The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Very hot and muggy run tonight (well, compared to recent U.K. Temps), dogs didn't cope well Sad 257.3

I haven't been able to post for days Angry
Lovely run yesterday morning we had 1 on a bike, 5 runners and 3 dogs in our little group! 265.3

Tried posting yesterday but website threw a wobbly at me.

Did a recovery 3 miles on Tuesday. Was pleased with that as it's tricky fitting them into my work trips (going to Ireland two days a week every two weeks atm).

Then went to a running club for the first time yesterday plus did circuits at lunchtime too. 10.5 in total

Wow climbing, you've been busy!
Up early for a wee run before a busy day. Very wet, that lovely fine drizzle that soaks you to the skin.

Yesterday's buggy run and this morning's parkrun which felt tough - got a 10k next week which I am now not feeling optimistic about Confused

Lovely 5k around the zoo last night and I managed 27:05, fastest in a long time!
Ds2 ran the kids race 1.6km, he was so nervous before but still did it. His first ever race at 6yo and is still wearing his medal Grin 289.1

Brilliant cinnamon, well done to you & ds2

Easy run this morning in beautiful sunshine. Didn't really enjoy it, legs were aching from early on. But it's done and I feel better now!

Long steady run - painfully slow trying to keep HR down but did average 145 bpm

Very tough, hilly, muddy, hot 10k Sunday. Gorgeous countryside but my goodness I had to work hard not to just give up! Great medal but rubbish time 311.5

Not much running actually

Have been climbing, done a track lunch session with a timed 800 m and 100 m, rounders game and a badminton game. Tomorrow will most likely be circuits followed by climbing (unless partner is still ill in which case I'll fit some actual running in).

Impressed with those running in my the heat.

ClimbingPenguin · 24/05/2017 22:46

Oh I lied, I did squeeze in a 5km ish run after the track events.

ClimbingPenguin · 24/05/2017 22:46

Crap (I mean miles not km)

emummy · 25/05/2017 10:24

Got up early to avoid the heat. Session of 400m repeats on local grass track.

Not as cool as I hoped this morning but much better than Tuesday night 334

Hello I am still here (dd took another OD) so it has been hard going. She is hopefully going to get some more support (you would hope wouldn't you). Anyway, it was hot today and so a sensible 2.5 miles - hoping for further in the shade of the forest tomorrow.

emummy · 25/05/2017 16:42

Really sorry to hear that still. I hope she gets more support, mental health services are sadly lacking. Well done for getting out in the heat

ClimbingPenguin · 25/05/2017 20:44

That's great that you got out and we're sensible still

Another 5 ish miles as my climbing partner was indeed still too injured to climb. This was my second session at the club and apparently I'm stronger on the hills. It was 10 reps. Thankfully had cooled off a bit. Managed the circuits/outdoor gym too but no chance of running now until Monday as it's the scout county camp.

Enjoy camp penguin.

I couldn't sleep so got up and ran 5 miles before the sun got too much.

Hot & sweaty run this morning! Legs didn't want to cooperate with a tempo pace but got 2 out of the planned 3 done at that pace before I gave in!

cinnamongreyhound · 27/05/2017 22:35

Lovely parkrun this morning 355.6
