More space for us to talk about our progress on the C25K programme, the highs, the lows, the hills, the rain, our pelvic floors and our choice of running music!

All are welcome on this international thread, stay with us and enjoy success Grin

Still here, but away to get chanced....

honest Wink.
Am nervous about doing 5min run for the first time. [scared emoticon]

JelliBelli · 17/05/2011 17:18

chanced ? Changed!

JelliBelli · 17/05/2011 18:12

I'm back! It wasn't as bad as I feared.

But i felt as desperate need for the loo after the thrid run. Is that my weak and feeble pelvic floor? Please tell me it wasn't..... Shock

RatherBeWearingASluttyBra · 17/05/2011 18:15

Well done Jelli - fabulous

Re needing the loo...... Maybe, you just needed the loo?
< trying to be kind >

JelliBelli · 17/05/2011 19:09

No, I did go before I went IYSWIM Blush. I'm still feeling the urge now to be honest. I think I need to work on my pelvic floor (having avoided it for years) now... Ho hum.

sluttysbrawearer · 17/05/2011 21:54

you wouldn't be the first jelli Grin

RatherBeWearingASluttyBra · 18/05/2011 08:19

Slutty, Slutty, Slutty, Slutty, SLUTTY SLUTTY SLUTTY!!

I've had a great idea - you should put yourself up for carrying the Olympic torch when it comes! You could design a feature in the lingerie collection to hold the torch, thus keeping your hands free to wave at the crowds! Genius! Plus it would be an opportunity to showcase your collection to the whole world!

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 18/05/2011 08:21

W3R3 done. At 6 o'clock in the bloody morning. Easier than W3R2. Got some abuse from some lads in a Corsa but coudn't ear what that said. hurrah for MP3 players.

Hope everyone else is ok.

sluttysbrawearer · 18/05/2011 08:22

yyyyyyYYYYYY Y Y Y

RatherBeOnThePiste · 18/05/2011 08:26
Grin Still remembering I have a financial cut on this collection x

Oh pants. Have got a bit behind, had a nasty bug. Haven't done W3R2.

Just heard on the news that the Olympics will be looking for "inspirational torchbearers". Sounds like you Slutty. Holding a flame in your bra would be truly inspiring.

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 18/05/2011 09:35

@Nimpy - you can't help being poorly. W3R2 will happen when it happens.

justaminute · 18/05/2011 09:45

Slutty. I have a new idea for the lingerie collection. I could do with some reinforced running pants Blush. I attempted to lengthen my stride on last night?s run, I felt like a proper runner but my butt cheeks were bouncing around all over the place Blush.

sybilfaulty · 18/05/2011 11:07

I am embarrassed to have been AWOL for over a week, but RL has got in the way. I have run 2x this week, seem to have slipped a bit in terms of fitness but reckon that some running is better than none, right? I will do it, I will, I will, I will, I will!

Am going to enter a 5k in July to give myself something to aim for. Hurray!

good to be back Smile. Have I missed any songs?

SirCharlieStinkySocks · 18/05/2011 14:22

Well, I am now thoroughly depressed. Doing ok on week 2, back out again tomorrow morning for w2r3 but made chronic mistake of weighing myself last night and... I've not lost anything. I'm about a stone overweight and have not eaten any chocolate for the last 2 weeks plus eating more healthier in general and nothing's changed Sad!!!

Anyway I've decided I may venture out onto the streets of London on Saturday morning and pootle around the roads for a bit, sounds more appealing that hotel gym. Think I'm not far from the British Museum so will have a run around that area I reckon.

Nimpy Don't worry, illness happens the main thing is you get back into it.

KateMEyebrows Good to see there's someone other than me who does the 6am run, I'll trade your Corsa drivers for my leering HGV truckers

Jelli well done on the run

Sybil I'm with you on this one, some running definitely betetr than none, I'm entering a 5k in July too for some motivation.

Am now seriously tempted to eat the Caramac that my workmate bought me from hols and the Italian choccy wafer biscuits she gave me as well.

instantfamily · 18/05/2011 15:00

yippie! week9day1! but now I have some discomfort on inside lower calf close to ankle. am I stretching wrong? not enough?

JelliBelli · 18/05/2011 17:34

SirCharlieSS maybe you should take your measurements with a tape measure. I started my fitness crusade with 30Day Shred and I didn't lose any lbs for quite a while on that BUT as i had taken my measurements I could see that I had dropped inches.

BearGryllsBra · 18/05/2011 18:42

Ratherbe Grin x eleventy million! Am almost positive I could squash an Olympic torch in there too, beside all the other little pouches and hidey holes - a bit like the flower container thingy inside the M&S trollies no? Cheque is in the post. Am chuckling away here, kids think I am clearly doolally.

Justaminute - y y y to the Reinforced Butt Cheek Panels - I could do with some of those - not ran this week because of stupid dodgy foot, so feeling bereft. Bereft I tell you! Me. The shirker at the back of PE class actually missing running!

I blame you lot.

bluebump · 18/05/2011 18:46

Yikes i've not been on here for ages, iPod still broken and can't face running without it. I'm going out running with a friend tomorrow night - well she's run the marathon in the last 2 years and thinks I'm kidding when I say I can only run for 3 mins at the most and need to power walk in between! I keep telling her i'm only on week 3 but she thinks I can run with her for her 45 minute route Hmm Grin wish me luck! Grin

BearGryllsBra · 18/05/2011 18:49

Well done to everyone who is out there running :) , commiserations to those who can't for some reason or another :(.

  • am thinking of putting on my iPod for the next run- what d'you think?

Eat the Caramac SirCharlie.

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 18/05/2011 18:55

@bluebump - I once ran with someone who claimed to be unfit and was 6 inche taller with legs>armpits (unlike my stumpy excuses for legs). Unmitigated disaster. She ran FAR too fast, couldn't understand why I couldn't keep up, and it put me off running for 6 years, as I just concluded I Couldn't Run. Just be careful it doesn't do bad things to your motivation.

Aside: this is the first time after numerous attempts that I've actually stuck with C25K into week 4. I think it's because I'm doing a run every other day rather than 3x/week iyswim. I put it into the diary, and run no matter what. When it was x3/week I was always skipping days and it would take 8 or 9 days to complete a 'week'. When 'week' = 6 days, it really keeps my routine and motivation up.

BearGryllsBra · 18/05/2011 18:57

And I saw something about this on another thread and now I think I need one for the dark winter mornings because I won't want to get out of bed. Anyone got one? What do you think? Or is it a big pig in a poke?

sybil - or ?

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 18/05/2011 19:51

If I'm still running in September (and I hope I am) I'm going to buy a treadmill then.

BearGryllsBra · 18/05/2011 20:52

I really want one now. Have convinced myself I need one. But if they are so good, why do I see so many second hand and on eBay? Are they a one hit wonder like Chesney Hawkes? Hmmm. Me wanty though.

Eyebrows - we WILL still be running come September :)

SpawnChorus · 18/05/2011 21:50

W3R3 done. Slowly. Hmph.

Had a strong headwind though.
