The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Well done whowouldfardelsbear! Thank you for your experience.

Thank you all so much! It's been a tough few days but I'm managing to get on with life day to day. I ran this morning with a friend but I think I'm a way off going on my own. What a horribly hot few days it's been, my poor dogs are very unhappy!!

Much nicer running in cooler temperatures- really enjoyed my run today.

I've got a 10 mile trail race on Sunday, I haven't run that far since Feb last year Shock why did I think entering this would be a good idea??

Hot hilly run this morning, tired legs!
Good luck with that trail race MyBlackCat!

stilllearnin · 24/06/2017 14:10

Hi very speedy Cornish holiday post while I have wifi. 16.5 to add. Sorry not to chat. I hope we're all ok.

356.5 by my maths Smile

MyBlackCat · 24/06/2017 19:30

Today's parkrun which I got carried away at after planning to take it easy - my best time by far post baby and only 8sec off all time PB Smile

Weekend in Aviemore for nephew's birthday & today is my birthday! So best start to the day with a lovely run through Rothiemurcus forest and Loch Morlich.

Today's 10 mile trail race, lots of surface changes and very undulating but really enjoyed it and managed to keep a consistent pace. Finished just under 90mins which I was very pleased with Smile

Brilliant work on the parkrun and race MyBlackCat!

Tried to run a mile round the track with my club, time trial kind of thing but didn't even make one lap before I was crying Angry
Ran with a friend and doggies today which was nice so 6 to add 384.1

Not much running for this, but did too much other stuff, I need to calm it down this week (2 days cycling to work, 2 nights climbing, one 21 mile walk, 1 outdoor gym)

Running wide consisted of a 800m, a 1500m race, 3 minutes intervals at club and an abandoned part way through 14 mile run. I've not learnt the hard way to carry a phone as I was 7 miles from home when something went funny in my leg. It was a long, slow and cold (as it was at night) walk/jog home.

16.5 in total

Haha love the typo, I've NOW learnt (or maybe not ad free all...)😂

emummy · 27/06/2017 10:26

Oh dear Climbing! Hope your leg has recovered.
Very soggy track session this morning. The fact that the track is grass also did not help - my feet are very very wet!

The rain arrived here at midday so he a dry run last night but looking wet for my run tomorrow morning. Lovely run last night 409

I got caught in the rain ☔️ but it wasn't too bad - four recovery miles with the buggy

413

ClimbingPenguin · 27/06/2017 21:58

Another drizzly recovery 4 miles. At that point my leg was a bit off. Narrowed it down to my right glute area. So will take it easy for the next week and do lots of stretches.

Some resistance training through serious puddles this morning! That's what happens when it's been raining solidly for 18hrs and is still pouring, actually pretty good fun! 421

Buggy run this afternoon to get the boy to nap 😴

425

emummy · 29/06/2017 10:03

Another soggy run. Coming down with a cold; it's not too bad yet but it's the cold that has put dh and dd1 in bed this week so not feeling optimistic! So run was tough, happy to get it done

cinnamongreyhound · 29/06/2017 16:02

Hopefully you're super fit body will survive better emummy Grin

Usual Thursday morning run, not raining but very uneven ground from all the heavy rain in the forest and wet grass so still had wet feet. Started really slowly but finished really well! 432

Hello all, I have little charge and dodgy wifi. 7.7 Cornish miles. Way too windy today (I'm on holiday, right?)

439.7

AuntieStella · 30/06/2017 18:12

I had a nasty little summer cold, which knocked me back for a bit.

But I've more or less kept going, including taking 3 secs off my Parkrun PB last weekend

461.49

MyBlackCat · 30/06/2017 19:28

Another 4 steady miles with the buggy, I've got the sniffles but think it's just hay fever 🤒

465.5

cinnamongreyhound · 01/07/2017 20:55

Well done AuntieStella!

Dh is really struggling today MyBlackCat, we went to the beach and soon after we got on the beach he improved loads!!

Ran a 10k today, said it was a trail one but at least 60% was on paths. Hot, hills and then windy in parts. But I didn't walk and I didn't cry and I ran alone so I was pretty pleased with 1:04:45, my third slowest 10k ever! 6.2

MyBlackCat · 01/07/2017 21:21

Parkrun and some extra before and after, still suffering with hay fever - I need to find a beach!!

Can't decide whether to enter a half marathon in mid August or not 🤔
