Can I join you?

Just starting C25K after no running for a long whole and 4 children!

Aiming for 5k at end of June, 10k in September and half marathon in February.

I could do with being shamed into keeping it up!

While not whole Confused

I did w6 r1 today. The same sprightly woman overtook me and I thought to myself "I wonder if I'll ever run in that light and springy sort of way, rather than sluggishly thundering along"...anyway, by the end if the run I felt ever so slightly "springy" dare I say Grin

W3R2 here today. I too was overtaken by someone who was positively bounding along. Hey ho.

If I could just lose 3.5 stone it would be so much easier...

W1D2 completed as an early run today... The C25K app almost doesn't seem enough though, the walks are a bit too long and the runs a bit too short.

Should I just jump to week 2 or is it worth going through the slow bit first?

TerraNotSoFirma · 02/04/2014 11:01

Inspired by this thread, I did week 1 run 1 yesterday......I thought I was going to throw up :( and shins were just agony.
But I'm going out again tomorrow :)

amazonianwoman · 02/04/2014 23:52

Well done Terra Smile

Have you been fitted with the correct running trainers? My shins were v sore until I had a gait analysis and started wearing the right shoes.

TerraNotSoFirma · 03/04/2014 16:29

No not yet, will be looking into it soon though.
Haven't done run 2 yet, have come down with a horrible cold and can barely walk nevermind run :-(

After 3 weeks off and with my 3k run fast approaching, I needed to get my act together so I did W2R3 on Thursday and W3R1 tonight. Surprisingly feeling OK despite the time off!
