The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Well done bibble, hope your legs have recovered!
What a morning! Parked in forest and wished I hadn't a scar glided cross the ice! Luckily no one else there. Run was part lovely runnable trail part skating, required several emergency stops in bushes! Then took 10 minutes to get out of car park, driving across grass & sliding backwards lots! Shower, coffee and rest needed. Did I mention the lashing rain?!

emummy the car sliding sounds scary! Well done for actually running in those conditions.

I went out last night, wasn’t too bad but wet leaves almost got me a couple of times.

Oh no emummy, third time lucky, hopefully!! We had -5C and the club time trial was cancelled but although the ground was hard in the forest it wasn’t slippery thankfully!

parkrun and there and back Saturday and usual week day route yesterday 124

An ice free run! Hurray! BBC weather said it was 6 degrees, actually it was only 2 but the ice was gone. Nice sunny trot through forest

Lovely sunny run, legs felt good which is unusual the day after bootcamp! Sleeping better these days so maybe that's helping.

Early morning run today, helping walk ds & his class to church this morning, so out & back before sunrise. Cold and frosty, good fun.

Well done Sorelip, treadmill miles are tough!
Very mild run in forest today, not used to the heat! 950 ft of climb, glad I had a drink with me today. Dog got very wet and muddy, hurray for new dog drying coat, she's all wrapped up and no mud on the carpet!
Merry Christmas all

Boxing Day fun run completed! Great fun, nice relaxed event; £2 entry and soup at the finish - very welcome as it's a bit nippy today. Managed a minute faster than last time and wasn't overtaken by anyone in fancy dress, hurray! And the soup was lovely! Home for a rest now

Went out today to try to make up for the Christmas excess... pretty slow and felt heavy but was great to get outside and away from the TV

Went out in the driving rain last night, and rewarded myself with pizza and a hot bath with a lovely Lush bath bomb.

Was gorgeous out there this morning, managed to go an hour later than usual Thursday as my early minded children didn’t come so it was light when we finished! Was a big group today, 7 people and 4 dogs Smile 199.6

My friend and her hubby invited me out for a run and I couldn’t say no so a few more miles to add for 2017! 203.7

A chilly -5 this morning for a head torch run in the woods. Nearly came a cropper on a slippy bit, grabbed a fence to stay upright and managed to just miss grabbing the barbed wire bit! Had to stop for a minute I got such a fright and my lovely dog came over to rub against me and make me feel better. Finished in one piece!

cinnamongreyhound · 29/12/2017 11:52

It was 1C here emummy and raining but the if hadn’t melted so we were running on frozen ground with a layer of water, some bits were a bit slippery to say the least!

Sorelip · 29/12/2017 14:20

Good Lord emummy, it's lucky you missed that barbed wire!

4 on the treadmill today, on the hills setting. I really felt it in my thighs and arse.

After an aborted parkrun a couple of weeks ago I’ve been unable to run due to a sore knee Sad I’ve diagnosed myself with runners knee after a google search and doing some exercises, hope to be back running soon.
