(previous thread)

That's "king" as a suffix not a prefix. Also part of a phrase.

Above refers to Kemi and her benefits of Brexit

DuncinToffee · 31/01/2024 15:56

It's a work of fiction

VimtoVimto · 31/01/2024 16:04

Where’s Baldrick when you need him.

HannibalHeyes · 31/01/2024 16:05

Posting lots of irrelevant c&p upthread...

They knew what they voted for (and came out to celebrate it)

He knew what he voted for

2018: @IronMaiden 's Bruce Dickinson, "I voted for Brexit.. I'm relaxed about it.. There's a lot of nonsense and scare stories being made up.. Brexit will enable us to be more flexible.. Brexit opens our borders"

2024: Bruce Dickinson, "We're sitting here. We can't do anything. All this guff about not being able to play in Europe, and the Europeans not being able to play over here, and the work permits, and all the rest of the rubbish, come on!"

DuncinToffee · 04/02/2024 18:04

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/feb/04/eurostar-st-pancrasmay-cap-services-post-brexit-passport-checks-warns-station-owner

HS1, the owner and operator of the line and stations between London and the Channel tunnel, has raised concerns that planning for new Entry/Exit System (EES) checks at the London rail station are “severely inadequate”, and would lead to long delays and potential capping of services and passenger numbers.

Eurostar may cap services due to post-Brexit passport checks, warns station owner

Facilities at St Pancras too ‘inadequate’ to process new checks without ‘hour-long queues’ at peak times, says operator HS1

Dickinson should be taking this up with the one time Brexit negotiators. As far as I am aware a certain amount of FoM for musicians was on offer from the EU, but the Brexiters wanted none of it.

He and Daltrey could record "Brexit Blues"

Piers Morgan is an odious person, but he's done us all a favour by showing just how far beyond low Sunak is willing to go in his efforts to secure the racist vote.

But I guess that's the demographic that won them the Brexit vote...

beguilingeyes · 06/02/2024 06:24

I think I loathe Sunak more than I did Johnson, and I didn't think that was possible.

DuncinToffee · 07/02/2024 11:14

A new word is added to the #Brexit border lexicon: “TODCOF” — the “timed out decision contingency feature” — or the “we wave stuff through when we don’t have bandwidth to check the docs” feature.

"TAKE BACK CONTROL OF ARE BOARDERS"

Peregrina · 07/02/2024 12:55

or the “we wave stuff through when we don’t have bandwidth to check the docs” feature.

Or a licence for dodgy EU exporters to try their luck with substandard products and cross their fingers that they don't get caught.

HannibalHeyes · 07/02/2024 13:25

Or, indeed, to pay off inspectors so that they'll say they don't have the bandwidth...

Your second Bruce Dickinson quote is actually from a Sky News interview he gave in June 2021 - not 2024.

Dickinson obviously has plenty of tour dates booked for 2024 - including a European solo tour:

The band toured Europe in 2022 and 2023 (Covid was obviously still a factor in 2021):
