I've made it out again today, more to get this Garmin working for me than anything else! Did 5 miles but it was a bit of a struggle. I feel a lot less fit than I did 10 days ago Hmm. So that's 473 - I'm not sure if anotherbitofcake's 5 miles have been added though?

originalpiratematerial · 11/05/2014 14:51

No I don't think they have been, have they - so total is 478.3.

originalpiratematerial · 11/05/2014 14:52

Oh crap - you did 6.3, not 5.3, anotherbitofcake! 479.3

KristinaM · 11/05/2014 14:57

I did a 10k race today, so 789.3

cinnamongreyhound · 11/05/2014 15:25

I think you'll be fine Morrigu, what do you mean by time allocation?

Well done chopstheduck, officelady and PolkaSpottyDotty!

Sorry to hear about your injury melaniecheeks, falling is horrible :(

That's bloody impressive for taking it steady anotherbitofcake!

I think we're at 489 unless KristinaM race was 300 miles Wink so my 10 makes the total 499miles.

Did my race in 1hr 33, was hoping for a sub 1:30 but still good and I got a club copper standard. Really enjoying it apart from mile 7 and 9, very uphill and into a horrible headwind!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/05/2014 15:27

Actually we're in miles so it should be 495.5miles, is that right?

originalpiratematerial · 11/05/2014 15:49

Ooh ooh ooh, whose run is going to be the one that takes us to 500???

originalpiratematerial · 11/05/2014 15:49

And well done all today's fab race runners!

KristinaM · 11/05/2014 15:55

I should not be allowed to even try to add on these threads Blush

fingersonbuzzers · 11/05/2014 16:31

Hello and well done to all the Parkrunners! I will be doing PR next week and continuing on my quest to get my pb under 27 mins, though I've heard our course may have got harder since they changed the route slightly - blatherskite did you read that on the MK PR email?

anotherbitof and cinnamon well done today both of you! And doubly so for doing it 4 months after giving birth anotherbitof, I think I'd have needed to have laid down for a snooze halfway at 4 mo pos-birth!

I came down with a bit of a chest thing on Friday but haven't been too bad with it. Went to the gym today and did a 5k interval run on the treadmill rather than braving it outside, which brings our total to 498.6, which means the next person on the thread will probably break our 500 target!

postmanpatscat · 11/05/2014 16:36

Me me me! I did 5 miles on Friday! So that is now 503.6

Sorry, I have been rubbish at checking in with you all this week and now I swoop in and beat our target!

Congrats to all of us, I think it's an amazing achievement in such a short time.

KristinaM · 11/05/2014 16:38

Well done Jess Smile

Grin

Briliant!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/05/2014 16:43

Grin KristinaM I'm always worried about correcting anything, don't like to offend, phew!

postmanpatscat · 11/05/2014 16:44

So next target is 1000 miles right? It's only take us ten days to make 500, so we can do 1500 by the end of the month, agreed? Grin

I'm going to get off MN, finish the lesson planning I'm supposed to be doing, and get out there and add to our target. Looks like the rain will hold off and I'll be all right with the wind behind me. Might have to keep on running down the A4 til I get to Chiswick and then get the bus back to save running into the wind!!

Knackerelli · 11/05/2014 17:32

Ouch Melanie, that sounds painful. I nearly did the portrush parkrun as stayed in Ballycastle over Easter, but DH was ill so had no childcare. Really enjoyed running along the coast each morning though. Makes a nice change to my normal inner city landscape!

Did my first 10k race Saturday, really pleased as I completed it in a time of 1:05. [happy]

Hope the wind and rain dies off for everyone's runs this week.

Sirzy · 11/05/2014 17:47

Easily postman! 50 miles a day average is pretty impressive!

Blatherskite · 11/05/2014 18:29

I haven't seen the email yet fingersonbuzzers

I ran the test run of new route just after Christmas. The start will be further round past the yellow bollards to stop that annoying bottleneck that's been making getting started so stop/start and the distance is made up by running around the field next to the peace pagoda rather than heading straight down the hill. It is perhaps slightly harder in that there will be a little more hill to climb, the path around that field is more bumpy and you're missing out on that lovely, long downhill glide but it's not massively different. MK was never meant to be a PB course anyway.

Getting a bit drunk while watching Eurovision in an empty house last night was a bad idea. I entered another half marathon! Then my brother came round today and talked me into another one!! That's going to be 5 this year!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/05/2014 18:47

Which ones blatherskite?

Blatherskite · 11/05/2014 18:48

The NSPCC half and the Great Birmingham Run.

Sirzy · 11/05/2014 18:58

5 half marathons in a year - impressive!
