I hope you can find me! I went to post in the old thread but it had reached its limit.

Here's to an energetic, fit, healthy, and strong summer ahead.

roastie I think I am going to try 21-day fix but starting on Monday Grin well done on the jogging!

hot insanity looks really hard to me! I have done T25 and really enjoyed it - it isn't easy but the modifier really helps if you want to lower the intensity Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 23/09/2016 18:58

Roastie its funny how the song choice can make a difference to how fast you run Grin

Good choice Theroman enjoy!

I did Tabata power, wooh those plyo things near the beginning! I put on the modifier and did somewhere in between non modified and modified, but the main thing I modified was scissor kicks, is there something I am missing - i just cant do them! I was working from home (was organised and started pre school run!) so did the workout after a walk to supermarket and lunch, found it really comfortable compared to last time when I prob worked out first thing.

Hotling T25 is great, not easy but not insane Grin and has a modifier.

{waves to purple, Only, Boobz and anyone else I am missing}

Purpleraindeer · 23/09/2016 21:57

Hi poppy - hope you survived tabata power!
I've been knackered for the last few days but managed to man up and do speed 3.0 tonight. The balls of my feet ache now. Weird.

Welcome hotling. T25 is good for beginners. Or rockin body - but I've not done that one.

Purpleraindeer · 23/09/2016 22:00

Oops massive cross post. The worst bit of tabata power is the tuck jumps at the end surely? Every time I get to them I think surely only a lunatic would do that for 60secs Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 23/09/2016 22:17

Purple in my mind I was doing tuck jumps but not sure my feet were that far off the ground... I really can't jump like some of those people they have grasshopper legs!

Hotlingbling · 24/09/2016 01:06

I done 15 min of t25. I shall preserve tomorrow.
How do you guys stay motivated?
The off putting thing for me is my throat getting really dry from having to heavy breath.
I'm hoping it will pass as I get fitter.
Thank god for the modifiers.

Theromanempire · 24/09/2016 10:11

Just seen this in case anyone was interested...for £40

pontificationcentral · 24/09/2016 16:31

Have ordered t25. Will let you know how it goes! Am thinking I can use it en route to insanity...

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 16:39

Well done hotling and pontification, you can compare notes on T25.

Keep a bottle of water handy and take a sip whenever you need to hotling - try and keep going you can do it!

Thanks roman - I have my eyes open for a deal on 21 day fix, or hammer and chisel! I prob should get insanity really though as it is the main BB workout.

Went swimming with the dc, now trying to decide if I should have a rest today or tomorrow.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 16:41

PS which workout did you do, also don't be discouraged as some of the alpha workouts are harder than the beta one Confused

Hotlingbling · 24/09/2016 16:50

I did the cardio one. I can feel it in my calves so I know that it's doing something.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 16:56

Well done hotling, you must have worked hard! Shaun T is the king of cardio, which is both good and bad Grin

OK what do we think - H&C for sale new app by beachbody £30 on ebay??? ebay

Theromanempire · 24/09/2016 17:29

hotling well done on getting started - always the hardest part! I agree that a couple of the alpha workouts are harder than beta ones (will not tell you which ones though otherwise it might put you off Grin)

I really need to get started but am on night shifts for the next few days which aren't compatible with exercise Hmm

That Hammer and Chisel seems reasonably priced but I have no idea what it is!

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 17:57

It's weights someone with a funny name who does body beast, alongside autumn who does 21 day fix. I think ideally you need a barbell but I will just use free weights. v tempted. DP and I were out with the kids last weekend and he saw a guitaralele he wanted - so we got it to put away for christmas, but of course he needed to check it works Hmm maybe I could get this for my xmass pressie jan workout

RoastieToastieReastie · 24/09/2016 19:30

Insanity plyo done today. Worked really hard but needed a lot more breaks than I used to. I tried on a dress yesterday and when I was at my slimmest it was baggy and now it's a little tight :( . I've put on maybe five pounds in the last year or so but I've maintained th five pound gain iykwim for a year. Still means I've lost 100lbs though just.

Hope the t25 all goes ok and can't believe insanity is down to £40. I paid nearly £100 I think!

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 20:11

Roastie 5lb is fine. I was looking at my history on MFP (goes back to 2012) and was quite alarmed to see how many times I have lost or gained 10lbs in a month. Maintaining 100lb loss give or take 5lbs over the last year, esp with an injury is an amazing achivement well done Star

Ps are the christmas threads busy yet ... need to get started soon - half term is when I usually get going! {every one else who waits till dec and ignore this Grin } although having said that I have ordered Hammer and chisel it was £29.95 inc delivery ... it seems like it is prob the BB seller as all the other workouts are amazon prices....fingers crossed.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 20:14

I also paid pretty much full price for T25 and insanity max 30 and P90x3 Envy that really adds up.

RoastieToastieReastie · 24/09/2016 20:57

Christmas thread is amazingly busy already yumy, I'm slightly worried how I'm going to cope with it in the next couple of months as last thread took only about 5 days to fill. Thanks for the reassurance about the weight, it's just a bit miserable when I know my tummy was smaller than it is now (my priblem area). It didn't help when I was getting changed DD told me I had a big tummy and when I said was she being serious or making a joke she said she was serious :(

RoastieToastieReastie · 24/09/2016 20:58

Ps I've bought in the past pump, insanity, t25 (although then sold the alpha and beta pack on eBay for about £30 less than I paid as it gave me a knee injury), p90x2 all full price. It really does add up you're right.

yumyumpoppycat · 24/09/2016 21:48

5 days for 1000 messages! Blimey. {waves disco finger lights around}

My dd is always saying I love your arms they're so chubby - this is after losing lots of weight...great! Wink don't let it get you down, it could be totm - I am feeling really wobbly of tummy at mo but think its just that. Hopefully you will find some workouts you love without impacting on your injury, and also not long for results if mri - then you can get back to where yo were.

Hotlingbling · 25/09/2016 00:21

Just done speed 1.0 on t25. It is easier than the cardio as you get to stop and do stretches. But I burnt out at 21 min. The final ten min is just non stop without stretches. Thank god for Tanya.
You're right about the DVDs being expensive. I used to watch the Insanity promo when normal TVs had finished for the night and be shocked at the price. But on the other hand you get all the booklets and stuff which I don't have on demand.
Has anyone seen the promo for ShakeWeight Blush
m.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ie5zdObH5U
I bought one but it wasn't something I found easy to use. It didn't shake up and down like that.

Purpleraindeer · 25/09/2016 14:46

Well done hotling! It will get easier - you've just got to stick with it for the first 2 weeks.

Am a bit tempted to buy insanity for £40. Did pure cardio yesterday (love that one!) and went for a run today. Really enjoyed the run - want to do it more but seem to find it really hard to get organised to do it.

Roastie - you sound fed up. Flowers 5lbs is not much. being fit is more important than being thin.

Purpleraindeer · 25/09/2016 14:46

And what are the Xmas threads? Surely it's only September???

yumyumpoppycat · 25/09/2016 16:23

Here is a link tothe lates rather interestingly titled xmas bargain thread
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/Christmas/2739466-Thread-8-anyone-still-looking-for-a-poo-cushion Grin

Insanity would be an ideal early xmas pressie for your family to get you purple ;)

Chalean yest. Rest day for me today so i did insanity max 30 pulse (very unlike me to do one of those recovery workouts) and really quite liked it. I am becoming a fan of downward do spider lunge Shock Felt like I needed a stretch, might try the one from t25 next time as its a bit more stretchy I think.

Have a lovely sun eve all

Theromanempire · 25/09/2016 16:27

I ventured onto the Christmas thread yesterday...omg, my purse has taken a battering in that time! Very useful stuff in there though Smile including an amazing rainbow poo cushion which DS2 is going to love!!

yum I love the stretch T25 workout - I always felt properly loose afterwards. Might try and incorporate it into 21 day fix as I think that has a yoga day which is not really my thing so might switch it Smile
