I hope you can find me! I went to post in the old thread but it had reached its limit.

Here's to an energetic, fit, healthy, and strong summer ahead.

purple very wise advice from your DD Grin

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 26/12/2016 18:13

Happy Christmas everyone - I am so impressed with you all keeping on!!

Roastie we share a special date!

Hopefully I will be back on it in the next day or 10

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 26/12/2016 21:04

Do we share birthdays yumy? Ohh my twin I bet I'm older though .

Thanks for the run reassurance, I'm proud of myself with hindsight.

Had Christmas Day off after doing a gentleish combat core workout and three week yoga balance routine on Christmas Eve. Today I did insanity sweat intervals 1, phew I didn't enjoy that but felt glad to have done it. Hoping to go for a run in a local park tomorrow, probably just a short one for time reasons and will be a slow time as very hilly but I'll be getting out and trying to keep motivation up.

Over a year and a half and I'm still sugar free (bar fresh fruit and some dried fruit) but I'll tell you what, Christmas Day I really fancied just slobbing out with chocolate coins and fererro rocher!! Resisted though even if I did eat a lot more than usual. Hoping the scales won't be too mean to me as I've been relatively good in choices.

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 26/12/2016 21:05

Purple your dd is the opposite of mine! She shouts 'come on y'all you can do it ' to me whilst I'm collapsed on the floor saying 'I can't do it, I can't do it'!!!!

Purpleraindeer · 28/12/2016 16:08

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I definitely wasn't particularly disciplined re eating and had a lot of cheese! Don't have so much of a sweet tooth these days though so not too much of that - although I may have had a few mince pies..... must have been tough to stay no sugar roastie - respect!

Also had day off on Xmas day and yesterday too, but went for run with DH on Boxing Day. Was lovely except for when he challenged me to a sprint finish and I was nearly sick outside the house as I tried so hard to catch him. My competitive streak is not always a good thing.

Back on it today with Friday fight 1. Hope you're enjoying max30 roastie.

yumyumpoppycat · 28/12/2016 17:17

Well done purple bet you gave him a run for his money (geddit)

Wow seriously impressed that you said no to ferrero Roastie I may have single handedly eaten a whole box over last week or so!

Ok so T25 beta cardio done today - I was feeling smug to start off with as it was fairly easy but I was deservedly out of puff by the end!

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 28/12/2016 18:35

Wow purple, well done for working so hard trying to keep up with your dh (he sounds super fit).

Yumy great work on cardio beta, I can't remember that one very well as I sold my alpha and beta a while ago as it made my knees dodgy (but have since got gamma so I hope I'm not a glutton for punishment!).

Bought 21 day fix yesterday for a really good price (have screen shot the offer for you). It's not bb official usual site so I was worried it was dodgy so I emailed bb and they replied that it's completely legit but the offer isn't valid on their main website. I know I won't be able to do 21 day fix for ages with my arm but it sounds so good from feedback here (plus the Tupperware might be good as I need portion control).

Well, I haven't mentioned this previously as it seemed too good to be true but in the last couple of months I've lost about 4 lbs. for two years I've been struggling to maintain and put on 5lbs in that time from my lowest weight. I definitely think it's down to the running burning a lot of calories, although I may well have put it all back on this week!

Went for a run today, nearly 6k but it was really icy and a bit dangerous in places and with hindsight probably not a good idea. Got a great time for me though and according to my new fancy heart rate monitor which I have now got all set up to my resting heart rate to analyse stats my fitness was 'elite' (or something was elite, which is the highest you can get) for the run, so I was super proud. It's interesting my average heart rate on runs is higher than insanity/hiit even though I'd find insanity much harder to do.

yumyumpoppycat · 28/12/2016 19:39

wow sounds like the running is really working for you Roastie - so some good has come from this forced change to your exercise routine, really glad as you deserve it - you have not given up when many people would have just stopped exercising.

Very keen to hear how you find 21 day fix Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 29/12/2016 16:20

Insanity max 30 is down to 56.90 on amazon, sorry I can't link without the mouse on my laptop.

My next T25 was speed 2,0 defo my favourite ever workout Grin.

Not doing so well foodwise at mo it is so hard with food everywhere in the kitchen - crisps, cakes chocs, prosecco, ice cream gah!

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 29/12/2016 16:42

Body beast also down on Amazon to £26.90, lowest price for ages. I've just got it even though I won't be able to do it for months with injury as it was too good to pass up.

P90x3 agility today. Only time for short workout and was going to do hc22 but decided to do p90x3 instead. No workout tomorrow probably as taking dd to London for the day.

Yumy I suppose the quicker you eat the food the quicker it'll be out of the kitchen....

yumyumpoppycat · 29/12/2016 17:48

Roastie I am so tempted by that, also coredeforce looks interesting? also tempted by eat quickly idea ;) I remember a science teacher once telling me its better to eat all the sweets in one go, sadly I think that only applies to teeth {crying emoticon}

Been downloading cheap bodybuilding kindle books Hmm defo want to 'tone up' this year.

Theromanempire · 29/12/2016 19:05

I am tempted to try the Brazil Butt Lift workouts- they look tame but I follow Tania on FB and she recommends them (although I know that is their job Grin)

On an exercise-hiatus at the moment Blush but looking for something to reignite my enthusiasm for next week. Still love Autumn so happy to continue with 21 day fix but want to mix it up a bit.

Core de Force strikes me as a copy of Body combat but without the groovy tunes Wink

Purpleraindeer · 29/12/2016 21:51

So many bargains!
Also struggling with the eating. Made some more mince pies today Blush
Well done on the weight loss roastie. You really deserve it - like poppy says - many people would have given up exercise if they had struggled with injury like you have
Was in a right mood earlier. DH told me to do some exercise immediately to cheer myself up. It worked!

Purpleraindeer · 29/12/2016 21:52

Poppy let me know if any of the body building books are good. I love that sort of thing

yumyumpoppycat · 30/12/2016 10:19

Purple so far nothing has been that good but this is a good free sample also the free sample by michael matthews

I know how you feel roman, I have hammer and chisel to start and have been thinking about body beast but would need a bench and barbell ideally and we really dont have any where to put all this stuff. Can you try out BBL for free, the abs workout is supposed to be really hard.

I did t25 ript up, I accidentally picked out the same weight as scott - was a bit too heavy so kept finsihing earlier but think thats ok?

Theromanempire · 30/12/2016 12:41

Yumyum I do all the workouts for free Wink Wink so it doesn't matter if I don't like it - I just feel that if I start something afresh next week, I want to see it through. DH will grumble though as there is no way he will do BBL and he likes us to workout together when we are both at home in the evenings (on the rare evenings that one/both of us aren't ferrying the DC around!) Just looks like fun which I think I need at the moment to get back in it.

Roastie well done on the weight loss - I swear running works miracles and I really wished I enjoyed it more than I do Grin I know my friends are going to start asking to go out running again in the New Year and I can't keep making excuses Blush

I went to the docs on Wednesday for my test results - got a clean bill of health (they tested for diabetes, thyroid, vitamin deficiencies, ECG, hormone levels etc) so basically my lack of period for 4 months is 'unexplained' as the hormone levels don't indicate the menopause is imminent either. Not sure if that is good or not but I do feel so much better knowing that there is nothing wrong but, otoh, I would like an explanation Grin

Anyway, in a strange way, I am looking forward to Monday and starting exercise and dieting again - whilst I love food, I think even I have my limits as to what is too much Wink

Hope you are all having a fab end to 2016 Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 30/12/2016 17:21

Roman good news about results but irritating not to have an answer!
I really like your technique of going through the workouts in order rather than following a program so maybe you could do that with BBL so it will ba 2 week challenge or something? Are any of the turbo jam workouts (old chalean ones pre turbo fire) think they are supposed to be fun? Jillian michaels has some longer programs too if they are available, not sure fun is applicable for her workouts though Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 31/12/2016 11:34

Clean eating alice kindle book is now £1.99 on amazon, louise parker cook book 99p, madeline shaw ready steady cook is £1.99. there are quite a few healthy eating kindle bargains etc.....

{scoffs another ferrero, I will finish box no2 off first though)

Have a cold so might make today a rest day. Need to step away from amazon, have ordered Bodybeast, a stability ball and aerobics step to make up for lack of a weights bench - wont take up much less space really but will look less weird in the lounge hopefully!

yumyumpoppycat · 31/12/2016 12:06

another currently free michael matthews kindle book www.amazon.co.uk/Eat-Green-Get-Lean-Vegetarian-ebook/dp/B00F4DZXU0/ref=pd_sim_351_10?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ECS7GREQSHPYAMK4243R

Purpleraindeer · 31/12/2016 13:02

Poppy I love the idea of browsing a clean eating book whilst eating Ferrero rochers!

Just back from my last training walk. Felt soooo much better than I did the first time I went out. Saw deer bounding across the fields through the morning mist. Weight was fine and was fine to make lunch and tidy up afterwards - after my first training walk I went to bed for an hour as I was so knackered. I got the fear tho as this time next week we'll be doing the event for real Shock

Have a nice evening everyone and I'm looking forward to a 2017 full of fitness!

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 01/01/2017 07:28

Ohh yumy I'd love a step but my sure where I'd put it....maybe under the bed. How much was yours? I've also got a cold (well, coming down with something) so think I'll either have a rest ay or do yoga today. Didn't go out last night and felt under the weather.

In good news did a run yesterday of 8,4K in 50 minutes.

Purple wow your walk has sneaked up quickly but sounds like the training has been really successful.

Thermo I'm so glad your tests came back fine, must've been a weight off your mind.

Happy new year everyone

Theromanempire · 02/01/2017 08:34

Happy new year to you all Smile

Am so impressed with you all continuing over the Christmas period - I have not Blush mainly because the DC's presents are still all over the lounge floor so no space to do anything not at all to do with my own natural laziness

Anyway, back on it today. 2 new 21df videos have been uploaded which look amazing. One is a replacement for Dirty 30 and the other is a core cardio workout. Both have loads of brand new moves so look interesting. The cardio one looks really hard though so I think I might have to modify a lot in that but would be good for those of you that want a challenge Smile

Purpleraindeer · 02/01/2017 20:30

Happy new year!
Am glad you posted Roman. I was just making some mental excuses for not working out and saw your post. Did the new cardio 21df. You were right about the hardness - each move when demo-d looked easy so I went into it all smug but actually doing them for a minute was knackering. I was tired by the end.
Might try the other new one tomorrow. Can do weights again now. Haven't been able to for the last 2mths as the weights have been in my backpack so I can do my training walks. Am quite looking forward to a change.

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 02/01/2017 20:49

Ohh, is the new cardio 21df workout suitable for me? (I.e. No weights and able to modify or adapt push ups) would love to try.

Things not going so well this week with being back to work on Wednesday and hospital on Friday meaning I'll be at least two workouts down this week and joined with feeling rubbish and doing really gentle workouts means this week is not going well but will be back to plan next week hopefully.

yumyumpoppycat · 02/01/2017 20:54

Happy New Year everyone!

Good luck for your walk on sat Purple! Grin hopefully reading clean eating books negates ferrero calories ;)

Roastie I went for the tallest step I could find which was on ebay and £28 ish but a few were under £20 on amazon with good reviews. I think they mostly collapse down so fingers crossed not too space takey upy.

Theroman I def havent done as much as I planned - the tree ornaments shake and rattle when I exercise Shock but I am planning to clear the tree tomorrow so that excuse will be gone. Good news about new workouts for you makes a big difference to have something fresh!

Step hasnt arrived but stability ball has - I did hammer and chisel day 1 balance. Only 1 move needed the ball and it was fine. Workout was ok, glad I have done Chalean first as more simple and I think it has helped as prep. Workout felt a little faffy and it has pretty much the least equipment involved Shock. I think a couple of the moves could have been done without a bench but poss it is being used as much as possible to justify the purchase for anyone who has got one specifically for the program? I quite liked Autumn from a motivation point of view but pos she could have given more tips on form. I am double rubbish at squats and lunges (probably a hangover from being worried about knees in the past) I def struggle with those so use a lower weight than I might otherwise - pistol squat is yuk my knee did a large crack!
