(previous thread)

That's "king" as a suffix not a prefix. Also part of a phrase.

So what exactly are you trying to say? That he didn't see that it was all shit for musicians in 2021?

So a world famous band has managed to get some tours on. Does that suddenly mean that unknown bands are not having problems?

Or are you just trying to obfuscate with your usual mix of whataboutery and irrelevant links?

The quote is from 2021 - not 2024.

The author of that tweet corrected the date, but hey don't believe everything you read on X....

From twitter;

BREAKING
Johnson was TOLD to publish his pro Brexit article by his Telegraph bosses, and also, if he did not back Brexit, he would lose his £275,000 salary from the Telegraph.
Would that be the same Johnson who was going through a divorce, and also had a large value of child support payments outgoing, who simply could not afford to lose his job at the Telegraph?

That would be a yes.

That would be a no.

Boris Johnson wasn't going through a divorce in 2016. He didn't split from his ex- wife until 2018 - not to mention that three of their four children had reached the age of 18 in 2016. Marina Wheeler (a barrister) took silk in Jan 2016, thereby increasing her earning potential and Johnson gave up his Telegraph salary when he accepted a ministerial position in July 2016. Some people think it was Marina Wheeler who influenced Johnson's to back Brexit;

More irrelevant waffle?

More obfuscation?

I hope Tufton Street/Putin is paying well enough for you to have literally no sense of shame...

@Peregrina Or a licence for dodgy EU exporters to try their luck with substandard products and cross their fingers that they don't get caught.

Romania tried it and were caught.

Unless criminals are caught, you will never know how many criminals there are.

That statistic relates to people in the US.

It wasn't remotely relevant! One was about how this government's actions could be illegal with respect to the Brexit agreement, the other was some list of countries that strike.

Do better...

The death of John Bruton has been announced. He was Ireland's Taoiseach during the initial phases of the peace process and again later. He was offered the post of EU ambassador to Washington and did an excellent job in that role.

m.independent.ie/irish-news/politics/richard-bruton-gives-emotional-dail-tribute-to-former-taoiseach-john-bruton-as-funeral-details-announced/a1577271743.html

His brother's tribute to him in the Dail touches on several strands of Irish history including education and the economic and philosophical benefits of the EU both for Ireland and the world, and the generally outward looking approach of Ireland since the 1960s.

The Washington Post emphasises his role in the peace process.

Guardian obit covers a broader span of his career.

The references to his family's farm are tongue in cheek - he was born into considerable landed wealth.
