Thanks Noel, I think you might be right about the yoga type exercise, I'll see what doctor google offers up, or might start a new thread.

Good to see you back on it too

neverlookback · 12/08/2013 12:09

Hi shredders!
I skived Saturday as just didnt have time to do it, I had lost 2lb on fri but have drank/eaten out and takeaway all weekend it's all back on! I always undo all my hard work at weekend!
I felt better from missing a day to be honest, put more into yesterday but I am starting to feel a bit bored of itHmm but will be l1d9 today when I finally fit it in Smile

Standingonlego · 12/08/2013 22:51

L1D7 done...I am starting to flag a bit now and looking forward to whatever crazy changes L2 will bring...plank jacks etc Confused that are being mentioned up thread! Envious of monster, life illustrated but also inspired by you guys to stick at it.

neverlookback · 13/08/2013 09:51

Oh I'm flagging Hmm I really didnt enjoy doing it last night and was constantly thinking of stopping, I might try L2 today, when I get chance, to see if it re awakens my willpower! If not I might be a quitter Confused

bumbumbee · 13/08/2013 10:43

Don't quit never I am supposed to be on l2 d1 today but I hurt my back yesterday doing situps (they always hurt my back) I was thinking about quitting but just took some photos to compare to my before pics and woohoo my love handles are smaller and there's less of a mum tum overhang and my jeans are fitting looser around my bum and thighs, definitely inspired to carry on after a rest day for my back Grin keep going everyone, we will be shredded!

JetBlack · 13/08/2013 10:51

Arghh haven't shredded since Saturday, like everyone else I'm getting fed up of level one but I'm going to keep going and do L1D6 around lunch time. I took a couple of pictures before I started so every time I start feeling like wanting to quit I look at them and also make myself try on a skirt I used to love and actually used to fit Envy

neverlookback · 13/08/2013 11:15

My back hurts too bumblebee it's those bicycle crunch things and the sit ups that do me in too, god damn u jillian !

HellesBellesIsRenamed · 13/08/2013 11:52

I shredded - I'm back in the game. Weirdly, most of the exercises were not much more difficult than last time I did them two weeks ago but the arm exercises which involved lifting weights above shoulder level (the squat-and-press and the lateral-squat-with an arm-raise??) were hideously difficult. I didn't manage a full set. I would have thought decorating would have kept them strong while everything else would have suffered after being laid up for a week.

The main thing is, I hadn't been set back as far as I feared so I am classing this as L1D6. Done :)

HellesBellesIsRenamed · 13/08/2013 11:54

I almost forgot Ripping there is a woman who has a book called the non-surgical facelift or something

HellesBellesIsRenamed · 13/08/2013 11:59

facelift

amazon

RippingYarns · 13/08/2013 13:23

thanks Helles, i'll take a look for neck strengthening bits

i don't think my face is too bad all the fat pushes out the wrinkly bits Wink

lifesgreatquestions · 13/08/2013 17:59

I did it, l2d3, 13 days in. I cannot wait to be finished with level two. Anyone know if level 3 is better - I'm sure I heard someone on here say that? I do think I'm getting stronger though. And I AM going to finish, 17 more days to go, 17 more days to go, 17 more days to go...

lifesgreatquestions · 13/08/2013 20:54

Oh no, I posted in a hurry earlier and didn't have time to read, I'm sorry to hear so many feeling like stopping. A lot of you already have other exercise bits and pieces in your life and I think that would make it tougher. As for me, like Helles, I want to fit into my clothes. And I like seeing the changes from marshmallow to, um firm marshmallow! I've developed a line at the top of my abdomen and I think that's so cool!!

Standingonlego · 13/08/2013 20:59

Come on never we can do this!!! I do not believe that you are a quitter for one second.

Right - I am sick of it too - but it is over fairly quick and is making a difference (encouraged by bumbumbee comments here!) We all just need to hang on in there.

Scrary secret from the Standing house....i get a smiley sticker on the calender if I shred Blush which is helping motivate me too....!

Standingonlego · 13/08/2013 21:01

life just read about your tummy line - awesome stuff...more reasons to get off this sofa and get my trainers on.

Standingonlego · 13/08/2013 21:50

L1D8 done. It went super fast this evening/ Off to get my sticker Grin

NoelHeadbands · 13/08/2013 22:06

NO QUITTING Grin

Honestly, I'm still here! You're all doing so well, though I think it's only natural to get a bit stalled along the way. Take some photos, examine yourself in the mirror- easy to miss all those little (and big changes) sometimes, it was only when I looked back at my Before pics that I realised how much the shred had done for me.

Keep going everyone

RippingYarns · 13/08/2013 22:14

L3 is far better than 2 - it's fun, honest

Come on, no quitting. You CAN do it.

I'm 46, I wear size 14-18 clothes and I can do it. I'm lifting 1.5kg and can now do 30 press ups in that circuit. So can you :-D

Murtette · 13/08/2013 22:22

Can I join? L1D1 here. I haven't done it for weeks. In June, I was managing three or four days in a row and would then have a couple of days off. In July, I managed it about twice in the entire month and really noticed my middle get flabbier. I hadn't consciously noticed it tighten up in June (although a few people did ask if I'd lost weight) but I did notice it reverse again. This time, I want to do 30 consecutive days of exercise. Although I already have no idea how I'm going to do it on Friday (leave for work at 7 dropping the DC at nursery on the way; not home until 7.15 and have to be out again for 8.00) and I can't decide what to do about my zumba class on Monday.

lifesgreatquestions · 14/08/2013 10:04

Woo! It's sounding very encouraging in here now! 30 days, each one counting down. Of she has 400lb people doing this then so can we!!

Ripping, you are an impressive lady!! Thanks for saying level three is better!

I struggled this morning, I'm coming to terms with the fact that I just won't enjoy level 2. I have made a little improvement with the various planks but I've replaced the one with press ups with just plain press ups and I can't hold weights above my head during that military kick, I'm doing what I can.

I will see this through!

HellesBellesThinksSometimes · 14/08/2013 10:08

L1D7 done. Strughled this morning with low energy. Fasted yesterday and had not yet eaten when I shredded so that's probably why. Very thirsty throughout. Energy levels picked up by the last set of jumping-jacks (the woman's obsessed!) and I ended feeling good :)

Still struggling to lift even my puny 1kg weights above shoulder height but my press-ups are getting closer to good form.

lifesgreatquestions · 14/08/2013 10:10

Helles, I can't believe you call those weights puny, I've got those and they are far too heavy!!!

HellesBellesThinksSometimes · 14/08/2013 10:25

For most of the strength exercises, lgq they feel too light for me - like there's not enough resistance there. Particularly the bicep curls - I think I need to go up a kilo for them. I could probably go up half a kilo on the chest presses and the rowing too.

lifesgreatquestions · 14/08/2013 14:21

That's impressive, I'm wondering of I will ever feel they are a manageable weight!

Illustrated · 14/08/2013 16:58

ONE MORE DAY! Time to start planning what to do next, anyone buy her other dvd?

I'm so glad I did this, in the beginning I felt like I was only doing it to lose weight but I feel so much fitter and I'm sure its improving my general mood.

Oh and yeh I will be going on that date I mentioned up thread, he just happens to be a marine that's offered to go running with me..if that's not motivation to keep fit I don't know what is!

I'm another that agrees level 3 is better. I hated level 2 I have to say.
