I hope you can find me! I went to post in the old thread but it had reached its limit.

Here's to an energetic, fit, healthy, and strong summer ahead.

Am soooo broken this morning. Let this be a lesson to us all - 2x hc22 resistance workouts = ache all over.
Am trying to think of an insanity workout which isn't too horrific to do later as at least it has a long stretch bit in it which might help......

yumyumpoppycat · 14/07/2016 20:39

Purple I bet you look fab, I strongly doubt anyone will ever accuse me of that! I saw a documentary on netflix called fittest in the world, with cross fit people...now some of those women were really muscley, might put it into perspective for your dh Grin It was quite weird they prob werent on steroids but eating really healthily so their faces were often very feminine.

Glad its not just me re Chaleans boots Grin

Roastie defo get it checked out. I got it a tiny bit and just put it down to low blood pressure but it doesnt happen often at all. Could be mineral related because you are eating lowish carb so less salt in your food?

Purpleraindeer · 14/07/2016 21:36

I saw that doc too poppy. Omg. They were super impressively fit but the girls looked so strange!
Did Friday fight cardio challenge today. Got all the way thru without maxing and kept pace with shaun t. .
And watched a doc on clean eating on bbc3 (yes, that's embarrassing) which was an eye opener. I particularly enjoyed hearing a 'nutritionist' try to explain why eating only alkaline foods meant that your body wasn't fighting the acidity and that was healthier. There are some lunatics on the Internet. Hmm

Boobz · 15/07/2016 08:31

Hello hello! Apologies for the radio silence! Have been in France for 10 days and then travelling with work for 5 and only just back to Rome.

Managed to lose 3kg since Sunday having stepped on the scales coming back from cheese-eating in Avignon, mainly by doing double insanity, Ab ripper x and not eating very much. Back in the 55s (kg) but still want to get a couple more off back next Thursday - first day of the fesitval.

I have abs! And can fit in my skinny jeans. It feels like the post-germany-fasting clinic era!

Will come back and read everyone's post later today when I have time - so much life admin to catch up on right now! But first, Max Interval Circuits and Ab Ripper X!

Purpleraindeer · 15/07/2016 09:53

Nice to see you back boobz. Question for everyone - where do you buy bikinis/swimming costumes. Mine is now at least 5yrs (!) old and much too baggy and I have no idea where I should look

Boobz · 15/07/2016 10:02

I got mine from Ted Baker - this one:

Ted Baker in Rose gold/pink

onlywhenyouleave · 15/07/2016 10:37

purple I don't think there is such a thing as too muscly unless you are a body builder ! Ignore your DH Grin

Boobz welcome back Smile Hope your life settles down a bit soon and well done with the skinny jeans Smile

Re swimming costumes, I am on an eternal quest to find a decent one. I don't do bikinis anymore due to my size (maybe one day...) but M&S do have some reasonable swimming costumes in which have tummy control panels. I have just ordered a couple of costumes that look like tankinis from Next in the sale so I am hoping they look ok but not sure if they are going to exaggerate my tummy or flatter it Confused

5 weeks to go till my holiday - yay Grin Had a day off yesterday as it was DS1's birthday and I knew he would be up early to open his presents which would interfere in my early morning exercise then we were busy last night. Did Rip'T circuit this morning but we had a takeaway last night and I had a big kebab and garlic bread which was still sitting in my stomach this morning so I daren't do too much jumping as I felt I was going to barf Grin

I put on a pair of trousers for work this morning - when I started the 16:8 diet in April, I could not fasten them up and they were stretched round my thighs etc - I was able to start wearing them about a month ago but I noticed this morning that they actually look too baggy round my thighs and bum and actually aren't very flattering any more as they just look too big. Times like this I wish I had actually weighed myself at the start to get an idea of how much weight I have lost! I am still significantly overweight but it scares me just how big I must have been...I just never really saw it in the mirror Sad

And still nobody has noticed Grin It is a running joke between me and DH now as we have both lost significant weight since April and the only people that have noticed was my hairdresser (me) and an acquaintance of DH's (who also happens to be a hairdresser).

RoastieToastieReastie · 15/07/2016 18:36

Thanks for the comments, I'm a bit Confused as I assumed it was normal to feel dizzy etc as it happens so much. I'm off on hols but will make an appointment with GP when I come back.

Boobz good to hear from you, you sound super busy but well done on doubling up insanity. Amazing. I struggle through one workout let alone two.bwell done on the skinny clothes.

Only, it will happen, people will notice! It took over two stone loss before anyone noticed for me but then everyone commented all the time, it was great! Love those leggings.

Swimming costume wise I have one from sainsburys and it's fine.

All packed for holiday and taking with me hc22, insanity, combat, and piyo. Not taking any weights but I am taking yoga mat and hoping to get 4 workouts in over the week if all goes to plan.

Have caught on everyone's news - good to hear everyone is keeping on keeping on. I like a nice toned (even muscly) arm - I think it really makes you look awesome in sleeveless dresses. Mine are starting to get toned again after all the gazillions of press ups I have done since re-starting Insanity post Goliaz (when was that?? About 6 weeks ago I think?)

I feel like you have thrown down the gauntlet Purple with Pure Cardio - am going to do that one tomorrow and see how far I get before I have to take a break...

And then I have to do the fit test on Wednesday to see if I can match your scores upthread!

Boobz · 15/07/2016 21:30

Have a nice holiday Roastie!

Boobz · 16/07/2016 10:37

So it's strange how having a goal/competitive element as it really does push you further. I would have definitely stopped for some water/a breather before the frog jumps in Pure Cardio but because I knew that's where I had to get to, to match purple. So I got that far, and then luckily it's the power strike after that so that's a relatively easier one which I got through, but then had to take a breather after that on mountain climbers...

But I like the goal of trying to do the whole thing without stopping so that is a new goal... I can't do the push jacks at the end for a whole minute no matter how fit I get, so that will always be the point I'd have to stop anyway!

Lost another 0.5kg since yesterday so on my way to the 54s! Just shows how important calorie intake is to losing weight vs. exercise...

Happy weekend all!

Purpleraindeer · 17/07/2016 08:34

Glad I provided some competitive inspiration boobz. I know what you mean - it's good to have something to aim for. I like max30 for that as I remember how far I get each time and try to push for longer. I did pure cardio yesterday too and managed to get thru all the frog jumps as you had said you'd done it. Had to stop before that tho as needed to sort out iPad for dd so can't claim to have got the whole way thru yet.

Well done on the hardcore insanity/diet schedule boobz.

Only - I bet lots of people have noticed your weight loss but don't know whether they should comment in case it embarrasses you. Also there is a weird thing where if you loose weight it makes others more conscious of their weight and they then don't want to acknowledge that. I'm really pleased it's going well tho - sounds like you'll be in need of some new clothes soon! Smile

Now can't find a bikini because everywhere seems to have sold out. Angry

Might try max sports training later. Eek. Or something less hardcore. Don't know.

RoastieToastieReastie · 17/07/2016 18:21

Purple go hardcore!! You won't regret it afterwards.

Boobz when you double up insanity do you do one straight after the other or do them at separate times in the same day? I ask because I could never do then back to back (especially the month two workouts) but I think doing two in one day would be possible if I really pushed myself.

On holiday here. No workout yesterday as travelling but this morning did combat live and nailed it. Dripping in sweat :) . Not sure if I'll manage a workout tomorrow as off exploring and weather forecast is so hit I'm not sure I'll cope with one. I'll aim for a piyo or core workout to at least manage something.

Boobz · 17/07/2016 19:48

Not back to back no - one in the morning and one in the evening.

Purpleraindeer · 17/07/2016 20:17

Did max sports training. Found it a bit strange - really long intervals and then long breaks. I found myself getting a bit impatient. I def prefer max plyo and max interval circuits to that but nice to have a change. I did enjoy the gymnastics bit with the bronco jumps tho. It was roasting here today roastie (south east) so I was pretty revoltingly sweaty at the end of my workout too.

Boobz · 18/07/2016 07:45

Yes it is a bit stop/starty, but like you say, it's nice to do something different, and I am always very sweaty after that work out too.

Packers coming to do the survey today at 9am so can't work out until lunchtime. Really is count down time!

And only 3 days until festival time...

Still not sold our house...

onlywhenyouleave · 18/07/2016 10:18

Sorry to post and run but I have got an email today offering a free trial today for Country Heat. Not my thing but if anyone does fancy trying it today, send me a PM with your email and I will forward it to you Smile

onlywhenyouleave · 18/07/2016 10:18

Oh, you have to do the workout today Smile

DoctoraNova · 18/07/2016 14:40

Hello everyone.

I've just finished JM Shred and am (whispers) thinking about doing insanity, because I really want to get into seriously fit and think JM is just not enough.

Problem is: we don't have a DVD player. Any ideas how I could do it? Or something else I could do instead? I've read some good reviews online, and really want to push myself. Is it worth it?

onlywhenyouleave · 18/07/2016 20:35

Welcome doctor Smile would you be able to use a computer to play the workouts? Or stream the computer through your TV?

RoastieToastieReastie · 18/07/2016 20:59

Only, I got that email and clicked on the link to give it a go for fun, but the linky no worky, it was down when I tried. Maybe it's really really popular!

Hello doctor, insanity is fab and you can do the moves a bit slower or modify a bit if you need to to get through. Agree with only's ideas. I've recently got a cable which I can watch online videos through my tv via my iPod.

Still on holiday here and despite heat managed piyo upper and lower. Didn't particularly enjoy them (I've only dabbled a little on piyo as got it for Christmas but due to arm issue and the amount of push ups in it I haven't been able to do it properly, sweat is my go to piyo workout but haven't done all of them) or feel like I worked hard enough, but for a super hot day on holiday I figure better than nothing.

Hello - sorry have not been on the thread much, I got back from the weekend away forthe wedding last week and came down with what I've decided must have been the rest of that virus I had the week before - I got a 5k run in on Wednesday, then just had too much of a banging headache to do much else until Saturday!

I felt better on Saturday, but it was too hot to work out at home - so I've joined the gym again just for the air con Grin

I've already been twice - today I did 20 mins on the climbmill, 20 mins of treadmill interviews and back and biceps on the weights - in between two coats of paint in the bedroom so a productive day!

Rest day tomorrow, because it's my birthday. Cake Wine

My Beachbody coach friend in America is sending me some Shakeology samples - I've always wanted to try it!

Going to catch up on the thread now.

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/07/2016 06:41

Oh Eleanor ice also always been really interested to try it, let me know what it's like, although I imagine I wouldn't be able to have it anyway as it would have some kind of sugar or sweetner in it and I avoid both.

Purpleraindeer · 19/07/2016 08:57

Welcome doctor! I mostly do workouts from my iPad, so no DVD player shouldn't be a barrier. Insanity is awesome for getting you super fit.

Roastie - good effort for all the holiday workouts.

Boobz - it's getting really real re the house move. Are you moving anyway and just going to leave your house on the market?

Happy birthday Eleanor!

Was going to be a rest day for me but DH is out tonight so will prob do something. Did tabata power last night and was super happy as managed to get thru all the press ups without stopping (even the plyo ones) and got to 29mins before maxing during the 1min of power jumps. Was so hot in my house last night I needed a special sweat towel during the workout Blush. Maybe 22hc tonight. Not sure. I'm really enjoying just doing random workouts. I was supposed to have started asylum by now but might put it off a bit longer Smile

RoastieToastieReastie · 19/07/2016 18:45

Well done on the hard workout yesterday purple. I often have a special workout towel on hand (I'm very sweaty Blush ).

Hope you're enjoying your bday Eleanor.

Hc22 cardio 3 done today first thing so no excuses with the hot weather. It's so hot here! We are still on holiday but DD is ill and dh and I are hoping we don't come down with it which is putting a bit of a dampener on the holiday (especially given we have one holiday this whole year aside from a week end in center parcs which tbh I needed a holiday to recover from and our holiday last year we were all ill for the duration :( ).
