Exercise every day 2018

Anyone up for tracking some exercise every day in 2018?

I currently do yoga and bootcamp classes at the gym and stopped running in September due to an injury (but not injured any more!)

I don't drive so walk everywhere. I wouldn't count walking as exercise unless I went further/faster on purpose, but willing to count say 20 mins easy yoga so that I don't burn out with intense exercise every day.

I'm hoping the streak will appeal to the my obsessive nature and mean that I push myself to do more this year.

Anyone else up for it? Grin

Oops posted too soon!

Today 30minutes hiphop tabata (something new for my feb aims!) Then yoga.

I gave up booze for jan (apart from good friends 40th blow out!) Still havent had a drink which isnt like me at all. Think this exercise thread helps as i dont want to exercise with a hangover!

Nofilter · 05/02/2018 20:22

Thanks best!

I’m sure I have a yoga cd somewhere I’ll dig it out sounds good ;-)

MrsJoshDun · 05/02/2018 22:52

Welcome LJ, Fancy and NoFilter! 😊

LJ that bodyweight exercise looks really good. I would recommend yoga like the others have, but also keep up the bodyweight stuff like pushups and squats to start gaining strength. I think it goes a long way to changing your body shape for the better.

Your walk every day sounds great Fancy, and with twins as well you have your work cut out! Welcome on board!

NoFilter, I would say yoga as well and maybe check out a channel like Fitness Blender for strengthening or high intensity stuff. I really enjoy them.

Day 36 yesterday I cracked open my new yoga book after going out with the family for hubby's birthday.

Was going to do something more intense tonight but I can feel a sore throat brewing and I'm prone to tonsillitis so I have played it safe with more yoga. You can never have too much yoga! 😁 Day 37/365 done!

Swam a mile and then a mini yoga session.

What do people do when they have overnight guests? Worried it would be rude to sneak off for exercise!

Lj8893 · 06/02/2018 21:09

I've been rubbish the last couple days, have been working 12 hr shifts and have a cold so feeling sorry for myself.
I did make sure I took the stairs at work (3 flights several times a day) instead of the lift though. And must say I found I am not as out of breath at the top as I was before Christmas!

Working again tomorrow so will do the same. And then on Thursday I am going to go for a walk/jog in the morning and then spinning in the evening!

Bestbees · 08/02/2018 06:58

Anyone else hanging in there?

Yoga class yesterday and got my feet on the floor in down dog for the first time ever!

MrsJoshDun · 08/02/2018 07:39

Cycled 4 miles on Tuesday.
Did a Zumba class yesterday (hated Zumba, never again).

Bestbees · 08/02/2018 21:50

Powerhoop class. I will be bruised tomorrow!

MrsJoshDun · 08/02/2018 21:58

Core class, combat class and aqua circuits today.

Submariner · 08/02/2018 22:58

Still here Best just about!

Flagging a bit this week as me and DS have all sorts of bugs and just generally shattered. But yoga yesterday and abs today. Must do something more strenuous tomorrow! Day 38 and 39/365 done!

Bestbees · 12/02/2018 07:51

Sunda yoga.

Today i am babysitting tonight so will do some abs and yoga work outs.

Anyone else still here?

Bestbees · 13/02/2018 08:54

Going to keep posting even if it is just me for keeping record.

If anyone has fallen off the train, hope back on with me. Maybe rethink goals?

Did a 10minute abs and 10 minute yoga video this morning. Was plannong on a NT day of den building but weather may not allow that!

Submariner · 13/02/2018 22:40

Sorry to abandon you Best, I'm still in it. Been feeling really rotten so not much to update but just been steadily doing 15 mins of yoga a day until I'm back on track. I agree though, of anyone's missed a bit do hop back in where you are!

Submariner · 14/02/2018 06:04

Come on in Tsoto! As I said personally I'm a bit quiet at the moment but you're very welcome! I promise I shall be more chatty once illness/work etc settles down.

Friday, spin and pump.
Sat. Park run.
Sun. Core class and weights.
Mon. 6k run and weights
Tues. 4 mile bike ride

Have lost 3kg over last 3 weeks and really think stepping up the exercise has helped.

Bestbees · 14/02/2018 06:49

Hurray!

Glad to see you are around sub.

Mrjosh well done on the kg loss.

Welcome tsoto.

Today i am going to powerhoop. Abs hurting from yesterdays youtube video!

Tsotofamily · 14/02/2018 09:28

Thanks Sub and Best.

Taking 2 of mine to watch wicked today so not sure if i will get any exercise in apart from walking around from car park to hipperdrom and back again. Need to walk the dogs when I get back tho if its not raining. So fingers crossed my first day starts well

Bestbees · 14/02/2018 12:15

Tsoto what i am doing is accepting even a 10 minute abs video or something as counting. So now i am squeezing in tiby bits here and there. For eg my twins are playing in the garden so might quickly do some stretching! It all counts and the moore you squeeze in the more motivated you get!

Tsotofamily · 14/02/2018 21:07

No exercise really done today. Only walking for a total of 20-25 mins.
Got home later than I thought, and it was raining so didnt take dogs out. Was going to do an exercise DVD but ds wanted me to sit and watch a film with him.
Weather's looking better here tomo so will take dogs out for an hour at least

Tsotofamily · 14/02/2018 21:08

Wow twins how old are they?

Bestbees · 14/02/2018 21:18

They are four and now so easy compared to when they were little!

Powerhoop was cancelled so just some yoga today.
Lets hope for better weather for you tomo tsoto!

Submariner · 15/02/2018 07:11

Well done MrsJosh! Sounds like your hard work is paying off!

I'm the same as Best, I count anything where the intention was there. Like this week I've been ill and work has been crazy, so most days have just been a few sit-ups and a plank, or 15 mins of (really low-key!) yoga. It all comes back round again, but not breaking the streak almost forces you to just squeeze 10 mins in when you can.

Think I'm getting my mojo back. Yesterday and today started my day off with my app so it's not looming by bedtime! Can't remember what days we are on, but will work it out later!!
