Exercise every day 2018

Anyone up for tracking some exercise every day in 2018?

I currently do yoga and bootcamp classes at the gym and stopped running in September due to an injury (but not injured any more!)

I don't drive so walk everywhere. I wouldn't count walking as exercise unless I went further/faster on purpose, but willing to count say 20 mins easy yoga so that I don't burn out with intense exercise every day.

I'm hoping the streak will appeal to the my obsessive nature and mean that I push myself to do more this year.

Anyone else up for it? Grin

Hi to all joiners! Welcome in! Loving the positivity.

Wow Steph I will be reading your blog from last year for motivation.

Wave to fellow vegan Quinoa. I am very excited - been as near as darn it vegan for a few months while I got my footing and taken the big plunge this year. DH is doing Veganuary too so it's giving us new focus to plan healthy food. Yum!

Planned an evening yoga class at the gym tonight but they cancelled last minute so did Day 1 of Adriene's new series instead. I highly recommend her YouTube channel. 2/365 done!

I too did day one of Adrienes YouTube yoga, I also did my morning stationary bike and this evening I did 30 minutes aerobics and another bike session (I watch Big Bang theory when on the bike so it is kind of cheating).
Well done everyone so far!

Day 3/365 done.

I can't get to the gym today as I have a guest arriving tomorrow, and I need to do the cleaning shopping thing. So I did this workout instead: m.youtube.com/watch?v=qWy_aOlB45Y

It's 30 minutes including warm up and cool down and had me sweating - although it is very hot here today. I will probably try to go for a long walk later tonight when it cools down. I have mostly avoided walking around my neighbourhood after DDog died last year, but I think it could be time to get back on the pavement. I will avoid her special places though.

Good luck today everyone.

That's not cheating dress! You did loads! Do you think you're going to do the full 30 days of Adriene? I usually dip in and out, especially as I have gym classes this year which I haven't on previous years. But I still love her videos.

Sorry to hear about your dog Quinoa. Hope your walk brings happy memories.
Where are you that it's warm? I'm just about to walk to insanity class in the driving rain!

3/365 done! Insanity class at the gym. Only half an hour but I am very red. I was probably the worst person there, but it was my first time and a great instructor, so I hope it will work on my speed and coordination, which are some of my weaknesses. Really enjoyed it! I'm definitely a classes sot of person - I would have given up long ago if I was doing it on my own.

I hope so sub, it didn't take long until I felt relaxed and I had a uni assignment to write afterwards and I still momentarily cleared my mind!
Bike done this morning, I plan on doing adriene day 2 this afternoon and this evening I will do free weights when DF is back so he can spot me.

I had a moment of 'I don't want to' this morning but I am so glad I did!!

Well done everyone!!!!!

Thank you so much for starting this thread Sub. I woke up this morning not feeling it at all. I didn't sleep well and was sore and cranky, but the thought of ending my streak after three days motivated me to get up and do this workout: m.youtube.com/watch?v=lujcE3FGL_U

Loved it! 45 minutes. 3000 steps. And now I'm feeling so much better!! I love that they have a countdown on the side of the screen so you can see how much longer there is to go Smile.

I'm in Australia (to answer your question). It's really hot at the moment so outdoor activities have to be limited.

Welcome @crashbangwhatausername. I can't even imagine doing a three mile run - well done!

Hi all, I would love to join you If poss.

I've struggled with getting any regular and consistent exercise...but I really want exercise and activity to become my new-normal.

Have done a couple of yoga and HIIT sessions thus far. Once I've lost some flab and improved my balance I want to take up paddleboarding. Been wanting to learn for about 3years and I'm not putting it off any longer!

Hi @DangerMouse17. I've always wanted to have a go at paddle boarding or stand up paddle boarding. Looks so fun!
Good luck with your new adventure 😁. Keep us up to date!

I need motivating, apart from walking instead of driving and taking the stairs today I am yet to do anything. I have no excuse, DS has bought a new game so is happy playing and my gym is at home. Someone please kick me up the arse!!
I've lost 3inches total so far I need to keep going!

Hi all! Wow, I can't keep up with everyone, but hello, I am loving all your posts, and welcome new starters.

I am very glad I started this thread too Quinoa, was tempted to open a bottle of red and have a night off tonight but did Day 2 of Adriene and feel much better for it.

I get DOMs all the time crash, even when I'm not out of practice. I think that's the downside of doing different things through the week. Aching today from Insanity yesterday, but the yoga was just at the pace I needed.

Did you do your workout Dress? If not, the day's not over - hop on the bike for a quick 20 mins!

Day 4/365 done. Better do something a bit more challenging tomorrow, but jogging is out the window because youngest DS was sent home from school today sick so can't go in tomorrow. (The kind of sickness that is instantly cured by a walk home and half an hour of cbeebies. Hmm )

I am very fortunate that my neighbour is a fitness fanatic and runs a bootcamp at her house and is always suggesting runs so I'm being pulled along on her enthusiasm. I'm very glad you started this thread though and hoping some people will join me in the daily plank in addition to their other exercise.
