I hope you can find me! I went to post in the old thread but it had reached its limit.

Here's to an energetic, fit, healthy, and strong summer ahead.

Popped on to say good luck purple, let us know how you go and with Shaun t on your side you can do it! I will be mentally cheering you on.

Haven't been on much as not much to report and feeling quite down. Still under the weather (my head and eyes are constantly really exhausted and heavy like I've had no sleep and been on the go all day but this has been non stop for a week). I'm not sure if it's a virus or post Christmas-itis but I hope it goes away quickly. I've also been eating loads and slobbing about and I'm scared to go on the scales. Did a 4K run on Thursday in 22 minutes (I think, from memory) and today I did p90x3 lower withough weights. Trying to push through the exhaustion but just can't have any energy some days. Going to try for a run tomorrow and got step booked for Monday.

yumyumpoppycat · 07/01/2017 21:04

Well done for getting in some workouts in when unwell Roastie....I didn't exercise today because I have something that sounds similar - I felt exactly like you describe this morning with tired eyes, its kind of on and off poorliness and feeling worn out.

Purpleraindeer · 08/01/2017 07:13

Sorry to hear you're poorly roastie. Sounds like you just can't shake it off. Maybe you just need to bite the bullet and have a couple of days off?

So I survived the fan dance (that's the name of the race I did). It was mostly military or ex military who did it and very few women - less than 10 percent I think. All the training with a super heavy pack paid off as my pack felt fine. We went off super slow as I was v conservative re pacing. it was mentally a v tough experience as it was out and back so I didn't want to burn out knowing how far we still had to go. In retrospect tho I was too cautious and could have gone a bit faster and we ended up storming the second half passing loads of people. It was a fantastic high mountain experience though - not that we saw too much of it as the fog was so thick we barely saw anything all day. Got down, swore never again but 2hrs later we were both wondering whether we could do the no heavy pack running version of it.... Smile

Theromanempire · 08/01/2017 08:02

purple congratulations on completing the race - what a shame about the fog as I bet you would have got some lovely views! Go for the running version - give you something to aim for Smile

reastie maybe your body is telling you to rest for a bit? I went through a similar thing before Christmas where I was struggling to keep my eyes open at work Blush and when I got home from work and then I could sleep forever. I started taking some well woman tablets and had a quiet, restful christmas and I am the exact opposite now - full of energy, no fatigue. Feels strange as I generally battle fatigue regularly (although not as bad as it was before christmas). Anyway, normal busy routine starts tomorrow with the DC back at school, me back at work, running the DC around to activities etc so interesting to see whether the usual fatigue kicks back in again Confused

Have done BBL booty workout - I enjoyed it. Not dancey at all, just lots of squats, lunges etc that gave my legs and bum a good workout. Going to do the arm workout this morning if I can chuck the DC off the xbox Hmm

Reastie · 08/01/2017 13:47

Well don purple, I hope you're not too sore today. Sounds like you did really well and I'd say pacing yourself was a smart move so you could last the duration.

Thanks for the comments. Forced myself to a run this morning but didn't push myself too hard. Did I think 6k in about 35 mins. Got a family do this afternoon and hoping I can muster some energy for that. Thermo I can't wait until I get boundless energy! Yumy how are you feeling now?

yumyumpoppycat · 08/01/2017 21:14

Wow purple Star sounds amazing and also sounds as though all your training has really paid off.

Roastie I am feeling pretty ok today as have taken it easy this weekend - how about you?

I did a chisel endurance workout today, actually got to use the step as a step and it worked well with no movement. It did wobble a little when I used it for suspended pushups though, and think it possibly wasn't high enough? Also used pullup bar, 6kg kettlebell and light weights. Was pooped by the end it felt like a good workout.

yumyumpoppycat · 08/01/2017 21:17

PS Roman bbl is about £15 on amazon at the mo which is actually pretty good although if I remember the bands that come with it are not that great and really hurt my legs!

Purpleraindeer · 09/01/2017 07:55

Hello! Thanks for the well dones. The only lasting effect is a really sore blister on my heel. that is not a hard core injury is it?! I was v tired yesterday and could barely keep my eyes open past 8pm.

Now trying to think of what to do next. Think I'm going to do 4x weeks of p90x3. Rough plan is to do the lean programme and 2 weeks of mth 1 and 2 weeks of mth 2. I will definitely substitute agility x workout as I can't be bothered with the masking tape on the floor. Not sure what with - something Shaun t I think.

disappointed101 · 09/01/2017 19:44

Welcome anew! Special site is Russian you tube.
Yummy equaliser bars are about waist height. There are two kinda like parallel bars but lower. You can do all kinds of exercises with the. You tube it.
Well done purple! What a great accomplishment!
I'm on week 2 of core de force. Have joined a challenge group on Facebook and feel more motivated. Have been doing well with nutrition bar Saturday when I went to London to see impractical jokers. I had cocktails and cake and my tummy did not thank me for it. I ended up having an ibs flare up.
Oh well happy Monday!

yumyumpoppycat · 10/01/2017 08:18

Dissapointed101 facebook group sounds good fun - what is the verdict in there - do people like tour de force? Will look up bars.

Did a quick pre school and work workout this am - hammer speed, its only about 20 minutes including cool down and warm up so not sure how effective it is but handy to have a short workout. Wish they gave an indication of how long the H&C workouts are 10 minutes makes a big difference in the morning.

yumyumpoppycat · 10/01/2017 09:00

Sorry meant to say Purple if you fancy a change you could try Chisel agility, I remember thinking it was a bit better than 90x3 one but there was a bit of silly running in a ring. here is a review kathireuter.com/masters-hammer-chisel-day-10-chisel-agility/

yumyumpoppycat · 10/01/2017 09:08

a geeky review of hammer and chisel howdoigetripped.com/does-hammer-and-chisel-work-workout-reviews-complete-list/ not that I am trying to persuade people to try it with me or anything

disappointed101 · 10/01/2017 09:50

Yummy I think people like it. I got the deluxe workouts to have more variety. It is only 30 days but I could see how it could seem repetitive after a while. It gets me sweating though! In honesty, I like a mix of cardio and weights rather than cardio all the time.

Reastie · 10/01/2017 16:48

Back to step class yesterday which I really enjoyed but after a month off that workout my calves ache a bit today. Did combat core today as decided my core is a state. Was going to do hc22 core (the extra one in addition to the base set. I found it on the secret site) but the audio was funny and it kept cutting out Tony's voice so I gave up. Then I thought I'd try bbl if they had a conditioning type on but ten seconds in I decided the man doing it was too annoying so ended out with trusted combat core.

Hoping for either yoga, swim, or quite run tomorrow afternoon. Still plodding on and feeling a bit better than I was thanks yumy.

I think I might be on that fb group for core de force, is it one called something about a test group? I joined to have a nose at what it looked like but I need to sort out my arm before I do it.

disappointed101 · 10/01/2017 20:04

It's called fight for it with Joel and Jericho

Theromanempire · 11/01/2017 10:47

Morning Smile

Purple glad that there were no severe after-effects from your walk - bet you are still buzzing about it Grin

Reastie well done on getting back in the saddle with your step class. I know what you mean about the BBL man but I am persevering with it as I do quite like the workouts - he does actually explain technique quite well aswell (once you get past the 'cheese' [wink)

So having tried all the BBL Carnivale workouts, I have put together a hybrid workout for the 12-13 weeks. Basically I have allocated one day each week to one type of workout then picked out the ones from T25, 21df, 21dfx and BBL and rotated them round - so, for example, Monday is cardio day so I am rotating round Speed 2.0, Core Speed, Plyo fix and Cardio fix (the BBL cardio workouts are crap!), Tuesday is 'upper' day so I am rotating round Upper fix, Tank Top time and Upper fix extreme and so on. 6 days a week with rest/stretch day on Sunday. I am hoping that it will stop me getting bored as I will only be doing each workout once every 3/4 weeks.

yumyumpoppycat · 11/01/2017 13:16

Roman that sounds like a cool hybrid! I don't think I could just do BBL but maybe once a week would work actually.

dissapointed I like the sound of core de force, looks like some of it is online so will prob try some when I finish or get fed up with H&C.

Reastie glad you enjoyed your step work out. I am glad I bought my step as it has added something new.

At home today so I did a yoga class followed by Hammer plyo. Plyo which was short 26 mins but got out of breath as always with jumping. I was quite scared doing some of the jumping over and onto step stuff but it was ok and step didnt move. There were also some plyo pushups which I just cant do, and some burpee pullups. was quite fun overall.

Hope your blister is ok Purple.

Reastie · 11/01/2017 17:54

Burpee pull ups Shock ? They sound hard!

Thermo the hybrid sounds ace.

Quick jog today for half an hour and 5k. Calves still hurt from Monday's step so the hill training I had planned didn't quite work out but I went on a hillier than usual route to get some hills in.

Theromanempire · 11/01/2017 20:26

yumyum yes, constant BBL would put me off exercising for life I think Grin havent done any Shaun T for months so quite looking forward to doing some T25 again. Did Pilates fix today as Wednesday is Abs day - I have lost all my strength that I built up before Christmas as I couldn't even hold a plank for 60 seconds Sad

Just been for a run with friends tonight which is my first one in months and months - managed 6k which I am amazed about. It did take 50 minutes which shows you how slow I run Blush

Yes, what are burpee pullups? Sounds like some form of torture to me!

yumyumpoppycat · 11/01/2017 21:04

Grin @ BBL roman

Burpee pullups are actually easy with a pull up assist you just do a pullup then a burpee then a pullup then a burpee. With enough space and no pullup assist they would be hard. I had to do them sideways on in our hall way which is the width of the front door so couldnt leap from burpee to pullup. Actually Sagi says not to jump on to the bar anyway too dangerous. I found Sagi ok in that workout - cant believe someone so muscly can jump so high!

Well done on jogging with sore legs reastie. PS how is your shoulder now, any improvements?

whispers - I have made another purchase Jillian Bodyshred set £35 from ebay new. {hangs head in shame at bargain exercise stuff shopaholicism} . In my defence this is what it says about one of the workouts:
Incorporating the most vigorous formidable body weight exercises ever conceived of along with rapid-fire plyo HIIT intervals and core conditioning that must be seen to be believed. Ruthless super sets are combined with the most sophisticated exercise sequencing to humble even the most well conditioned athletes. Try it if you dare.
oooh er Grin I checked its not on the secret site grrr.

Purpleraindeer · 11/01/2017 21:08

Roman I love the sound of that hybrid.

Blister is fine thanks! I know I'm being hard on myself but we got the placing from our race today and I didn't do as well as i wanted. I know the field was a tough one but I'm still a bit fed up. Am trying to shake it off though as being realistic having done it is an achievement in itself. I probably need to find a new challenge to focus on

Started my p90x3 phase. Accelerator on Monday night then cvx tonight. Argh - weights and cardio - my nemesis. Looked at the screen clock as was feeling knackered and it said 19mins so I was delighted. Then realised the clock counts down in p90x3 and I still had 2 thirds of the workout to go Shock. Am feeling a bit sore already so god knows what tomorrow will be like!

Purpleraindeer · 11/01/2017 21:11

Massive cross posts!

Am a bit horrified at burpee pull ups. Also laughing at Poppy's constant shopping. Whatever is a sophisticated exercise sequence??? You need to get started on it straight away!

yumyumpoppycat · 11/01/2017 21:16

gah I know I was so determined to become frugal too!

Please dont be cross about your placing - it sounded like an amazing challenge, if you do it again next year bet you will smash it with the benefit of knowing how it all works etc

Theromanempire · 11/01/2017 21:46

Can post a copy of my schedule if anyone does want to see it? Am hoping the constant mixing of exercises will keep me from getting complacent.

purple don't be disheartened - you completed the course which is more than most people would do.

yumyum that description sounds interesting- wonder how much is marketing shite or whether it really is that hard...leg us know!

Theromanempire · 11/01/2017 21:49

Oh crap, I had attached the schedule then meant to delete it but forgot Blush Anyway, there it is for you all Grin
