would probably do a yoga video. Or you could research/plan some bodyweight exercises like pushups, crunches, squats that you can do quietly in a fairly small space.

My god Viva, I think that much Body Pump is plenty in one go! Grin Hope she gets what she needs filmed soon.

12/365 done. Just 20 mins of the app, fairly challenging but looking forward to a 'proper' workout at bootcamp tomorrow.

12/365 singles kettle bells and a quick blast on the bike. Not feeling great today and I didn't have time for yoga 😢

I have discovered oppo ice cream though - for those of you that don't know you need to google!

13/365 done. Bootcamp at the gym, it's my favourite session at the moment. Loved it.

13:365 kinda done. I went for a run this morning (still cannot run). Going away for the night so hoping to taste the hotel gym later!
