More space for us to talk about our progress on the C25K programme, the highs, the lows, the hills, the rain, our pelvic floors and our choice of running music!

All are welcome on this international thread, stay with us and enjoy success Grin

Never did Laura, did a different app where you just had your own playlist. But just listened to Mr Blue Sky all the way through, for the first time in forever. It is totally fab Grin I love my new playlist!!

Together We are Beautiful is one of my all time favourites, it is quite slow, good for warming up and cooling down. Going to be going into Itunes and borrowing one or two ideas from some of your playlists later I think.

RatherBeOnThePea · 12/07/2011 20:48

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes - ooo love your list

really love Dancing in the Streets, Spirit in the Sky ( am going to add both)
and I haven't heard teenage kicks for ages, or Blondie, or Suzi Quatro, and obviously i love that gloria gaynor!

I'm loving this!

Shall I do a new thread? If one of you says yes, then I will because we are on 978 and we need each other! We can't get lost

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 12/07/2011 21:00

Thank you RatherBe. Well, I think I'm going to be downloading some ELO (actually I think we've got a greatest hits CD somewhere Blush, some Queen (definitely got a greatest hits somewhere). Also Tiger Feet (the first single I ever bought) Blush again.

I'll say yes to you doing a new thread if you don't mind doing it, don't want this one to run out. Thank you for doing this one!

Anyway, back to the running itself, my last two runs have been a bit, well crap, really. I have found a couple of problems since I got to the 40+ minutes stage, firstly finding the time to get out isn't as easy as it was for the shorter runs so I have dropped the frequency of running and secondly it really affects me if the weather is too warm, or it is too soon after eating etc. The latter is what has happened tonight, managed about 2.5k but that was partly walking, I was aiming for 5k running, so way off the mark, but I could feel my dinner bouncing around. I need to plan a bit better I think.

Sorry to hear about your accident DementedMa - hope your bruises are starting to heal.

BearGryllsBra · 12/07/2011 21:37

Chortle at David Bowie Grin Grin Grin Peas - I've been to see him too but in the ancient olden days of yore at the Glasgow Apollo. He was FABULOUS - I had a Ziggy stripe down my visage Grin. I've got Men At Work as my earworm now. Have also been to see Gloria at the Glasgow Apollo - love I Will Survive - tis on my iPod and will be transferred to running playlist pronto.

LOVE your list too WhoKnows - It's Not Unusual/Heart of Glass/Going Underground/CHIRPY Chirpy Cheep Cheep! - blast from the past or what! - all being added! I'm loving this sharing of music - will be fab to listen to something new and will be thinking of MN running buddies! Isn't is funny how we all like some of the same things :)

Am planning to run tomorrow, armed with my new updated playlist and hopefully my shag pile carpeted lungs will hold out. Hope you have a better run tomorrow WhoKnows, I'm getting a bit disheartened to be honest - my legs are ok, it's just my stupid breathing, it must be the weather Peas.

Keep those songs coming!

at kids and Benny Hill Grin - have mental picture of you running down the road now in Benny Hill type attire - brain bleach, brain bleach!!

And Peas/Pistey - yy to new thread, go on, you're the best at it , Head Girl duty and all that ......

sybilfaulty · 12/07/2011 21:37

Loving the music choices - I have most of them on my wetpod (so I can swim with it) and will rack my brains to think of anything else which others might like. The soundtrack to Priscilla is good for exercise

I did my 5 k this am in two parts, with only a bit of walking in between. Hurray! Slow as a snail though. Boo. Need to speed up. I struggle to overtake everyone, even people who are walking. Must try harder.

Keep on running everyone. And see you on the new thread soon (thanks Rather!)

sybilfaulty · 12/07/2011 21:39

If we are talking ELO, can I commend "sweet talking woman" to you all? It's great for singing along to as you pant along.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 12/07/2011 21:57

Queen - Don't Stop Me Know and Crazy Little Thing called Love added, also ELO Turn to Stone and Sweet Talkin Woman.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/07/2011 23:01

I love sweet talking woman and crazy little thing called love!!

Am off to do a new thread!
