The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Slower run tonight, could feel my legs but not too stiff from yesterday's speed fest! Rest day tomorrow 73

Mixture of threshold & intervals this morning, not done that before. Felt strong, especially once I turned around out of the wind!

Urgh the WIND emummy I was actually chilly running along the high sections today brrr. And you're right it makes it so much harder!

I ran in the evening for the first time in I don't know how long this evening - I can confirm I prefer running in the morning. I tried a new route which was half in backroads I've never run before (in fact I got DH to drive us home via one if them last week as a recce).
Hilly.

8.5 miles under my belt though, missed bedtime (high five) and scarfed a donut. Happy days.

Wow chilly morning!! Beautiful though and dogs filthy with all the dew and then running on the forest paths.

8.5 miles is definitely worth a doughnut ThursdayLastWeek! I can't wait for Easter Sunday to enjoy some cake!

A buggy run in the afternoon sunshine, but I pulled my glute playing netball this evening, a real pain in the bum Envy

Hope your glute is better MyBlackCat!
Good tempo run this morning in gorgeous sunshine. Weird cramp afterwards though - was bending over doing slow toe touch - not really that beat my toes!- when I got cramp in an abdominal muscle. Was absolute agony, had to get down on my hands & knees in the garden! It's still achy now, never had this before. Thought my core was ok, maybe get some more planks in!

MyBlackCat · 08/04/2017 19:42

Get those planks done emummy Grin my glute is slowly improving, I did a very very steady parkrun today in the sunshine. Debating whether to go out tomorrow, I shouldn't really but I might Wink

I really want to run tomorrow too MyBlackCat, ds3 is 2 Monday and we've got mine and dh's family round tomorrow so I need to be getting sorted but it would be good to wear the dogs out so they're not too annoying, will try to persuade dh in the morning!

parkrun this morning, best time this year, woo hoo! 105.6

Steady hilly run this morning; legs tired, headphones ran out of charge after 3 miles, forgot to put on Vaseline and forgot to tape up my ankles! So not the best run ever! Survived though and new route so more interesting.

MyBlackCat · 09/04/2017 19:49

Well I ran - probably shouldn't have but won't run for the next two days so the glute will get some rest. Took the buggy and my new trainers out - I had the baby and wore my trainers, I didn't take them in the buggy Grin

I ran with the dogs too, they didn't make it the easiest! Glorious day though! 126.1

Do you mind if I join in?

Did a half marathon last Sunday (discovered I don't run well in heat). Normally I stop running over the summer, but I'm on relatively good form so decided to sign up to my first full marathon end of October but need motivation to keep myself ticking over for a few months.

emummy · 14/04/2017 10:22

Welcome Climbing! Good luck with training. Quite looking forward to some warmer weather to run in now!
Steady run this morning, nice & relaxing

Parkrun today, haven't run all week as I strained my glute but feeling much better now so hopefully I can get out more this week.

ClimbingPenguin · 17/04/2017 18:25

Ive only done 3 mile runs this week. Tomorrow need to get my mojo back.

The marathon is now all signed up for and I've brought a water bag wotsit.

What's all the numbers for? It that a running total from a set date?

emummy · 17/04/2017 19:01

It's the running total for the month so you can add the miles you do.
Got a bruise over my Achilles from ice skating last week so have rested it, felling better now so will try a short run on Wednesday.

MyBlackCat · 17/04/2017 19:25

I tried to run a bit slower today but was unsuccessful Confused

Usual Thursday morning run, parkrun tourism and canicross run tonight. Been away with terrible signal! 160.8

Short easy run, as worried before as hips felt tight but they have loosened off so it felt great!

ClimbingPenguin · 18/04/2017 20:53

Slightly scared of how big those numbers are Shock

Did a pb on the 7km course at work this lunchtime though Smile thankfully it's not too hot yet 😂

cinnamongreyhound · 18/04/2017 23:05

Canicross run with new dog and big dog (loaned little dog to someone else) and I ran my third mile on 7:59 I'm very excited!!! Dog assisted of course!
Very steady run tonight with my friend who's been injured and a couple from my canicross club. Got an arsey post on fb from canicross club chair as someone asked for company on a run so I said we were running and he was welcome to join us Angry

climbingPenguin its cumulative for the thread not personal Grin

Anyone mind if I join in? Back now from injury that kept me out for a very long time (years) but been running 30 miles a week for a few months now and back in the groove.

Tonight is running club, first time it's been light enough to get an off road route in. A few of us often meet earlier and get a few easy extra miles in to make it 10 or so.

Training wise I will focus on a marathon again next year (Manchester) and we are going to run the Three Peaks in May, so lots of very steady off road trail miles constituting training at the minute.
