Exercise every day 2018

Anyone up for tracking some exercise every day in 2018?

I currently do yoga and bootcamp classes at the gym and stopped running in September due to an injury (but not injured any more!)

I don't drive so walk everywhere. I wouldn't count walking as exercise unless I went further/faster on purpose, but willing to count say 20 mins easy yoga so that I don't burn out with intense exercise every day.

I'm hoping the streak will appeal to the my obsessive nature and mean that I push myself to do more this year.

Anyone else up for it? Grin

Day 13/365 done, one hour at the gym. Really had to talk myself into it.
But as always, I'm glad I forced myself to go.

Can I join please? Technically I failed this challenge on day 1 as I was horrendously hungover on NYD and was horizontal on the sofa for the entire day. But since then I have either been for a run, a swim or biked on the turbo trainer every day. So I’m hoping I can gloss over day 1!

I did parkrun for day 13.

13/365

Only a gentle yoga session today after gym yesterday. I did go into Aldi to buy a chicken and came out with a kettlebell though, I used to do classes but injury stopped me, so I'm going to try some shorter sessions at home.

That's some impressive shopping Gerbil Smile. Wondering if Oz Aldi has kettle balls now! Might have to go check...

Day 14/365 done.
Thought I'd take it easy for the day of rest with a short dance workout, but this had me sweating and was 3000+ steps. I'm so uncoordinated. I'm very glad no one could see me do it Grin. m.youtube.com/watch?v=pBHEH1TfZXk

Welcome to the newcomers.
How are you going with the veganism Sub?

Really good thanks Quinoa we're trying to focus on Dr Greger's Daily Dozen veganuary.com/starter-kit/dr-gregers-daily-dozen-checklist/ one thing per month, so this month we've been concentrating on eating lots of beans and we genuinely feel more satisfied. Hardly got any room for treats! Managed to squeeze some in last night though - went for dinner and cocktails with friends.

Feeling sore today from bootcamp, so either going to do an easy day at the gym or a bit of Yoga with Adriene.

Apologies for radio silence, I have been running or walking every day but need to get back to swimming. Everyone is doing so well and great to get ideas from you all on different activities. I get into a rut with my exercise as my dog is usually my training partner which forces me out every day but limits what I can do. My aim is to improve my swimming in the local pool until the weather gets better and I can brave a bit of open water but I haven't done it before so I'm terrified. I have had offers of help though which I will take up for safety. Great work everyone

Battered I'm an overeater too, I keep promising myself I will be better but it's hard to get in the mindset, I know I feel better when I eat more healthily but the Christmas chocolates are still staring at me in the evening and ruin a days good work

Battered you sound like you're doing an amazing job. I'm going to try and be extra good this week and currently deciding what soup to make for the week as if I don't take lunch to work I will buy rubbish from the canteen and I'm going to try and meal plan, I over sugar and also feel bloated and sluggish which I could do without.

Hi Battered and nice to see you back Crash. I'm not actively aiming to lose weight at the moment but I definitely fall foul of overeating. It sounds like I'm similar to Battered in that if you looked at my meals for the day you would think I was super healthy, bit that doesn't account for three portions of dinner and/or a pack of biscuits of an evening. I'm never not hungry enough to eat and do too much recreational boredom eating!

Day 14/365 done. Adriene video. Nice stretch for my achy limbs. I think I can pretty definitely say that this is the first time I have exercised for two weeks straight. I'm loving it to be honest, and I can start to feel the habit forming.

Well done for working through your hangover @Bestbees!

Day 15/365 done.
HIIT is massive at the moment in Australia so thought I'd give it a go: m.youtube.com/watch?v=EeI1hMkbzag
It was okay. I did the modified version mostly, but as it was largely squats and strength, only 1000 steps. It's good in that as I started to get bored, the exercise would change.
I couldn't do the 'divebomb' which was basically a yoga cobra due to lower back issues, so did push ups on my fitball instead.

This is the first time I have exercised for two weeks straight too Sub. I also love it. I have loads of energy and great mood because of it, so thank you for starting this thread!

After two weeks I have actually put ON a kilo but I'm okay with this. It may also be due to having a houseguest and eating loads of desserts Grin.
Overall I feel stronger and possibly (?) slightly more toned. Definitely more energy! It will be interesting to see what happens after a month, two months etc.

Day 14 - I did an aquathlon event, so 400m swim and straight out for a 5k run. I was freezing beforehand - had to strip down to my trisuit outside in the transition area, but once I went into the pool for the swim, I warmed up, and was fine through the run too. Absolutely freezing straight afterwards though!

15/365 done. Went to yoga class tonight and the teacher couldn't make it so we had a stand in who did dynamic Pilates instead. It was nice to try something different.
