The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Good luck tomorrow emummy

mouton certainly sounds possible.
I added a minute last time due to period issues

My husband is also away most of this week so planned a couple of short lunchtime runs.

Was 3000m at the track with warm up and cool down came in at 3 miles. I was tantalisingly close to 7 min miles (7:04). My goal is try and take that pace and extend it to 5km. A long way to go yet.

Thank you Climbing.
Great track work, very speedy!

moutonfou · 07/06/2017 17:52

Very windy lunchtime run and still recovering from 10k - not my best.

Feel I've got the hang of this now - when I first came on I thought the numbers were each individual's total after only 5 days of June! Shock

MyBlackCat · 07/06/2017 20:36

Buggy run this afternoon- almost got blown away Shock

IsThatYouPaul · 07/06/2017 20:50

A soggy 5k. I need a hot chocolate. Or whiskey. Or both.

It's a beautiful evening up here now, perfect for running but am so tired I just want to collapse. Hope you are warmer now IsThatYouPaul!

IsThatYouPaul · 07/06/2017 21:26

Thanks emummy ! Warming up nicely Brew

ClimbingPenguin · 07/06/2017 23:04

2 miles within circuits at lunch and managed to bag a last minute babysitter to play badminton (son of someone who goes). Now playing rounders tomorrow so unlikely to run until the long slow run at the weekend. Also gearing up for a cycle to work on Friday, will be good to give my legs a rest as having shin and knee niggles actually.

MyBlackCat · 08/06/2017 20:31

Buggy run along a canal tow path today, a tree had blown over blocking the path so had to turn back and run further in the opposite direction. That's three days in a row and my legs feel it - 25 miles in total this week Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 08/06/2017 22:36

Argh!!! I didn't post for a couple of days and you've all chatted so much I haven't had chance to read back. Will add my miles from the last few days and read back when I get chance! 156.9

Just wrote a long post and lost it, grrr! 11.4 to add for this week.

168.3

ClimbingPenguin · 10/06/2017 18:33

What was supposed to be 12 miles ended up at 14.4 (after DD's 2 km and somehow finished over a mile short from my car on the long run.

A whole day climbing tomorrow, hence the day early long run.

MyBlackCat · 10/06/2017 20:14

Parkrun and an attempt at a warm up beforehand

IsThatYouPaul · 11/06/2017 07:54

A treadmill run on Friday, and yesterday's parkrun for me.

I reckon there should be a few extra metres for all the puddles/swamps we had to go round and detours through trees. Fun though.

Whowouldfardelsbear · 11/06/2017 10:25

Oops forgot i had rejoined this and haven't been posting! So since my last post I've done a 9.31km, a 3.88km, a 5.13km and just now a 14.33km so that is . . . 20.29 miles.

Training for the hm next Sunday going well. Me and my running buddy drove down to the Wellington waterfront this evening and did a 14km out and back along the route. Made a nice change and a good evening for running.

Sounds lovely Whowould!
Very achy knee/hamstrings this week so first run today since Tuesday. And in the night I got cramp in my calf that has left the calf sore. So went out this afternoon covered in tape. Felt ok but just did 3 miles.

216.39

stilllearnin · 12/06/2017 15:02

Hello I have 19.9 to add from the last week.

cinnamongreyhound · 12/06/2017 17:22

Hope the ache is nothing serious emummy!

Good to see you getting the miles up again stilllearnin!

A fabulously fun but slooooow parkrun to add 239.39

I missed my long run yesterday as legs felt dead, wasn't planning to run today but the boy had a meltdown and refused to sleep despite being exhausted, so I took him out for 40 mins in the buggy and he slept!!

IsThatYouPaul · 12/06/2017 21:36

Quickly adding tonight's run. Wasn't really in the mood but did it anyway before I could convince myself otherwise.

stilllearnin · 13/06/2017 06:55

Thanks cinnamon. I'm faithfully following a HM training plan so feeling good. Dd rang me last week to say she was feeling suicidal but I spent the evening with her and no actual attempt so that's an improvement. Let myself have a little fantasy that she might spend more time with me and lo and behold her dad is giving her a dream room makeover Hmm.

Fell over while running really hurt my hand and I think I'm on my way to losing a toenail Grin

Whowouldfardelsbear · 13/06/2017 11:18

I've still got a black toenail from the hm i did in May, so pretty sure i am going to lose it altogether following my hm on Sunday!

A 3.2 from me tonight

251.2

emummy · 13/06/2017 11:58

Track session today, nice sunny day

254.7

ClimbingPenguin · 13/06/2017 23:08

6 mile recce of leg of a relay race on Sunday. Over 350m of ascent😮

Also cycled the 8 miles to work and back. Slightly scared of sitting down during tomorrow's attempt ( I've only cycled one in the last four years)

260.7

ClimbingPenguin · 13/06/2017 23:09
