Well done Boris, good work!

BorisTrumpsHair · 26/09/2017 10:48

oooh my legs were so stiff and heavy this morning - so I walked.

Marvellousmarg · 26/09/2017 11:26

26.2 miles to add from Sunday at the Loch Ness marathon!

I did it 😀 I'm so happy.

Wee rest week or two now for me.

Good luck to everyone for their upcoming races

Well done Blackcat. Best of luck for Peterborough.

Enjoy your taper 😀.

emummy · 26/09/2017 12:09

Well done marg! I was wondering how you got on. Did you enjoy it? Well deserved rest time now!

MyBlackCat · 26/09/2017 14:43

Well done marg hope you enjoyed it

Short buggy recovery run today - legs still feel tired Shock

BorisTrumpsHair · 26/09/2017 14:46

fabulous Marg!

Marvellousmarg · 26/09/2017 14:47

If I'm honest, it was tough. I enjoyed parts of it!

I would do it again and recommend it to others. It's a life changing race.
The atmosphere, the scenery was amazing and camaraderie was fab. Great support and it's a well run event.

However,

The hill between 18-21 miles was HELL and I hill trained and I thought I was well prepared.

It's a tough one for a first time marathoner but I'm glad I chose this one

Last few miles were tough too. But I did it 😀

Marvellousmarg · 26/09/2017 20:21

Have I used the word "tough" enough?😂

MyBlackCat · 27/09/2017 20:06

Was it tough marg? 😂😂😂

Some speedy intervals today - felt good 😊

My running to work routine is all change now as DC are in a new school.
Still I'm getting in 2 miles each morning. Lovely and wet this morning but fun.

emummy · 29/09/2017 13:14

That sounds pretty good Boris. Very wet here too, so school running club was indoors. Then off to woods for very muddy run with dog - think she had more fun than me! Felt like was running in concrete shoes! Never mind, it's done!

Spot of parkrun tourism, 29:09 not bad considering congested first lap 365.4

So I've spent this month being mildly ill, which meant I only did one of my long runs. Marathon is only three weeks away, so resigned to plodding along now rather than racing. Nearly 60 miles to add

424.6

MyBlackCat · 30/09/2017 19:31

Buggy run yesterday that turned into a walk after a puncture and parkrun with the buggy today.

Half marathon next week and starting to doubt myself and the training Sad

Need to have a couple of good runs this week.

climbing sorry you've been ill, it maybe a blessing and stopped you over doing it in training??

432.5

emummy · 30/09/2017 21:45

Sorry you've been unwell climbing. I hope you can still manage to enjoy your marathon experience while plodding.
MyBlackCat you are going to be great at your half! You are speedy anyway and all that toughbuggy running will stand you in good stead. We believe in you!

emummy · 01/10/2017 09:21

Chilly early run in the woods, lovely misty scenes and 1 degree! Home now, heading for hot shower & only ds,9, is awake!

437.7

MyBlackCat · 01/10/2017 15:08

New month so we reset to zero right?

emummy I'll add on your 5.2 along with my 6.4 which was 40 mins easy and 20 mins race pace but I went a bit too quick - it was closer to 5km pace rather than half marathon pace 😱

emummy · 01/10/2017 15:46

Thank you! Forgot it was October!

BorisTrumpsHair · 01/10/2017 21:32

No run this weekend but I did dance for 4 hours last night at a party, and swing a pick axe around today digging up ground to plant bulbs.

And I was amazed with both activities how strong my body is getting from the running (newbie as I started c25k in June).

Looking forward to my run tomorrow morning.

emummy · 03/10/2017 10:20

Good stuff Boris, it's nice to notice a difference isn't it?
Nice woodland run in the sunshine - think I prefer the rain, there were loads of people & dogs around! Good thing I'm not running for pace at the moment!

15.1

BorisTrumpsHair · 03/10/2017 10:38

Yes it really is - I'm starting to notice the difference - changes in my body now.

Run to school/work x 2. I'd love a woodland run! I am queen of the city streets. Grin
