The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Welcome needastrongone. Please do join us- just add your miles to the running total for the month. Lot of different runners on here doing both road and off road, and canicross too. I'm at the end of the season now so starting to wind down the mileage as it's getting too hot for long runs (I live in HK).

Haven't updated for ages- sorry! My mum was here for 10 days and then we went on holiday for 9 days (where I did no exercise unless you count banging the ice tray on the counter to get the ice out for my dark & stormies).

I have 21 to add from 4 runs since my last update

A nice steady run and chat with a friend and the buggy Smile

11 miles tonight, average pace 8.41 as half was off road. Club run plus a few with friends before.

Take it you are doing London then emummy? How exciting, is it your first? I've done it twice, last one in 2009, pre injury. Good luck!

4.5 to add, easy paced to shake out the legs, 9.05mm

Yes, first one need so very excited!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/04/2017 10:00

Welcome needastrongone!

Ooooo so exciting! I will be there emummy, may see you and never know. I'm going with my neighbour as her fiancé is running and she's terrified of London. Will be somewhere around tower bridge, the bit you do twice so we don't get too bored Wink

Yesterday's usual Friday run to add 217.5

Well cinnamon if you see a 6ft tall runner with glasses and a black Run Mummy Run cap, that's me! Hope you have a good day out.

MyBlackCat · 21/04/2017 19:46

Good luck emummy enjoy your lap of honour around London. I've entered the ballot 5 times with no luck so far, I'd love to run London one day.

Steady buggy run this afternoon.

Good luck emummy !!! Didn't know you were so tall. In my head you're short with black curly hair- ha ha. For no reason at all I might add.

14.3 to add- horrifically humid run yesterday which utterly sapped my will to live and a much better one this morning.

nodramaforthellama · 23/04/2017 22:13

Hello can I join?

Ran Brighton marathon a couple of weeks ago, doing MK at the weekend and I hate short distance and trail!

cinnamongreyhound · 23/04/2017 22:42

Of course you can nodramaforthellama! You hate trail Shock

OP posts:
nodramaforthellama · 24/04/2017 08:15

Yes! So my challenge at the moment is to conquer shorter distance and trail.. so I did a 10K trail run last week.. was bloody miserable! I like roads in the countryside though, that makes me happy!

needastrongone · 24/04/2017 08:28

I'm a massive fan of all types of running to be honest, some days I love to go on the trail, sometimes I prefer road, if I fancy a blast I go to the track. Even started enjoying cross training, which I never did.

Welcome Drama.

Well done Emummy, fab achievement.

Adding my mileage for the weekend. I didn't go long for once so only 12 to add on.

286.75

Cantseethewoods · 24/04/2017 15:11

Well done emummy. great time. Hope you enjoyed it.

Just adding a cheeky 5 from this evening. Tried a new Torch- a Lupine- as my friend is selling one she got as a race prize. V impressed. As bright as my Ay-Up but much lighter.

10 long, boring and relentless kilometres on the treadmill due to torrential rain.

Also I stupidly entered this 70km trail race that I did 2 years ago and am still slightly emotionally scarred from. Why? Why? Why?

ClimbingPenguin · 26/04/2017 16:46

Well I'm glad the cumulative total has been cleared up 😂

I did my first 17 mile run on Saturday (but very slow as went with some else). Been travelling with work since so missed a few.

Planning on re running it this weekend.

can't do mental maths today
