Just about to do L1D2. Bit nervous as my arms are so sore from yesterday that I struggled to take off my work top & get into my sports top. My bum, chest & legs also ache. But in a good sort of way. Jillian is about to stop waffling so I'd better get on with it.

bumbumbee · 14/08/2013 20:22

Hi all, looks like everyone's struggling a bit, I was up most of the night ill so I only got half way through d1 l2 this morning before gave up, tried again at lunch time but DC were trying to join in and trip me up, I didn't want the day to be a complete write off so I went for a run when DH got home, I'll need some running shoes if this is going to become a habit, my ankles hurt, can I have a sticker please standing ? and woohoo for illustrated that sounds great! good luck on your date. Keep it up shredders Smile

lifesgreatquestions · 14/08/2013 20:40

Woo hoo illustrated!!! One more day, such an accomplishment, and a fit date to boot. I hope you have a fab time!

Murtette · 14/08/2013 20:40

Sounds like you got there in the end bumbum.
I just did level two. Dropped down to 1kg for most of the exercises other than the rows & chest flies. I really struggled with the lunges & skipped a few.
28 days to go. I want to be in your position Illustrated!

Standingonlego · 14/08/2013 21:03

Fabulous news from illustrated - it is possible to get to the end! One more day, look forward to hearing from you tomorrow!!!! Liking the sound of your date :) Make sure you update us !

life, murtette, BBB - stickers all round I think Grin

I went to gym this morning so may skip a shred and get back for L1D8 tomorrow...

SheepAreSuper · 14/08/2013 22:20

L2D7 done. Will do D8 before work in the morning.
I'll be glad to finish this level. I don't remember disliking it this much last time I did it. The chair squats & V-flies are just cruel.

Sounds like you're all getting on just fine Smile

lifesgreatquestions · 15/08/2013 16:45

Day 15 here, half way mark. I can't believe I have been getting up at the crack of dawn for 1 days straight. I haven't measured anything as I thought I would so no idea if anything's lighter or smaller. Bored with level 2 but will see it through. Illustrated hope your final shred is joyous!

Murtette · 15/08/2013 20:32

L1D3 completed. I ached a lot less today. Phew!
Well done, life, on the half way stage. That seems a long way off for me at the moment. I have just set my alarm for 5.45am tomorrow so I can shred before setting off for work.

Standingonlego · 15/08/2013 23:35

L1D8 now done. Relieved that the end of L1 is in reach. I weighed myself and not much change, but am defo looking more trim :)

No victory dance from illustrated yet?!? Do you think the final shred has made her self-combust Grin

RippingYarns · 16/08/2013 08:35

Morning shreddies!

Still trundling through L1 but on day 14 now - for some reason (perhaps 3 extra stone :-D ) I find the first set of cardio really hard on my legs, the last one where you do all 4 moves is really easy :-[

Still on track for sunday and L2 though

Illustrated, hope you're ok, well done!

Good luck to everyone for today, and hope

Murtette · 16/08/2013 10:39

I did it! Well, almost. I skipped the last minute of abs as I got up 5 mins later than planned & so was short on time. I figure I can do those quite easily before I go to bed this evening. So, that's L1D4 done. And I should be able to fit D5 & 6 in easily over the weekend.

lifesgreatquestions · 16/08/2013 10:52

Murtette, that's an early start, I'm shredding at 6:30 and not liking it so can't imagine a 5:45 start. Since I have done it every day in a row for 16 days now my body now expects it and I wake up anyway so I hope for you that you acclimatise soon. Congratulations on completing day4!

Standing, maybe that's what happens on day 30 Shock.

Ripping, These exercises are leg heavy aren't they, my knees have finally given up and I couldn't do any jumping around today so I empathise with your tired legs. I substituted boxing for the jumping about. Could you do any substitutions?

I did day 6 of level 2. I would like to say for those of you about to embark on this dreadful level that I did today notice that I'd become stronger, the planks are getting easier, I'm still doing the easy (or at times the easier than easy!) version but it doesn't just stay tough the whole way. Hard to imagine what it's like to finish but I am getting more toned. I will be weighing myself on day 30 too, I've not been dieting but I've been cutting back a little bit. fingers crossed!

Illustrated · 16/08/2013 12:43

I'M FINISHED!!! WOOHOO!! Grin

So the results are that I've lost half a stone and 2 inches off my hips waist and bum. On the whole I've lost 28lbs since February so this has helped with firming and toning big time.

I'm sure others who are on special diets will see more of a difference than me - I've been eating a lot of cake for the last week...

I will do another round I think and order another Jillian dvd.

I may take some 'after' shots in a bit and post them here if I'm brave enough.

Keep going everyone!!

NoelHeadbands · 16/08/2013 13:22

Well done Illustrated!! And woohoo at those results!

It's a great feeling isn't it?

Keep going everyone

[party popper emoticon] well done illustrated Grin

what a result, bloody awesome Grin

life i'm loathe to sub any moves because i think if it's hard, it must be a weak spot iygwim?

maybe i need to do more Confused at to how though.

Standingonlego · 16/08/2013 19:10

L1 D9 done....
illustrated ra ra ra - fabulous!!!

everyone else, we are doing great - let's keep going!!!

Standingonlego · 17/08/2013 10:56

On a roll....L1D10 finished :) I did Park Run this morning and so am now collasping into the shower. Can go to my friends 40th celebrations today with a happy heart as I have already earned my Pimms Wine

SheepAreSuper · 17/08/2013 12:15

Well done illustrated!
Yay to standing for getting to the end of L1. Enjoy your Pimms Wine

L2D10 done and darn happy to have got to the end of that one. Looking forward to L3 but I'm going hiking for a few days so won't get to start it till Monday or Tuesday.

Have a great weekend.

Murtette · 17/08/2013 14:03

Well done Illustrated. That must feel amazing. And we'll done Standing & Sheep for finishing a level.
L1D5 done here.

lifesgreatquestions · 17/08/2013 15:17

1/2 a stone and two inches Grin, congratulations Illustrated, that's a wonderful achievement and so glad day 30 didn't result in spontaneous combustion!!!

Ripping, I understand, with me my knees have been bad since I was very young, even at the age of 19 I would go for walks and become so debilitated that I had to hobble on to a bus to get back home. On perfectly normal days I can struggle with stairs, so all this jumping around the last couple of weeks has taken it's toll. I'm keeping moving but not doing any of the jumping bits for the last two days now.

Congratulations Standing and Sheep!!!

I'm on day 17, l2d7, am a little worse for wear after having more alcohol than is usual for me last night so was really tough but I did it.

lifesgreatquestions · 18/08/2013 10:06

Day 18 done!

Murtette · 18/08/2013 19:28

Well done Life. I'm feeling very demoralised as, having calorie counted & done exercise for the last 6 days, I have stayed the same weight. I can't think of any time of the month excuse either. I thought doing some regular exercise (even if only 20mins) was going to zap this last stone I need to lose.
Will do d6 tonight despite being demoralised & tired.

Standingonlego · 18/08/2013 21:05

Thank you all for your kind words for sheep and I as we finished L2 and L1 respectively :)

Do not lose heart murtette I have been being good and was very surprised to have stayed exactly the same weight....however my looser jeans (and some compliments Blush) are telling me that it is muscle I have gained to take over the lard lost. Hang in there :)

Just finished L2D1 and i was a bit nervous after all this talk of plank jacks an stuff but i have to say i really enjoyed it Grin. I needed to change rooms though as needed more space for my skating leaps and twirling!

Standingonlego · 18/08/2013 21:07

I also need a mini celebration as now my park run time is back it is my best time this year Smile. I have reduced my time by well over a minute since i started the shred so all those lunges are definately helping my legs. It is really motivating to see that time go down!

lifesgreatquestions · 19/08/2013 08:25

day 19 only partially competed. I'm due tomorrow and it always begins as a deep body lethargy so this morning I was struggling along!
